1662  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Quick theft on: August 18, 2022, 02:31:24 PM
One of these days, somebody should make a database. With a few hundred gigabytes of memory. It should have all of the common brainwallet private keys and legacy addresses inside it.

Then, you make a "lite" version of Bitcoin Core with only methods for address check balance and make [RBF] transaction. So that Core loads faster.

Now, run a loop, checking each and every address for a balance, then you create a transaction that burns the ENTIRE balance in fees. Attackers won't be able to bump this transaction with their own, because nearly the entire balance has already been allocated to miners anyway.

Bitcoin - even the stolen coins contribute to the network security. (Denial-of-service for theives.)

You don't have to check the address balance, you could check the wallet balance...

Code:
./bitcoin-cli getinfo | grep balance

The idea is to be faster than the Theft, so, if we can skip the steps of building the transaction maybe we can spend the coins faster.

Code:
./bitcoin-cli sendtoaddress "1MyColdWallet..." $balance

I was thinking about the full bashscript, and would be something like this:

Code:
balance=$(./bitcoin-cli getinfo | grep balance | cut -d " " -f7 | sed 's/,//')-0.0001 | bc); ./bitcoin-cli sendtoaddress "1MyColdWallet..." $balance

And most of people would think to put this on a while, but i would use the yes command for this task

Code:
yes $(my script)

I see in your site the is zero transaction fees, how you do this? who pay for the fees because the blockchain doesn't allow zero transaction fees and if they allow the transaction will just take too long to confirm.

The fact that i have to pay for your service and buy a hardware wallet to use it doesn't like me at all... i mean i can install free plugins in woocommerce to do the same what you are offering.
1664  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 17, 2022, 09:02:31 PM
Yes, it’s very interesting where will freebitco.in get these 25% from? Can freebitco.in take from other players?

The 25% APY is on the FUN tokens, not in the users BTC. And to get this 25% you have to lock the tokens for 360 days.

Here the trick is that you are investing in a token, so, if the token price goes down 50% in one year, then you will have 25% more tokens but you will en up loosing BTC. At the same time the bitcoin price can go up in 1 year and that could give you profit even if you get less BTC than what you invested.
1665  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Biometrics as private key? on: August 17, 2022, 03:06:09 PM
One security concern that haven't mentioned yet is more government and workplace demand your biometric data. There could be serious damage damage if there's data breach or malicious insider.

You i right in this point, i forget that Govermnet, Banks and Tax Department already has our Biometrics. And that would compromise our private keys.

So, while more i read your answers i realize how bad was this idea, the concept is really cool, even cyberpunk, but is totally insecure.

Now we can use Biometrics to unlock a wallet, that's should be an easy task, we only need to activate the finger print to access for X user, then assign the wallet to that user (On linux). But that is totally different than use the finger to sign a transaction  Tongue
1666  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Biometrics as private key? on: August 16, 2022, 05:45:56 PM
Since some weeks ago i have been thinking about this topic, and couldn't find anything about it. So, lets start a discussion here.

What do you think about the idea of using biometrics as private key? A lot of laptops have a fingerprint reader, and it would be an interesting project to use it to sign transactions.

On the technical side i have some doubts because i don't think a finger reader will always return the same result. And this way is complex to make from our finger print a private key.

If some how we could always get the same result from the finger reader we could make from that result a brain wallet. That how it should work.

And the main problem is that we can lose the finger and in that scenario our cryptos will be gone.

So, what do you think about this idea?

1668  Economy / Securities / Re: [IBCO - OPEN] ⚽🎰 Casino Critique ⭐ Initial Bitcoin Chip Offering ❤️‍🔥 on: August 16, 2022, 02:40:45 AM
We are spending the fund only in outsourcing services.
he team members are working at least 6 months without receiving any incentive. Even if there are some revenue which we generate but until we ensure first page on the search engines it’s not much to feed the family of the team members. Everyone has their bills to pay.

So, the money is to pay for the developers and the team, but the investors will only get 10% of the revenue, that doesn't sound as a good deal to me. The investors are an important part of the team, and they should get a bigger piece of the cake.

I really wish you great luck with the project, but i don't like the business model, is not attractive for me as investor.
1669  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Casino Critique - needs sugesstion. PGP finger print and signed bitcoin address on: August 15, 2022, 08:50:14 PM
I don't get why you need the money for... I think OP should explain in both threads how they will spend it to become the best Casino Review site for 2027 because if people doesn't have clear how this will be done then it will be hard to get investors.

And you mention an income of $10k/month, but there isn't clear where the money will come from. Only ads or referrals too?

1671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mycelium Imported Private Key Backup on: August 15, 2022, 03:39:25 PM
I think the next thread will be a good reference for this topic.

If you got it from Accounts tab -> 3 vertical dots from upper right  -> tap Export account keys(Public key), then it should be the extended public keys of you mycelium which starts with
"xpub" which is "public" and contains 111 characters the same as mine. But it might be good if you don't share it to anyone even its pub.
It composes all the used address of your HD wallet, which you can view it here https://www.blockchain.com/btc/xpub/<your xpub>
Code:
xpub6CUGRUonZSQ4TWtTMmzXdrXDtypWKiKrhko4egpiMZbpiaQL2jkwSB1icqYh2cfDfVxdx4df189oLKnC5fSwqPfgyP3hooxujYzAu3fDVmz

You can see it som discussion in reddit[1]

[1] https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4nu0qr/what_is_an_xpub_address_and_how_is_it_different/

If you choose the Private one then its the one that starts "xprv" which explained above.

The problem with Mycelium is that you can get back up keys for the wallet, but looks like you can back up your private keys directly.

Even if op can't import the Address private key he should have a backup of the wallet keys if that address will stay active.
1672  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: Billete $1 en $95.000. Ups, aceptarías cripto? on: August 14, 2022, 11:04:43 PM

1673  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Find the WIF challenge on: August 12, 2022, 06:33:06 PM
Op is using this giveaway to make users install a trojan... I got this result from VirusTotal.

Let's hope no one fall in this trap!

And i would recommend to all users to verify each .exe before installing it, it's a good security practice that we all should follow.
1674  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Mailchimp suspende cuentas de (algunos) medio y empresas cripto on: August 12, 2022, 03:09:32 PM

https://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/
Quote
Prohibited Content
Cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies, and any digital assets related to an Initial Coin Offering

1676  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How Are Blockchain Project Funded These Days? on: August 12, 2022, 03:15:19 AM
DaveF is right. The projects are funded with real money.

Simple as go to your exchange, deposit some cash and buy the cryptos to run your business. As the old school users did it.

The fun part about the ICOs is they get money with an idea of a project, but most of their projects never see the light, the ICOs admin used to run with the money most of the times.
1677  Economy / Services / Re: I'll pay someone who will finally help me withdraw bitcoin. on: August 11, 2022, 05:26:00 PM

Ok after some minutes of conversation on Telegram with OP, i confirm that OP is a scammer trying to motivate you to create an account of a shady fake exchange. He doesn't use BTC official network ''for security reason'' and wants only to do a internal transfer on his fake exchange.

I cannot say that I am surprised...

Thanks for the warning... I can confirm this is an scam since the exchange site was create 3 days ago.

Its sad to see how people try to abuse with the war situation in Ukraine, there are people fighting every day risking their life and scammers just thinking how to abuse this situation. A big -1 to OP. Let's hope no one fall in this scam.

1679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some recent tweets by Elon Musk showing he is starting to warm up to Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2022, 03:27:31 PM
...
It was all in his calculations, admittedly he was a master at manipulation. In fact, he has never been interested in bitcoin or dogecoin, the only thing that matters to him is profit, just be profitable he is ready to tweet anything. The lawsuit with the social network Twitter, I guess is also in the plan, sooner or later you will own this social network, but it will be lower than the original valuation of 44 billion.

True, i think Elon is a master of Market manipulation, He prove that with Bitcoin and Dogecoin, the fact that he sold most of his BTC to capitalize Tesla is the prof. And he is in his right to do it. Buy and sell bitcoin isn't something illegal, but what is illegal is to use his influence for a market manipulation. He is playing with fire.
