1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: October 13, 2015, 10:55:30 AM
I'm not sure if its the future per se but it will likely definitely be used quite substantially. There are just too many benefits to using it. I think bitcoin will become used more in illegal gambling too which may not be a bad thing. People using it for anything is good in my opinion as it makes it more in demand.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does escrow thing works??? Plzz explain me on: September 15, 2015, 04:12:03 PM
Simply put: You send money to escrow. Seller sends item to you. Escrow releases money to seller.
3  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 450 + Potential Accounts .. on: September 15, 2015, 04:06:55 PM
How much would you pay?
My account has a potential of 308.
Name your raw price.

How much are you looking to pay for a potential Hero? If you state your price you'll get more interest.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kanye 2020 on: September 05, 2015, 02:47:51 PM
I think it would be a fantastic caricaturization of the fact we are living on the end times of a collapsing system. A hip hop popstar leading the United States would constitute the ultimate proof that the world has gone completely insane. At least we would have a president with plenty of swag tho.

It's not that ridiculous. Presidents like George W Bush wern't exactly qualified to run the nation. Kanye isn't going to get in but he should take Trump as his running partner / prospective VP.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get rights reserved for a website or a new game ? based on bitcoins! on: August 23, 2015, 03:47:49 PM
Lets say i have a new websie idea or a new game , how to get full rights so noone will do like you ? i dont understand !

You can't. If its a good idea someone will copy and steal it. That's just something that happens. It's really difficult to come up with an original idea but even harder to get funding.
8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-06] 99bitcoins - 20 Bitcoin experts you should be following on Twitter on: August 06, 2015, 10:56:02 AM
Not a bad list and seems to cover all the main guys plus some others that I wasn't aware of. Was expexcting it to be a list full of celebs who had said something about bitcoin.

Number 10 has a interesting name: Perianne Boring  Cheesy

9  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 06, 2015, 10:50:28 AM
Every time you spend money write it down. Easier to keep track of your expenses if you see them on paper.
Once you know that amount and what you're using it on, you can make informed decisions as to where you can reduce your spending in order to save that money instead.

yes, a budget that you put down on paper/spreadsheet will probably show you some expenses you never really thought of, and its a good idea to add EVERYTHING, even small monthly expenses like $8/month for netflix should be on there, if you dont account for that stuff you're only hurting yourself

Things like netflix and such are the stuff that people should be getting rid of. Paying for TV isn't needed at all as you can stream or download pretty much everything you want from alternative sources. Getting rid of non essentials even if it's just a little a month all adds up and this a is a great way to save.
10  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 01, 2015, 03:33:59 PM
He is better off doing monthly payments in my opinion. Not sure why everyone is so worried though as they always pay. If he needs someone to hold the BTC and fill the wallet I can do it for him.

Hasn't this always been weekly? I think they did it to try get the edge on competition as mostly people seem to prefer weekly payments and want to get their bitcoins asap.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Noam Chomsky - Anarchism and misguided Libertarians on: August 01, 2015, 03:32:01 PM
Americans to me seem to tend to either not know what socialism or libertarianism is or they have a completely different definition of the rest of the world (and Chomsky says something similar). They always seem to think socialism is some great evil but that's because they just believe the fearmongering and propoganda.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Real Untold Story Of Government's Takedown of Silk Road on: July 03, 2015, 12:33:16 PM

There might be a lot of holes but the US gov wont care. They got their man by any means necessary and that's all that matters to them.

That's the key bit. If he was buried on the basis of multiple fudgings, mistakes and lies then a little opening emerges for appeals.

Personally I think he's dick who deserved to go down, but anyone looking at how it played out would be hard pressed to say he got a fair trial.

Even if you're caught with a vat of boiling school children, you still have that right.

I also felt the same way as you did, but watching the Silk Road documentary I feel a bit sorry for him and definitly think he got an unfair trail. Funny how the US can do whatever they want to put someone away and disregard their defense on valid points and can also hack into peoples data and communications en mass but if one person does it against someone else they're a criminal and ca be put away for it.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the reason why Satoshi didnt use his 500k-1Million Bitcoins on: July 03, 2015, 12:30:18 PM
I think there's only three possible reasons:

1) Morally he doesn't think it's right to keep them
2) He's dead
3) He's bitcoin's biggest hodler and is going to be the world's first trillionaire  Grin.
14  Economy / Services / Re: [3 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Earn up to 0.16 BTC Per Month! on: June 14, 2015, 08:52:52 AM
Are slots reserved for existing campaign members? I see several members got paid including me but no additional slots have opened up in the op. If yes I'd like to go again if possible. Thanks.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: June 13, 2015, 11:46:31 AM
They must charge fees, or they will get spammed.  You know the drill.

From this blog post:

Quote
OpenBazaar will always be open source and MIT licensed. As a global software community, we’ve intentionally created OpenBazaar so that there are no fees required to use the network, and there is no central authority controlling trade, taking a cut, or monitoring data.

http://avc.com/2015/06/future-friday-openbazaar-and-ob1/

I'm no expert on the technology so  I'm not 100% sure how it works but it might be best charging minimal fees and having them distributed to the people who run/host the client in a similar way to how bitcoin mining works. Does anyone know how the escrow function will work? That could be the trickiest part or weak link in the system.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Rumour] Top Gear Presenters going to Netflix on: June 13, 2015, 11:43:01 AM
My friend showed my a 9GAG post or from some humor related site that they might go to netflix. What about all the international viewers that can't use netflix?

The BBC has boasted before about how many illegal downloads the show gets from torrent sites etc. I think I read iot is one of the most pirated TV shows ever.

It hasn't even been aired yet so this is just hype. Besides, viewing figures are bullshit based on guestimations. The only fairly accurate figures are from the Iplayer and even that can be manipulated.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to support your favorite alt coin on: June 10, 2015, 09:55:44 AM
Well I would say promote it by using it to buy things with, but I guess that's one of the main problems with alt coins is there's not really many things you can actually spend them on.
18  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-09] CNN Money: Your bank account: The next thing to go obsolete on: June 10, 2015, 09:50:58 AM
It'll be a long time before bank accounts in the Western World are replaced or go the way of the Dodo, but for the unbanked in developing nations bitcoin and these types of services may be their only option so I could see this as a way for bitcoin to flourish.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST FREE SOCCER/FOOTBALL BETS #1✔✔✔(W295/L90)PREMIUM PICKS FOR ONLY 0.01 BTC!!! on: June 10, 2015, 09:46:40 AM
Are you doing any picks for the Euro qualifiers on the weekend?

https://www.skybet.com/football/euro-2016

I might do a few big accumulators on the favourites but some I'm undecided about.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme on: June 10, 2015, 09:43:36 AM
An interesting quote from the article about the HODLers:

Quote
......The catch-22 is people buy Bitcoins because they think the price will go to infinity and beyond once everybody uses them, but they don't spend their own Bitcoins because they think the price will go to infinity and beyond once everybody else uses them. And so nobody uses them.
But if nobody uses them, then the price will stay stuck at something a lot less than infinity let alone beyond. So the Bitcoin faithful have tried to not only convert people, but also convince them to martyr themselves, financially-speaking, for the crypto cause.....

Except not everyone is a 'hodler' and looking at the blockchain people are quite clearly spending them on things. Bitcoin needs both holdlers and spenders and that's what it's got. Besides, those hodlers will spend or cash out once bitcoin gets to their desired price.
