I agree, for 80 minutes it was pure Argentina and I really enjoyed watching it that way too, just to see a team win and it was world cup finals so it wasn't really a bad game, sometimes it just one team winning.

But then Mbappe happened and suddenly we got a very close game, not even just that but after that 3-3, we had one position where Kolo was against Martinez and everyone looked at that as a sure thing, even French players got inside the field for a short meter or two to celebrate and then Martinez saved it. All in all it was the craziest game I have seen in a long time. 99% sure that France could be easy winners for this Euro, they are still quite young to keep winning.

I didn't want to comment on the referees because I don't want someone who didn't watch the game to think I'm searching for excuses for the draw. But I agree with you. Except for those two situations you mentioned where one referee said the ball was for Croatia and the other ruled a suspension and a penalty, I remember a few more situations where the decisions were just wrong. I understand that referees are also just humans and prone to making a mistake, but yesterday there were a lot of mistakes and after almost every mistake Croatia ended up with a suspension or a penalty against.

But OK... Croatia must go on, beat the last two games with as big a goal difference as they can and hope that other games end favorably for them.

Ecuador was able to play in the previous world cup, but they will probably not be able to qualify for this one as they got a 3 points penalty from FIFA.


It seems pretty strange that they got away with only just 3 points deduction and being able to play in the previous world cup.

I mean, this shows that Ecuador indeed did the wrong thing, but apparently it was too late to make changes.

Real Madrid are in a difficult situation that I think it won't be possible for them to win the Champions league.  I don't think it will also be possible for Manchester City to win because Manchester city performance is not as good like it used to be before. The champions league competition is between Bayern Munich and PSG,  this two teams still remain consistent in their performance this season. This might be a chance for PSG since Manchester City and Real Madrid are not in their best form.

I agree with you on this Liverpool is not in good shape as they have suffered several defeats from the weaker teams lately but when it comes to their game in the Champions League, I think is going to be an interesting game because knowing that they are up against Real Madrid Aline will motivate them to put up a good performance and as we all know, Liverpool have a good experience in the game likewise  Madrid so we should expect a tough match between the two side as they both will not want to miss out in the next stage. Madrid is not the favourite in my opinion because them performance has not been solid like before but they can rise up to do the unthinkable since is going to be a big match for them.

France was lucky and avoided quality opponents in most of their matches. During the group stage, they were placed in one of the easiest groups along with Australia, Tunisia and Danmark. For the Round of 16, they got a weak opponent in the form of Poland. The only tough match for them before the final was the quarter-final clash, where they had to play against England. Even during the semi-final they got the weakest possible opponent (Morocco). IMO, Croatia and Portugal performed better than France during Qatar 2022. Probably Netherlands as well.

As for the fight between two factions, that is a serious problem which I hope they will be able to solve. It amazes me how a person like Mamic can influence things in the club even though he is not in the country anymore.

I think that now Germany must make a mix of its best players, the oldest and the youngest, perhaps the youngsters are not afraid of the veterans and that is an advantage, but they do not have experience and in a game you need to have experience to deal with certain things, even with arbitration, so if veterans join the team, and youngsters, the team will have a better integration, it will be more complete as I had said before, let's just look at what Spain did in the World Cup, it took only youngsters And they still got kicked out, veterans are always needed in a team so they can do things better.

Just the fact that Real and Liverpool lost, shows that these teams are not all right. And if for Real Madrid the last game with Barcelona was unsuccessful, and perhaps this is an isolated case, then for Liverpool this is a frequent occurrence, they alternate victories with defeats throughout the season and it is not clear what can be expected from them. Therefore, Real Madrid will be my favorite here, but most likely both teams will score goals in matches, because they have a good attack and not the best defense, especially Liverpool.
