A lot has changed in the 6+ years since we started.

If original members can see the value, we can go far. We've already built the tool we just need more eyes to show how powerful it is, literally no one has seen or used us since we've developed the features as we haven't announced them anywhere - we've been delayed due to more exchange issues.   

As you asked, in the interest of being as upfront as possible here. It seems our history of bad experiences with exchanges has come back to haunt us, CREX24 is much much smaller than our previous exchanges so we didn't expect this. We paid a fee of over 0.2 BTC for a listing on CREX24 this year in preparation for our relaunching, with our main developer account holding a value of over 1 BTC in Bitcoin and Aricoin with them. CREX24 appear to have taken advantage of our situation and simply taken the funds from the account after listing us for only 6 months after payment for a lifetime listing, that's why the links aren't working for now - we've been trying to resolve this over the last few months. As it stands, CREX24 are currently holding our funds in limbo and not replying to emails, we want to give them the benefit of the doubt. We're going to give them a little more time to explain themselves before we post everything publicly.

We would appreciate any community support, or voices that can help get us onto more reputable exchanges.

Update: Trying to resolve trading issues with CREX24.

More nodes now online. All syncing issues should be resolved.

Thank you for additional information. All other users are able to sync without issues. Let's try and solve this:

1. Ensure there is enough free space on your disk for Aricoin to run. Our chain is around 800MB at the time of writing.

If that fails;
- Exit Aricoin client
- Go to data folder on windows: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Aricoin
- Delete blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat, and /database folder. Do not delete your wallet.dat
- Restart v1.3 and resync with network. Add reliable v1.3 nodes from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ari/#!network to aricoin.conf
 

The Aricoin blockchain launched 6 years ago this month. Development stopped 5 years ago due to agreements we had with exchanges failing. 

Did the issue resolve itself? Live nodes are hard coded into v1.3

 

Given recent security concerns raised by psycodad we are reevaluating how we move forward.

 

The tipping platform we developed works with an exchange's API, so unfortunately the project is dependant on that.

This is why it was so disheartening in 2014/15 to direct everyone to an exchange that got hacked just a few months later.

Aricoin is run by the community, the original developers left the project after the first exchange hack.

We are currently looking for new developers to help with the network side due to security concerns raised by psycodad.

Once we're on top of that, we can see what the next stages are with Aricoin's vision.

We hope the community can help with that!

In 2015, Aricoin reached 500 satoshi, who knows what we could have achieved without the disruption from exchange partners.

Ensure you backup your wallet.dat before upgrading - we can't stress the importance of how you should be doing this regularly anyway.
 

 

Urgent Update: Hardfork @ block 888k

Aricoin is performing a hardfork at block 888,000. This is an urgent update and the height will be reached within the next few days - the changes include an upgrade to our mining diff algorithm to help secure our network against recently attempted timewarp attacks.

Please rebuild from latest source (v1.3) ASAP:
