621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacks in November on: November 24, 2023, 11:58:22 PM

Seems hacking incidents this month are really huge! Do you think this is one of the many signs that we are already in the bull run?
Hackers are everywhere and trying to take advantage of a lot of users and volume, especially in Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
I am also curious even we have a lot of hacks this month, market still holding strong.

As you can see, the recent hacks were major in the DeFi market, different platforms or networks.
Weird how people still will get alarmed more when anything centralized gets hacked in any way. No matter if it's a casino, exchange, bank, or anything. They will say that "look, i told putting your money on centralized service was dangerous. It's your own fault."

Then they keep on praising dexes, just because they are decentralized. No matter if they are full of security holes. I am honestly weirded out how this $50 mil exlpot is now considered normal day in crypto. Not far back in days $10 million usd robbery was considered to be worth of hollywood a-listers movie, with unrealistic hackers, grifters, ninjas and femme fatales.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 24, 2023, 11:51:53 PM
I think this is something more people should be aware of. To begin with, it might seem like common sense to people in this board since most here are experienced with games and gambling platforms.
But to any new comer into the gambling scene it probably isn't as obvious.

What am I talking about? Well, at least once you must have stumbled upon a stream where someone plays slots. These streams are normally sponsored by the casino that hosts the games. They pay the streamer a salary and even fund his account. So the casino knows who the streamer is, what his account is and when he'll be playing.

The thing is, that these streamers get big wins so often that it seems very unlikely for their streaks to be happening at random.

We would know this as casinos say in their terms that playing with fun money does not incur the same level of randomness when playing with real money, which is really code for saying that fun money results to more flashy wins when you really can't win anything. So it's not unlikely that streamers are also getting some similar treatment as they don't play with their own money. This can attract their viewers to deposit and gamble with real money of course, but they'll very rarely get the same results.

This is something I've tried to highlight to my friends that want to get  into gambling, but overall not many people seem to be aware.
What has your experience been? Has this affected you or your friends?
Thing is, these are only theories as we can't prove that. Also casinos would be risking everything as they are constantly being audited. And we have to also remember that these influencers are playing with insanely large bets, and winning with them will get our attention, but we don't tend to register every lost bet as they slowly pile up. We notice surprisingly big jackpots easily, as hose videos will get shared in social media way more often then someone slowly losing their balance. Because that would be boring to watch and is no interest to anyone.

So getting more retweets for your biggest jackpot, then to your losing streak is understandable. That doesn't mean you are favorited by anyone, but it would look like that, especially if you were looking unconsciously for confirmation bias.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt tether buying btc the USDT might decouple of real USD on: November 24, 2023, 06:21:19 PM
Tether buying btc to back up USDT with valued asset.
It can only means that USDT might decouple of the USD.
Could be Bretton woods moment here.
The next year we could see USDT value against USD will grow.

Thy would usdt be more valuable then USD? That doesn't make any sense. It might go down though.

I get when companies are doing speculative investing, as they are accepting the risk by doing so. But when the they are doing it with a purpose to back up a price pegged asset, shouldn't all the backing be done with the same value in the first place? I seriously don't get this. I guess there are no laws requiring them to do this as banks aren't doing it either. But when banks crash, customers are often protected by goverments when they bail them out. Tether is just playing a dangerous investing game to max their profits imho
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 24, 2023, 06:05:16 PM
Yeah, I personally feel that slot games are a complete waste of time and money most of the time, I got this bonus from btcgosu's partnership with BetFury which awarded me a 77 free spins.

Bonus is still available for anyone to claim on https://www.btcgosu.com/blog/news/unleash-the-black-friday-magic-get-77-free-spins-with-code-gosu77-at-betfury/

I played slot game with the free spin and ended up with a total win of $16, but also hammered with a wager requirement of about $750 before I did be able to withdraw.

I continued playing slot with the $16, and soon, I had up to $55 in total amount won, I was really happy and hopeful that before I did lose all $55, I would have won much to enable me complete the wager requirement and possibly walk out in profit.

But unfortunately, I ended up losing the entire $55 dollar while I still had about $582 dollar in wager requirement, I am not confident enough to deposit and continue chasing, so I'm giving up.

I've never been lucky with slot games, never, and I am not pleased about it to be honest.
What about you?
I have once in my life actually managed to withdraw something like 70 bucks i won just by getting free spins by joining. Requirements to gamble weren't too bad, but i can't even remember what casino it was. Later after that i took some free bonus offers and realized how rare those opportunities are. Either requirements are beyond ridiculous or i am just not winning anything.

But in slots overall i have been dangerously lucky. I recently stopped winning and decided i needed to take a break. And what i mean by dangerously lucky is that when you are winning a lot, you get hooked. And start to believe it's more common or easy to win. This make you put more and more money in until reality hits, and it often hits when it's too late and i wanted to gamble more to get ath again. Or even back to the starting point. I have learned the hard way that gambling more to win back your money isn't a good attitude, so i am just taking a break from slots. I will eventually play them again, but now i've changed to sports betting.
625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can government track us. on: November 24, 2023, 05:49:32 PM
If I wanted to know something from people on this community, can government track us if we questions against there rules and laws or if they find it inappropriate.
What government are you talking about? Anyway, most governments are tracking people for various reasons. Most of them are not doing it just for having opinions, but if you are making threats or are in some way a danger to society or others. In some cases even if you are danger to yourself.

Ways to track and reasons to track vary depending your region's laws and resources. But yes, technically they can. Although they most likely wouldn't use their resources for random guy in the internet having wrong opinions. At least not if you are not living in totalitarian dicatorship.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 24, 2023, 05:35:32 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.
I don't even understand the question. Where did you hear about this claim? They both are winning with same rate because that's how betting probability works.
Rich people are winning bigger wins because they bet larger amounts. They are also losing larger amounts because of the same reason.
You hear about rich people winning more because it's more interesting when someone 10x a million then someone 10x:ing a dollar.

In short: you need to spend money to make money. Even though both would win in same ratio, smaller bets gets you smaller wins.

Well along this path of learning about casinos and everything they can do to Improve, I Have never seen leaving bitcointalk traffic be the best option , yes for non-crypto Casinos , fiat casinos Don't matter , because it is something that they have a level of Competition at other levels that are not those of those in Crypto , but to give a boost to a forum that is Satoshi's, where there are very large investors, where they will leave anything for a token They are doing it very well, I think it is not the right way, there is an old saying that they say where I saw it is:  "He who covers a lot, squeezes little" eventually if they got involved with tokens and a market like crypto, Well, they had to have some awareness of what they were getting into, not because of them with the token , but to have the necessary tact Because there were Investors who were there with them Buying their tokens, trusting in what they should be , whether they were Right or Wrong in their situation  casino , that Was not the Correct behavior.

First of all, I have to have a very futuristic vision, if at this Moment I don't have a casino in which I did all that, I am not exempt from doing things well and having everything collapse again, and when I want to emerge, who do I need? ? To the clients, to the players, to the audience, and to everything in the community possible, if they come to Bitcointalk again to do things better, to build on what they did, do you think they will have the highest level of trust that they had in them? No, because obviously how are you going to give it an opportunity when they let a token that looked very promising leave it alone in decentralized exchanges, and not worry about Raising the price or holding contests, or so many things, the advantage they have as a casino is that people trust more than any project they get from an alt, and that is Something that disappoints, for the Investors and players who Believed in the beginning.
Yeah, marketing trough bitcointalk was a good idea. Imho whole token was ingenious way to unite crypto investors and gamblers both wanting to invest into passive income. Both generating volume, because they were interested about the future of the token.

But among some other things they messed up was the plan. As their end game didn't seem to make any sense from the beginning. Casino was generating volume by people grinding and mining the token, but there was no clear plan what would happen next. Circulating supply kept rising and dividends decreasing. Mining for tokens didn't make any sense any more. And i am pretty sure they didn't even bother to check where in the world this centalized dividend distrubution from profits would be even legal, because betury ended up serving only handful of countries.

They had lots of promise and i ignored lots of red flags because of it.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Web3 Platforms Connecting Users with Opportunities on: November 23, 2023, 10:13:18 PM
This year, we've witnessed projects such as $Tia, $Pyth, $tip etc., offering users substantial airdrop rewards. Those with access to information secured the free drops, while individuals like myself, who lacked  access to such insights, missed out.

Naturally, a thought came to mind: What if there were a web3 exploration incentive platform that allowed users to engage with popular mainnet projects, unlock airdrop opportunities, and receive rewards within the ecosystem? This way, belonging to the community would provide easy access to airdrop information. I think something like this should be created. That is, if it's not in existence already. Your thoughts?
Reasons why airdrops are valuable is that they are hard to get, not easy to see beforehand, or if they are, they are wither controlled by whales or just won't end up being valuable.
Reason i got expensive airdrops in the past wasn't because i was hunting them. I didn't even see them coming. I was just excited about the right project before majority of people even knew about it.

Uniswap users didn't know they were going to be rewarded, most nft traders didn't either. If there would have been more people getting rewarded, it would have just made rewards smaller, or bots doing all the work.
629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone just paid 83BTC for transaction fee, on: November 23, 2023, 09:58:26 PM
It might be also a part of  money laundering scheme. Pools are free to include into candidate block its own transactions which are "hidden" for other miners till that block is mined.

The pools with  enough  calculation power are even have capability  to mine a few blocks that are not visible to other miners. This is cold a selfish mining.

I never even thought about this, but this is most plausible theory, and i do have to admit it's pretty clever way to launder money.
Although i am guessing that this isn't going to be efficient way for much longer if people are paying attention to this, and watching the money closely.

I am not sure if officials have yet enough resources to learn and track every new way though.

630  Economy / Economics / Re: There is possibility of great reset and bail out by crypto holders on: November 23, 2023, 09:43:04 PM
any common sense person can see that our banks and all the financial system not well.
and you can't stop fire with more fire.....so some new solution is required.
We have high possibility that the fed and other ones might looking for solution and they might use crypto to bail out.
with NFT -s it's simple you give real physical asset  ownership rights to nft owner.
For USD funds, everything goes usdc,usdt,busd...paxos usd and all the others.
Crypto owners might save the world in return they get the assets like real estate.

Except you don't transfer ownership rights for physical assets by transferring the NFTs. That's an illusion sold by people who are trying to hype you some scam.
There are ton of laws that comes to way but in short, that's not backed by any law, or if you found a way to do that, token would just be in a way, because there would be real paperwork
and your id needed for transferring real estate contract, or company shares for example.

In the future nft as an official certificate could work but there are many hurdles to cross before that's real.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find new mineable coins at very early stage? on: November 23, 2023, 09:21:08 PM
Are there any sites which shows coins even more earlier than miningpoolstats?

thanks in advance.
I used to monitor Altcoin announcements in here for that, as it was considered to be fair launch when everyone knew beforehand before mining starts. I am not sure if that's a correct protocol to announce these days.

I think miningpoolstats is your best bet but you might want to ask from altcoin mining section in here. I am sure that there are way more active miners who are experts on this subject.

Interesting angle, but how often you find new cryptocurrencies there? As reddit isn't an epicenter for cryptos. In fact it's just everything in there in ungategorized order. And usually reddit page is not a first thing coins do. Lot's of the new projects won't even look at the reddit
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges being attacked in the verge of BTC ETF on: November 23, 2023, 01:14:52 PM
What an eventful week it has been regarding cryptocurrency exchanges! We witnessed CZ stepping down, Bittrex announcing the suspension of its operations starting from December, and Kraken facing a significant lawsuit. There are a few key points to consider:

1) Is the recent decline in exchanges' fortunes a result of natural market forces or deliberate manipulation? This question might seem rhetorical given the circumstances.
Attacking some exchange because it's guilty of money laundering is different from just attacking an exchange without any proof.
I mean it was found guilty so how making someone paying for their crimes some kind of manipulation?

Obviously they have to drain the swamp before whole scene is ready for BTC ETF. That just means they are taking this field seriously enough and want to make it ready for it.

2) With Bittrex shutting down, many users are left wondering where they will migrate their activities. Have you made any decisions regarding your future exchange of choice?
Bittrex shut down their operations in most countries in 2019. It was already in life support as it was. This was just pulling the plug as they eventually needed to do that anyway.

3) Could these exchange-related developments potentially trigger a major unforeseen event (a "Black Swan" event)? Or will the approval of a Bitcoin ETF override all other concerns and become the focal point of attention?
These have been long time coming. They weren't sudden. I thought that the attack against binance was personal, but deeper study made me realize that every exchange were going trough same things. Just like with crypto debit cards. They weren't eu compatable in the first place. Bitcoin rises now because people see centralized exchanges in danger and actually decentralized cryptos are something that are supposed to be resilient against this. But ironically people are waiting for bitcoin etf which i see a danger to bitcoin's original idea.

I am not sure what you mean by black swan event here. How would it present itself?
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: November 23, 2023, 12:50:18 PM
Yes I think we all was thinking the price of BNB would go down alot. And if you do hodl the coin then you canbme ok with what the price is.

So now the US prosecutors think if CZ goes to UAE he might not return for the trial. So they want him to remain in the US.

https://www.reuters.com/technology/us-prosecutors-want-binances-zhao-remain-us-until-sentencing-filing-2023-11-22/
But is he a flight risk or not? With that status hiding is nearly impossible, but you can do magic with the money he has.
For example he could buy a citizenship from a country that doesn't have extradition agreement with us. I am sure he wouldn't like to do that, but better that then getting several life sentences in US prison.
I am not sure why he decided to even go to us in the first place, but maybe that was a part of his plan to keep the legitimacy of binance itself.
634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has resigned as Binance CEO. on: November 22, 2023, 10:26:30 PM
Yes, they can afford to pay that and they've got more money for sure because if they're able to pay and settle with that fine. It only means that they have a bigger pocket and that won't make them bankrupt because of it. And on this expenses, this isn't a loss for them but they can treat it as an investment and settlement because their operations can now go without interruption and you know that it's just like a public under the table matter.
If some company can afford it, it's definitely binance. But i don't believe that even they have that kind of money lying around. Large sums of money are usually tied to something. company shares, real estates,  subsidiares or cryptos and stuff like that.

Question is: what assets will they be liquidating to afford it, and if it's cryptos, i am hoping they are doing otc trades, because 4.3 billion sell pressure is enough to tank almost anything.

There, weekly/monthly and some other bonuses need to be claimed through a coupon link that being shared in telegram channel and email, dont you know about it?
I do not mean to compare or to say which one is better because every casino has their own system and preferences on how to distribute the bonus.
Well that was embarrassing for me, i checked and i stand corrected. I remember seeing something like that in telegram, but thought that those were more like an airdrops for first takers with right requirements or something. And since i have totally messed up my telegram by joining to hundreds of channels, i don't keep up with anything and lost interest to use it. Maybe i should. At least when the bullrun starts.

But yeah, claim button is cool. But i am certain that i've seen that been used in somewhere else. Because i remember forgetting to log in and claiming the money, and then i just started ignoring the whole concept. It's not like i was high level player or anything. I am just having fun.
636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you need to know about trading on: November 22, 2023, 09:54:06 PM
Most people think life is a bed of roses, is all about sunshine,  enjoyment etc not knowing that there's always a  tough time and the ability of one to overcome this time makes him great.
Most people? Really? I haven't heard anyone claiming that. I am not sure where you encounter these people. I even tried to see if i find anything like that from the internet by googling "trading is easy" and all i  got was articles claiming that trading is hard work. But if you have heard someone, influencer, or anyone saying that, unsubscribe and don't listen. You have probably been part of some weird echo chamber and need to revisit everything else you have heard.

There are way more ex poor traders than there are successful ones, because trading, especially day trading is hard. High frequency trading is done by bots so fast that no normie would have an access to that kind of tech. It's a game of probability, patience, math and luck. It's time consuming and so stressfull that i can't put a figure what would compensate the work.

Maybe some people are build to take that kind of stress, and sleepless nights. But i don't think many relationships survive that kind of need to be able to act fast and trade at all times. So i really don't know where you heard about this sunshine, but either you were lied to or they don't know anything.

Just hodl and you can have a satifying life while doing it.

Do you take these Psychic predictions seriously?
-cut-
Well obviously not. There's a 10000 to one of these psychics that will claim to have psychic powers and lose, so statistically there has to be a random number picker that gets it right. Someone saying they had a dream about winning a lottery is very common, so obviously sometimes some of them will win. And they think it's because some vague symbolic dream. If they are superstitious they take it as confirmation bias. And of course it's a news story every time anyone say that they had precognitive dreams. Everyone wants to believe them because everyone wants a change to win in lottery.

Binance CEO, changpeng Zhao, popularly known as CZ, have stepped down as Binance CEO, after pleading guilty to violating criminal anti-money laundering requirements.
-cut-
It seems i can't withdraw fiat money from there right now, so that's a huge red flag.

I am pretty sure that if Binance has enough money to opertate after this, they just tighten their AML policy. That will make some users mad, as more accounts will be frozen then ever before. That alone will cause fud and people will be angry, but not as angry as towards SBF as not everyone will lose all their money.

But he is most likely going to jail as an example if it's believable to the court/judge that he knowingly broke AML laws, but it's harder to point out it was his intention.
And penalty of that size would hint jail time as well.

I know i've been wrong before, but like i pointed out in other threat that i don't believe this is in any way bullish news. If binance needs to liquidate their assets to pay the bills, it takes down both btc and alts. If that seems unlikely, do a graphical comparison of 4.3 million dollars and 4.3 billions to get visualization of the difference. Billion just too much for our brains to grasp.

Finally justice has been served. F*cking scammer CZ is admitted that he is a scammer

639  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: November 22, 2023, 11:07:13 AM
The great thing with their VIP bonuses is that players do no need to wait for the casino to post a link or coupon code or contact support in order to claim the bonuses because Shuffle provide CLAIM button.
Anytime a player has a bonus to claim (lets say weekly bonus or level up reward), the claim button will be active and there is also notification for players when they get something to claim.
The slot challenge is also attractive enough, the minimum bet and the multiplier to beat is reasonable enough to chase especially for those who like to play slot games.
I thought it was pretty much a standard in quality casinos. In fact i have never even seen a casino where you need a coupon code for that, but maybe i have just been playing in good casinos.

Well I have not really taken the time to read through the token plans and development roadmap, and also I have not been active in the discussion but I have followed up only with the aspect of the opportunity to make a enough profits on the long run and I guess the purpose of the snapshot is to build a better clean system before the project take off in full fledge.

Most important aspect of the token development is the ecosystem that the team build for the token to thrive in and how best the team handles their exchange listing process and what their allow to effect or have room in the cause of the process of development e.g their ability to sustain the token on multiple exchange and knowing when to enter larger market.
There isn't really any roadmap or plans available yet. And tokenomics are still pretty vague as well, so you haven't missed a lot. But i am totally disagreeing that focus should be in any way to be sustaining it in multiple  exchanges. Tokenomics and buybacks are way more important then putting it to markets where no one have heard of it without any buy liquidity. Or paying for market makers to get some.

Pressured to be listed on exchanges might just drop the token value, as exchanges often want the tokens as well with the payment for listing. So exchanges can manipulate the price with sell pressure if they want.

CEXEs are overrated when it comes to tokens, and it's not like dexes lack volume. I just checked and uniswap had $1,327,912,539 Trading Volume in last 24h

640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Binance has to pay $4.3 bn fines in US on: November 22, 2023, 10:33:21 AM
So, this is freaking huge event.

Binance has been found guilty for money laundering and has to pay $4.3 Billion USD in penalties.

CZ has been found guilty and resigned from CEO position. Now he is out with a bail.

People seem to be unsure how this affects, but i for example am confused how fast this got solved.

So what do you people think? Is this bullish or bearish? Boxmining in youtube seems to be bullish, but that's what crypto hypers often do.
Everything needs to be bullish, even if that means being in denial, because they get their livinghood from bullish people.

Was this something we need for growth in a long run? Does binance have liquidity for penalties if there will be a bank run from there? Is CZ going to same jail with SBF?

Markets are dumping BNB, even though they are pretty careful so far, as it's only -9.25% in 1 day.

I would think that shorting bnb could be a smart call after the panic starts. And it takes some time, but if binance needs to liquidate alts and btc. Everything is going down for sure.
