Is there an ATI card that has decent "bang for your buck" that will fit in this Dell without having to upgrade the PS? I'm pretty sure that it has a 305W power supply in it now.

Thanks for the reply.

Dang! I was afraid of that! Now I've got to find a power supply that will not only accomodate that card, but will fit into this dell case.....

Any ideas?

Hello,

I'm looking at buying a new ATI card to put in my computer to mine 24/7. I've built dozens of computers but the "high end" (double stack?) video card area is new to me.

Here are the specs of my computer: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/op980/en/sm/MT/specs.htm

Here is the card I'm looking to buy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039YOMZI?ie=UTF8&seller=AOOH0DF4QWOOO&sn=SOLD%20LLC

Can someone help me figure out if this card will fit in my computer? Is there enough power, connectors, slots, and physical room? I have the "Mini tower" case which is the biggest case they offer.

Thanks for any help,

AKminer

I'd be curious to know too, but it seems like pools are the only way to go right now....

To clarify what the issue is I'm using the Mac miner front-end to Diablo found here:

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=8994.0

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Or should I dump the "front-end" and run diablo straight from the terminal? Do you think that will help?

thanks in advance,

Hello,

I've searched all over the web and everywhere here in this forum, but I can't find anything on this issue. Any ideas or help is appreciated.

DiabloMiner is running on a 2010 MacPro w/ a 5770 ATI Radeon, 3.2 Ghz quad core without issue. It runs at about 80 Mhash/s which is expected for OSX.

The problem is whenever I try to pause, quit, or force kill the terminal window in which DiabloMiner is running, it hangs the MacPro so that a hard restart is the only thing that will bring it back! Shocked

I've been mining for a few weeks without any issue unless I need my resources back, then I'm pretty well screwed......

Any ideas? The MP is up to date, I've got the most recent version of Diablo Miner.

thanks,
AKMiner
