You are right, both teams started poorly this season. To be honest, I think Chelsea had the most disappointing start. Chelsea is currently 10th in the table, they have 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. The worst part is that they've conceded more goals than they've scored with a GD of -2. Chelsea is not performing the way I expect, I was thinking they would compete for the EPL since they're not playing any European competition.

Liverpool is not in good form as well, but their case is different, they have UCL matches to worry about, so the manager needs time to balance the squad and adapt as well. Chelsea only major competition is the EPL, they don't have to worry about resting players, complaining about fatigue or squad rotation, but they still perform poorly. I know they need time to settle with the new manager tactics, but despite that, their performance is not encouraging at all.

Although there is still time for Chelsea to bounce back, they still have the advantage of playing in only one major competition, maybe if the manager finally adapt, they can still compete for the title.

England has been one of the most consistent team since the start of this nations league campaign. They have won 2 games out of 3, kept 2 clean sheets, and the loss was against a strong team Spain, so where is the inconsistency?.
