1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wich ASIC did you choose to mine NOW? on: October 19, 2021, 09:31:19 AM

Well i have around 100 gpus and consider them to be,something a miner should have.

as to L7 it has a big upside and a big down side.

so taking a flyer on one is not that bad.

a few good sha units like the s19pro

seems okay.

thank you sir.

in my case, did you recommend me start with gpu and not with asic? spend 50.000€ on gpuīs?

thank you for your help

Do not buy ASICs for Ethereum mining, because Ethereum mining will end soon.

some people says ethereum always says the same. A promise that next ethereum be 99% less expensive in electricity. Did you think is true?

Buy ASICs for Bitcoin or Litecoin mining.

other people says the next levels of difficult for bitcoin makes usless the asics that i want to buy (S19j Pro)

what do you think about Goldshell KD5? this mines Kadena and now gives a lot of money.

What do you do in my case? I wish start with the project on october

Thanks a lot!  Smiley Smiley

iīm looking that since time and i donīt know what to choose. I think mine bitcoin can be worst decision. Maybe ethereum is the easiest way

and i canīt find any powerful whatsminer to buy. I visit the websites where is announced to sell but all is selled.

They have MicroBT Whatsminer M30S++ with 110T hashrate only this and the s19 pro from bitmain are miners with the highest hash rate?

What powerful miner exactly do you looking for?

Are you looking for ASIC miner that mines altcoin? Then this is not the right place to ask this you must go to altcoin mining section.

Thank you. I didn’t know exists one section for altcoins mine. I do a new post in this place

My idea is buy 6 miners of 100th/unit aprox. if i decide mine BTC. Problem is lot of people says mine BTC is useless now if you are not a professional business of mining. What do you think? I wish install one asic at my home and other 5 in my business

It should depend on the profitability, if you are going to invest in ASIC then it would be better to research first which miner will give you profit

Here are some tools that you can check

In terms of durability then check MicroBT whatsminer.

It's like asking someone what car to buy for 60k? when you ask the question as is, the answer will be of no benefit because nobody knows anything about your personal case, there are some factors that would determine the most suitable mining gear for every individual case, what is your power rate? how much capacity do you have? are you okay when used gears or not?

You need to list as many details as possible if you want an accurate answer.

energy cost: 0$

power reserved for asics:  15.000w in one place

used gears? i donīt understand that sorry

iīm confused because lot of people says the time for personal mining as ended, and itīs better buy altcoins or btc with this 60.000€, or other experts says: "The sad truth is that most newbies buy the wrong equipment for the wrong price at the worst possible time."

probably i have a bad future for  for health reasons, and i wish have a way to make money to make my life more easy. But itīs difficult make the correct decisions.

thank you

I agree with the above posts no doubt for Whatsminer it's more durable than the machines from Bitmain.

Since you are a newbie planning to start a mining farm I suggest you read this first "First time/Small miner reference for getting started."

And read this for the list of ASIC manufacturer and distributor "Current List of Competitive Hardware"

For a list of ASIC miner both BTC and altcoin ASIC you can check this http://asicminervalue.com/

If you are looking for mining pools check this https://miningpoolstats.stream/ just choose the BTC for the list of BTC pools.

thatīs fantastic. Thanks for this links

why have more profit an asic who works with 3GH/s than other that works at 110 TH/s? like antminer S19 Pro vs E9. Itīs for the ratio between cost of buy this asic and the profiability of work?

edit: ok i understand. Is not the same process hashes of ethereum than hashes of bitcoin i suppose....

I have my new air conditioning with 4.5Kw of power (i suppose this is enough to cold the ASICS),
Based on the following things, you may need a few fans to keep their temps down or within a normal range:

  • Size of your mining room matters.
  • Location of your mining rigs in relation to the air conditioner in question.
  • The manner in which your mining rigs are placed next to each other.

thanks sir.

i can use two rooms. I have one very little, maybe 2.5x5m and other one like a garage, with 35m2 aprox.

i suppose itīs important if the air conditioner was placer near from the ascics, really?

Instead of Antminers I would buy Whatsminers from MicroBT since they are more durable and last longer. There's a whole thread about it here but obviously you don't want to be paying too much for them vs an S17 for instance.

To increase profits while Bitcoin's difficulty is higher than normal I have seen some pools mine a couple different altcoins and then switch them off as BTC difficulty drops.

Since I'm assuming you're trying to make a consistent revenue with these miners, so-called "lottery mining" is out of the question and you need to look for a big-enough PPS pool that doesn't have frequent bugs in its server software that can disrupt your payments.

thatīs very interesting. I didnīt knew about Whatsminer. Iīm very interested in these asics and probably i buy few of those.

As you say, my idea es win the maximum money in altcoins/BTC

thanks for your help Cheesy Smiley Wink

edit:i see a video now about the internals between antminer and whatsminer and iīm very surprised about the low quality of antminer compared with whatsminer. First one have glued a lot of little aluminium heat exchangers and other one have one big aluminium block with his big screws on the electronic boards
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Newbie from spain. Can you help me? on: June 26, 2021, 07:36:44 AM
Hi folks. I enjoying reading a lot on this forum, but i wish have your opinion about my project and i need your help to do it correctly  Kiss

I have 40.000 or 60.000€ to spend on my mining "room". I have my new air conditioning with 4.5Kw of power (i suppose this is enough to cold the ASICS), and now i need to decide wich machines i need to buy to start mining. About electricity cost, i can use the residual production of electricity of our family business and thatīs free for me  Grin

What do yo do if you are in my place? i read a lot about the Antminers, and i read they are very difficult buy it from the builder. Wich pool can you recommend me? did you think is better only mine BTC with my future ASICS?

Thank you! your help are essential for me. I hope i can show my room when all are installed and working.
