That site has a terrible layout!  Each picture opens a new page?!

I heard the first shipment got hijacked by 3 lowered Civics with green neon lights, anyone got any details?

BTW  the next jump is coming in about 12 hours it looks to be 3.25 %

Use 5%   and see what you get for profits.  Use 10 % and see what you get for profits.

So much for Bitcoinwisdom's 11%.

People invent more advanced method to mine or bitcoin protocol may even change.
Once Bill Gates said "640K ought to be enough for anybody"
But so much of the acceleration like earlier period may not be there since the price is also somewhat stabilised.
The acceleration of liquidity due the acceptance of the corporate world will stabilise the btc more.

25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmaintech S1 Miner & Power Supply Fire (Nearly) on: July 09, 2014, 01:43:57 AM
If I were you, I'd have your current power supply checked out before continuing to use it.  Can't tell what has been damaged by the heat, and 1200w power supplies have plenty of current and can start a fire if some of the insulators are melted inside.

500-750W power supplies are cheap, pick up 3 of them, one for each miner, and if you don't split your leads, you should be okay.
26  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmaintech S1 Miner & Power Supply Fire (Nearly) on: July 08, 2014, 08:12:38 PM
Yeah, each blade on it's only lead back to the psu.  Do not split them, share them, etc.  the 6 pin pci-e plugs are meant to carry a max of 75watts.

If you are splitting it across 2 blades, you are pulling about 350watts...

Ill show u in the pictures...

Won't be long!

I know just what you did.. the cable on the psu side was 8 wires.

the cable split into 2 6 wire plugs you used 1 cable and it went from 8 to 12 wires.

this means 4 pos and 4 neg  became  6 pos and 6 neg

the problem is very simple  the 4+4 =8 pin side can not carry 360 or 400 watts.

you were just beyond its capabilities  so it took 3 weeks to show up.

27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU that will run two overclocked S3's on: July 08, 2014, 01:32:18 PM
Isnt it cheaper to just buy a 600w ps for each s3 rather than a massive one to share across 3 units?  Safer also, at lower current?

You are right, I miscounted the number of terminals on the board.

Right.  A single 6-pin = 6 wires, 3 for + and 3 for GND.  Right now, I am running 2 for + and 2 for GND, per blade.

I squeeze in 2x16 awg wires into each screw terminal on the power supply side, and it's been working pretty well.  On the S3, since there isn't a screw terminal on the Ant side anymore, this will be a bit of a challenge.
Maybe 16 awg pci-e cables will do the trick using 4 wires instead of 6?

Or maybe a new version of the adapter will have larger terminals to hold more wires?
31  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: M's Ant (S1/S2) Monitor v2.4 - now with alerts! on: July 06, 2014, 06:53:21 AM
Feature request:  can you make it reboot the S1 if the number of accepts have not changed in X minutes?  I am not sure if anyone else has issues, but sometimes I need to reboot my S1 (via GUI) to get it to hash again.  I notice it when the accepts go to zero, or stop increasing. Thanks!
32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Celebration of evolution of Bitcoin asic chips frame. on: July 05, 2014, 04:30:33 PM
I like this project, you can harvest chips from older miners by popping them into a reflow oven, since I think all of the are smt.

Size? Layers? How many?  If it's a proto run, itead and seeed studio can help you.

Bitmain probably has one of the best track records of shipping working products on time, but you should definitely wait until it's in stock before ordering if you don't feel like taking the risk.  You probably don't have to wait more than a month or so...
37  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 01, 2014, 04:56:53 AM
I wish Bitmain didn't drop wifi support on the S3, the wireless support on the S1 was very handy.

just put airport express or equivalent in the room you want it in, then connect to express via ethernet hub or directly. Router could be in another room (up to 100-150ft away).

Yeah, I know how to solve the problem, wish I didn't have to spend the $25 to do it.

Nice! The front plate looks pretty thin, will it carry the full weight of a loaded case?
