1  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: July 01, 2021, 10:03:08 AM
If there is any reasons for me to leave this forum would be that I have been substantially ban for one week and so many of my post have been moderated severally. But am still here because I don't see leaving as an option. I have made up my mind and determined to be an existing member of this forum and for that reason am not leaving. I must contribute positively to this forum.

Congratulations Theymos for another year of successfulness ahead. I wish you more years to celebrate.  Sorry my wish for you is coming this late but accept it from me that you will live to achieve all God's plan for you

Let him have it if it's deserved, though I have no clue what his original offense was.  If you could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it.

I think these 2 accounts were banned for spam. He writes and creates his posts only in META. And there were complaints about a lot of posts. Today's two accounts woke up at the same time, and both were banned for a week.
There is nothing useful in his topics, and in almost all topics there is communication with oneself.
He has a negative tag on 2 accounts and one neutral donated to nutildah.

I have no direct evidence, but only this character has a style of writing on the name of the forum.

Forum mission is to encourage everyone to be in the ecosystem.

Bitcointalk forum is an organized ecosystem
and

This challenges has now make registration of bitcointalk account difficult mostly for the newbies and thereby also causing limitations to the population of people wishing to be long to this lovely ecosystem.
I Suggests if account registration can be done without VPN or either if the related problem above can be Minimize.

And there is also plagiarism that has been forgiven by the moderators. Sometimes people do not appreciate kindness, but they still have to pay for their stupidity.

<snip>
<snip>
Wow, two newbies who created accounts on the forum about an hour and a half apart posting consecutively with shitposts.  Guess people really are still account farming these days.

This character is sick, and he suffers from a split personality. It is naive to think that we will not notice his writing style. He loves to talk to himself, impersonating each of his accounts as different people.
The only thing I regret is that the moderators regretted Delight Media for plagiarism, and did not block him and his IP.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg57050646#msg57050646

Until then, we will see this poster in META every day.

I don't think that OP would be dumb enough to be ban evading by making a thread in meta thanking for a un ban

Believe it or not, the way you named it, this is exactly the case.

This is hatred. It's unfortunate you have no idea of why I was substantially ban for a week. Beside I don't know what you mean by I have a multiple account. What evidence do you have. I was ban because of my low quality Post. I don't know the user of the above account name you mentioned along side with my user name.
We all are bound to make mistake and learn from our mistake. But you're here crucifying me.
I guess you were once a newbie? Why then making me feel like I am not needed here? If everyone leave Here for you will you be able to make a community alone? Dude I urge you to mind your business if nothing important to say.
4  Other / Meta / Apology on: June 23, 2021, 05:46:13 AM
This is to appreciate the mod most especially theymos for lifting the restrictions on my account that was substantially ban before. I promised u wouldn't repeat the same error message that lead to the ban.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Is The Purpose of The Merit System Defeated? on: June 14, 2021, 01:12:26 PM
What you propose is a modified newbie jail... Here's what Theymos said about this concept:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4538227.msg40849533#msg40849533

--snip--
Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community. Newbie jail will never return: I consider the newbie-jail period to have been extremely damaging to the forum. When barriers to participation are too high, then the best people often just won't go to the trouble of joining, and the people who are willing to jump through the hoops are often people who aren't good for the community: people with nothing better to do, scammers, get-rick-quickers, etc. Having a permanent newbie jail policy would improve things a lot in the short-term, but would end up being a fatal poison to the community.

The low signal-to-noise is a real issue which seriously annoys me and is often on my mind. But as you mention, fixing it non-destructively is difficult.

So, the odds of this proposal being implemented are small...
From themos Post I found a fact that the forum aren't really happy over any decision that will demand mod of post or topic or account banning. Forum mission is to encourage everyone to be in the ecosystem.

The thought and idea people has towards merit is just too adamant that got me thinking like what do users really think is the purpose of existence in the forum? Merit is not a title but an encouragement to user with a helpful and quality post. But many users misunderstood this fact and begins to abuse the forum simply because the needed merits.

6  Other / Meta / RECOMMENDATION FOR GENERATING FUNDS on: June 12, 2021, 06:18:07 AM
Forum as an organized place where people are meet for serious business discussion regarding bitcoin and other altcoin need to have a fund generating platform for periodical maintenance of the forum for a conducive environment. Generally Forum are usually made of either a large or small number of people with different business coming together to achieve one aim. But for the bitcointalk forum our purpose as a member is to keep bitcoin dialogue threading and equally generating a useful idea that can solve already existing problem and future problem.
As a participating forum member I have I see reasons for the forum to have a medium through which funds can be raise for the maintenance of this forum. The depicted list are the mediums for funding raising.
1. Registration fee: the forum should be rearranged in the other at which every nee member can pay some dues as gate fee that can grant them registration access to the forum.
2. Finding fee: every member that is caught violating the forum rule should be made to pay find before they can be allowed to participate again in the forum
3. Market capitalisation and bounty pools should be deposited here till any company round up their bounty campaign. At the end their money will be sent to them and the forum shall be compensated.

I believe if the above recommendations is implemented, the forum will have enough fund in maintaining this forum.
7  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal to Forum Academy Trainee on: June 11, 2021, 09:50:15 PM
I was once a newbie and posting images doesn't in any way lead to a ban. You just have to buy the copper membership if you can't wait to rank up. Besides, ranking up is fairly easy so your opinion that the barrier is too much is irrelevant.
I am sure if there is a preordaining of newbies there will be an easy job also for the mod to do. This idea of getting mod in most topic or post by newbies is not a welcoming idea. I heard you mentioned buying a rank; is not all newbies are financially capable to buy rank and I think is better to earn a rank by a diligent work of good post than buying. I demand mod to play a positive role on this topic.

Before posting this topic I have made some research and I find out that newbies are not allowed to post pictures. I see the barrier to be too much. Some newbies who actually may not know this might make the mistake and post link and has their account ban. It will be a good Idea if there can be an alternative to my proposals
How is "the barrier too much"? Can't use [img] tags? Simply just link the photo!

Like so: https://i.imgur.com/WeLJOtE.png

If you create a topic/reply that's compelling/constructive enough, people are going to read your reply. Heck, in most cases posting a picture is unnecessary. And in some cases(depends), posting a link of a picture is better because it makes the post a lot less cluttered.

Some newbies who actually may not know this might make the mistake and post link and has their account ban. It will be a good Idea if there can be an alternative to my proposals
How does one person mistakenly post a malicious link?
I must emphasize on this topic. The plain truth is preference are be given to some users than newbies and I want this Bridges to be lifted. Do you know some newbies are better than some senior members here? I just heard someone saying rank should be purchased now how sure are we someone that bought rank and didn't know the difficulties in attaining a rank can not post link that is against the forum rules.

I am then suggesting here if the mod can help crest an academic platform where newbies can be train or educated for few period of month or weeks and after such there should an examination section to test the skill ability of any newbies and the successful newbies should then be given an access to participate in the forum discussion without any restrictions.

That's taking it a bit too far just for a rank increase, no?

In the first place, you can still discuss and communicate with everyone without any problem. If you need to post pics, then just post the link to the pic (most preferably through imgur). And yes, it's to prevent spam.

And if you want to actually learn, there's already a crap ton of content on the interwebz about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Before posting this topic I have made some research and I find out that newbies are not allowed to post pictures. I see the barrier to be too much. Some newbies who actually may not know this might make the mistake and post link and has their account ban. It will be a good Idea if there can be an alternative to my proposals
9  Other / Meta / Proposal to Forum Academy Trainee on: June 11, 2021, 03:51:44 PM
I simply don't if this topic already existing but for the fact I have not come across it I have to create this here.
I came across a topic that doesn't allow newbies to post link here in the forum may for a reason that newbies are not good enough or fully familiar with all the content of the forum or either for an abuse, I really can't figure out the reason for such restrictions since it's not explain in the forum. I am then suggesting here if the mod can help crest an academic platform where newbies can be train or educated for few period of month or weeks and after such there should an examination section to test the skill ability of any newbies and the successful newbies should then be given an access to participate in the forum discussion without any restrictions. The truth is some newbies raise contribute awesomely than even some senior member in terms of their post. I will be glad if my proposals is been given a consideration to comprehensive provision.
I need your comply mod and I look forward to a better feedback
10  Other / Meta / Re: Can moderators be asked to close threads of banned accounts? on: June 11, 2021, 02:57:01 PM
I dont know or more i have forgot it but is it possible that a banned Account can lock his Thread and and unlock it again ?
Guess i have seen it somewhere the answer but dont know where and i am a bit lazy today , sry  Kiss
Should be normal possible that they can do this as they can do some little other things too.
Actually a ban users can still have access to lock their topic and also unlock it. The only things such users cannot do is replying or quoting on it.

12  Other / Meta / Re: 🔴 Problem with an inappropriate attitude (racism) on Bitcointalk on: June 11, 2021, 01:37:35 AM
Wow that is definitely not okay. Did you report him?

I think the moderators will pick up on this thread and take appropriate actions.

It is 2021, racism shouldn't be tolerated anywhere on this world, online or offline.
In addition to your post, I don't think racism can be possible here on the forum for the fact that everyone in the ecosystem are chatting and no video of oneself or pictures that can tells if a person is white or black.... Conclusively from the above topic , mod can't be applied as a result that racism are not moderated.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time to increase the Emojis ? on: June 11, 2021, 01:30:50 AM
Emoji are powerful and unique pictorial representation use for communication between people existing in the same ecosystem. It help helps convey message in an easy and simple pattern. It's good idea demanding for more useful emoji. This will ease people from writing long story
14  Other / Meta / Re: How to hide Elon Musk topics? Reqest for userscript on: June 11, 2021, 12:57:19 AM
Elon musk every where. What so special about him? Because I see people taking him as something else. I have heard and read so much about him and I think the mod has to put his topic behind bar.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Can moderators be asked to close threads of banned accounts? on: June 11, 2021, 12:15:08 AM
User's topic maybe considered worthy by the mod. If the topic is not it would have be moderated and or either took to off topic. I see no reason why ban account has to be deleted simply because they are ban. Some of their topic raised and contribution can still be a solution to some of the problems that may arise.
