I have added some of the titles now to my BitMit store.

As I find time, I will offer other games on BitMit as well.

How much would you like to get out of Star Wars: Dark Forces?

Let's talk business on PM, OK? Wink

Where are you from?

Small chicken-shaped country in the Centre of Europe. Why?

Shameless bump

All the games are still available for sale — come and get them while they're still vintage Wink

I can suggest Luana's Bijouxa webshop of handmade bijoux.

I contacted her via e-mail and although this was her first sale with BTC, she was happy to receive it.

As promised, the shipping costs were included in the price offered on the website and the package arrived as promissed in one week's time. She dispatched it the very next morning after receiving the amount.

Only one word of caution: these are not real stones, but same-styled beads, and the metal is plated non-allergenic zinc — as she also explains in the e-mail. For that amount of money you should not expect anything else anyway. That being said, they are still nicely crafted and my girlfriend likes them a lot.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience trading with Luana's Bijoux and I would do business with her again.

Since that first Bitcoin sale worked out nicely, she enlarged her Bitcoin-Webshop a lot Smiley

Hi friend, how have you been? Haven't seen you around in a while. Smiley

Hey! Cheesy

Oh, things are OK. Quite busy with FSFE, studying and whatnot, but there's a glimpse of a bright future Wink

And you?

Inspired by the I buy vintage PC games for Bitcoins thread I've decided to sell a part of my collection of vintage/classic PC games, which are mainly from the 1990's.

All games are originals (d'uh!), were played and cared for. Before selling each game, I check the CD(s) to make sure they still work.

If you are interested in any of these, don't hesitate to ask or contact me (e-mail, XMPP/Jabber or PM).

More games will be added as I dig and sort them out…

Boxed games:
These are games to which I have the original boxes. Unless otherwise stated, the boxes are from standard editions and include original manuals, original jewel case and everything that came with the box (often even the registration card.

3D Lemmings; Psygnosis
edition: Psygnosis Argentum Collection

Genewars; Bullfrog

Normality; Gremlin Interactive, Interplay ← sold

KKnD; Beam Software, Electronic Arts
edition: EA Classics

Animal; Microtime, Ocean

Dark Forces; LucasArts
edition: LucasArts White Label
Or simply order it on my BitMit store

Buried in Time — the Journeyman Project 2; Presto Studios, Sanctuary Woods ← sold

Phantasmagoria; Sierra
edition: Sierra Originals
Or simply order it on my BitMit store

Dungeon Keeper; Bullfrog
notes: original jewel case damaged, by preference I can either send it that way or replace it with a whole case
Or simply order it on BitMit store

Total Mania (a.k.a. Total Mayhem); Domark

Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri; Virgin, Looking Glass Technologies
notes: box also includes a zip-bag (which I don't know if it is original or not)

Simpsons Cartoon Studio; 20th Century Fox, Big Top

Microsoft Explorapedia: the World of Nature; Microsoft
notes: jewel case replaced, everything else (incl. EULA) included

MediEvil; SCE Studios, Sony
notes: PlayStation 1 game, original "jewel" case, original booklet, original inlay, additional promo CD (never had a PlayStation, but I guess this counts as "boxed" since I am not aware of any bigger boxes this game ever had)

Jewel cased games:
These are games to which I do not have the original boxes or (mostly the case) I never got or they never had cardboard boxes. So they are kept in the jewel/CD cases. Unless otherwise stated, they do not include any manuals, booklets etc.

Mission Force: CyberStorm; Sierra

Return to Zork; Infocom, Activision
notes: includes original booklet/manual; should come "with computer hardeware or perhipial devices", which I suppose is true, since I bought it in the computer store where I bought most my HW anyway Tongue

Hyper Blade; Wizbang!, Activision
notes: includes original booklet/manual; should come with a Diamond Monster 3D, but in my case didn't (same reason as with Zork)

Test Drive 5; Pitbull Syndicate, Accolade
notes: was bundled with some HW, but no idea what anymore

Tux Racer; Sunspire Studios
notes: yes, I have the Tux Racer original CD! Tongue

Mech Warrior 2: 31st Century Combat; Fasa Corporation, Activision
notes: original jewel case, original inlay, original manual

M.A.X.: Mechanized Assault & Exploration; Interplay
notes: original jewel case(?), original inlay, original manual

Warlords II Deluxe; SSG
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

Terminal Velocity; Terminal Reality, 3D Realms
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

Primal Rage; Atari, Time Warner
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

Pool Champion; Bitmasters, Mindscape
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

Jagged Alliance; Madlab, Sir-tech
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

Great Naval Battles 4: Burning Steel 1938-1942; Strategic Simulations Inc., Devide By Zero
notes: part of MegaPak 5, manual shared with other games in bundle (I can copy the needed pages, if you want to buy just one game)

I traded some BTC for EUR with him and found the EUR on my bank account the very next day (would be same day if the banks didn't take their time for the transfer)
12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Central now accepting EUR bank wires on: January 13, 2011, 01:59:34 PM
So does this mean I can upload my BTC to Bitcoin Central and get EUR on my bank account and vice versa?
13  Other / Meta / Re: XMPP/Jabber ID in forum user profiles on: January 13, 2011, 06:30:23 AM
@hook: I know that's OT, but: Do you have any idea how to get the FSFE to accept bitcoin donations?  Roll Eyes

AFAIK they're still thinking about it. But maybe if more people would pledge to donate via Bitcoin, it'd be easier.
14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Central now accepting EUR bank wires on: January 13, 2011, 06:27:17 AM
LREUR = euro pegged Liberty Reserve

Oh, OK. Thanks. So basically just another digital currency and not EUR.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Central now accepting EUR bank wires on: January 13, 2011, 12:04:27 AM
As a result of people requesting to fund their accounts by sending EUR in the mail, bank wire,  WU, and the insane difficulty/fees to get a hold of LREUR I've decided to add support for EUR currency and start accepting these funding methods.

WTF is a LREUR and what makes it different from EUR?
16  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I buy vintage PC games for Bitcoins on: January 09, 2011, 04:58:39 PM
Please do!

But, I'd need your e-mail address in order to do so Wink
17  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I buy vintage PC games for Bitcoins on: January 09, 2011, 04:34:38 PM
Hooo, me and my brother were trying to get outselves to sell some of our collection of the 1990's games for years now.

If you're interested I could e-mail you the list with details.
18  Other / Meta / Re: XMPP/Jabber ID in forum user profiles on: January 09, 2011, 01:44:08 AM
I don't think so, since the other IDs don't have a protocol. If you're already reading/filling the "IRC" field, there's no need to repeat the protocol. Something like "bob on freenode" or "bob@irc.freenode.net" might be sufficient. Same for JIDs.

I don't think bob@irc.example.net is valid. Also the whole idea of URI's is that they're unique. Cut them up, and they're not.

E.g. I've seen quite a few people with their own XMPP servers, where their e-mail and XMPP addresses were identical. So if you skip the protocol bit in the URI your system can't tell one from the other.

Quote
BTW, the defined URI scheme for XMPP is xmpp:matija.suklje@gabbler.org, not xmpp://matija.suklje@gabbler.org (reason: it's an identifier, not a location).

You are right there. My bad.
19  Other / Meta / Re: XMPP/Jabber ID in forum user profiles on: January 09, 2011, 01:16:05 AM
IRC, right.

While we're at it, should we use URIs for those?

e.g.
irc://irc.freenode.net/hook ← user "hook" at server irc.freenode.net
xmpp://matija.suklje@gabbler.org

Another problem is that
20  Other / Meta / XMPP/Jabber ID in forum user profiles on: January 09, 2011, 12:10:06 AM
I see that I can add YIM, AIM, MSN (none of which I use anymore) to my profile, but there is no option for XMPP (commonly known as Jabber).

Since this is the only popular FOSS IM protocol and the only decentralised one as well, it'd be nice to have it as an option.
