141  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now thought crime is terror in U.S.? on: June 11, 2014, 04:43:26 PM
We have gotten very Orwellian. The good news is that people are waking up to it.

I see no evidence of that. Snowden's revelations were met largely with yawns in the US. People are happy as tax cows, it's a comfortable life.

Comfortable but unfree.
One could say:

Quote
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Whistleblowers, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Whistleblower.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me
.

Why challenge the status quo when life is easy and comfortable?

Not that much different than earning an income.

Offer a service or start a business.

144  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 11, 2014, 04:32:49 PM
Bitstamp and btc-e are probably the easiest two out there to buy and sell.

You will need to be a geek to do this sort of thing.

Learning by practice is the only way to become an expert.

150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will plummet to $10 by first half of 2014 on: June 11, 2014, 03:34:27 PM
Yes.

Broken clock will right twice a day. Price were predicted all over the place and someone has to be right and most will be wrong.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Wondered whos pushing BTC price? Here is the answer. on: May 28, 2014, 10:24:30 AM
Lots of bitcoin is being held by US government and hence remove from circulation.

A small increase in demand can push the price very high.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: Quantitative Easing on: May 28, 2014, 09:36:58 AM
QE save not only the American economy, but probably also the world economy. Without it, probably the euro would have ended.
And since didn't provoke inflation, all considerations about its negative consequences didn't materialize (at least, yet).

Need to be careful to balance the trade off between long term and short term.

Pushing the problems down the road is not an ideal solution.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: OverStock Reported $1.6 Millions in Bitcoin Sales - WOW on: May 28, 2014, 09:32:51 AM
Number is quite low for the size of the company.
154  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Italy to add drug trafficking, prostitution to GDP figures on: May 28, 2014, 09:31:20 AM
Just like the unemployment figures here in the US. We only count people that are actively seeking work and don't count those that have given up. Then our politicians take turns patting themselves on the back for their cooked numbers while real employment and wages plummet.

Yes. The real unemployment rate is even worse than 2008.
155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China cites US for “unscrupulous” spying, wants IBM out of banks on: May 28, 2014, 09:24:20 AM
Both countries have been spying on each other for decades. Our moronic government just gave them the moral high ground with how far we took it. Both countries need a revolution.

Yes.

But people also over estimate the usefulness of cyber spying. Misinformation can be introduced into the already overloaded information and it can take years to make sense on most of it.

Resources are better spend fixing the issue at hand than worrying about your opponent.
156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US trains Syrian rebels in Qatar on: May 28, 2014, 09:16:11 AM
Asymmetric information warfare at played as well.

The goal is to confuse the population long enough to achieve the objective.

157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tens of thousands protest Turkish premier Recep Erdogan's visit to Germany on: May 28, 2014, 09:13:05 AM
Shame, if Erdogan had quit a couple of years ago he would hvae gone down in turkish history as an all-time great
Now he is just a power hungry douchebag like everyone else

Could be because he think he is doing the right thing.

Not much different than all the madmen in the history before him.

158  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Some of The Craziest Religions Out There? on: May 28, 2014, 09:10:20 AM
Most religions are somewhat crazy in their believe. But Scientology stand out to be one of the craziest right now.

160  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you make money each day! on: May 28, 2014, 09:07:15 AM
Hmm i just trade some alts, and do this sig campaign. It's not much but i think its worth it.

Learning PHP and Java get full time income from my PC..! Smiley
Yes i also will learn them!
Can you recommend some places or websites where i can learn them?

http://www.w3schools.com/

You can learn a lot better/faster by going to college as well. You'll also work on real-world projects there and you can get much better jobs as a result. The degree itself is worth quite a bit, but the connections you'll make are very valuable.

Don't really agree on going to college as most colleges these days are day care center.

But learning on real world project is very effective.

People will notice if you are good and can deliver.
