It is a dynamic cloud platform built with the vision of replacing the Internet.
I see this project is very hot recently due to the value of ICP token airdropped to participants, and the project has been listed by the world's largest exchanges (Binance, Coinbase Pro, Okex, huobi Global) in the same day.
It used to be a good project, one with enormous potential. But Dfinity actually had no intention to deliver what was promised to the community thereby easily turning its listing into a rug pull. As the part of the community they've left behind, we've divorced ourselves from Dfinity while still believing in the value of ICP. We created a new community called ICP Reboot; a community-driven project founded by people who were once part of the Dfinity community from inception and they are now part of an amalgamation of volunteers working for ICPR. In comparison to Dfinity, ICPR will first be represented as an ERC-20 token in an open and honest format. ICPR will run on a truly democratic decentralized governance system in which members decide how to fork and improve upon this protocol while retaining flexibility on the direction of the network. Instead of what happened with ICP, where the Dfinity team controlled over 50% of token supply, ICPR intends to have a fair and fully decentralized distribution of its tokens. One of the core principles is to achieve justice by reallocating tokens that the foundation held and unlocking tokens that the actual owners were denied access to. Though nagawa nya makapasok agad sa top position, i don’t see any guarantee na magiging ok ang future nya kase maraming project na ren ang biglaan sumulpot sa itaas pero ngayon very stagnant na and medyo wala nang progress. Try to look for more updates with ICP and wait for more chart details, pag long term holding kase I usually look fundamentally and price trend.
Para sa akin masyadong pang maaga para masabing potential and stable coin and ICP, pero hindi natin pwedeng alisin ang posibilidad na ito nga ay potential in the future. Lalo na nitong mga araw na nakalipas na kung saan ay nag dip ang market pero ang ICP ay mabilis na naka recover. Kailangan pa natin ng information at knowledge tungkol sa ICP. I think i realised the one of the biggest benefits ICP has over all Blockchains...
The way ICP Blockchain is designed, it is the cheapest smart contracts platform of all.
Cost of 1GB of smart contract data...
Internet Computer:

This is huge, imagine a DEX being built on ICP...even 1000s of DEXs all running at the same time..
Anything that requires millions, billions, trillions of smart contract txs..will prob use ICP due to its smart contract cost design system.

I also really like this project, and honestly the current price is also a price that I don't think is too high, for me the project will have the ability to bring more things in the future, so the issue of price will be changed soon.
The price was too high when they got listed. The market cap at that time was >$50 billion. And this gave an impression that this coin was another overpriced and overhyped project from developers who just wanted to get rich. Now it will be very difficult to convince the users to invest in this project again. I don't understand the mentality from the promoters. I agree that the project represents a really good idea. But at this point, going for a valuation of $50 billion is a bit too much. I don't deny the issue, when it was listed it was easily exaggerated compared to the value it represented in the market. And what we're seeing with this coin is its massive drop since its own ATH, but it doesn't matter much I think if they do well then cap in what I believe they deserve it will only stop at <$20b I see ICP as more of the same case with any IEO coin that instantly got listed in some big exchange, it reaches some ridiculous fee and then tank. as I've seen ICP was really hyped so much that the price could reach as high as $800 and I was almost get fomo'd thinking it could hits $1000 trying to make an entry at around $500m though I stopped since the market at early stage of listing is really volatile and than proves me right, though the current price I think it's undervalued. Maybe I will also try to accumulate some but the thing I was most afraid was the same as you, the market cap grows so fast it's actually feels dangerous. Agree. ICP had enormous potential with all the promising tech innovations it aims to promote. Sadly, Dfinity didn't know how to value its potential and real utilization. And we really can't blame people for thinking ICP is a scam coin now when the leads and insiders from Dfinity tainted its name the same way. People hate ICP because its project leads, Dfinity, are thieves. They let greed & mismanagement take over. Its Coinbase listing was turned into a rug pull by the developers. I always thought that when a project delays its implementation for many years, it often leads to nothing good, but we see the opposite, the team worked hard for a long time, and in the end we see what a successful project it turned out to be.
That totally depends on the how reliable the team and development progress that has been made. ICP is not the first case but i can tell you some coins that were doing the same thing like ICP. if you know about file coin and this coin needs a few years to be launched in the market and it was giving very good result to the all of ico buyers. Great analysis. All that promising progress only to be turned into a rug pull by developers themselves. We should have looked into it more and trusted less into Dominic. I looked at the statistics of this coin, the moment it appeared, it lost in price from the value of 450 dollars to 60. I have not yet had time to get acquainted with the white paper of the project. Internet Computer: A Decentralized Future or another Crypto Rug pull?
The practices of Dfinity Foundation and its attitude towards its supporters are clearly not that of the standards set by legitimate crypto projects.
Dfinity never cared about its own community and investors.
Their actions resonate more with the exploitation committed by Onecoin, Sushiswap, Turtledex, and others, where the founding team performed a rug-pulled on the project for their profit.
At the same time, the supporters were left hanging out to dry. Even these big scammers turned out to be little but petty thieves when compared to what Dfinity has cost their believers.
Only if Dfinity had applied the same vesting period on themselves and their affiliates vesting the majority of tokens, the massive drop in ICP’s price wouldn’t have happened.
The way Dfinity is developing the Internet Computer is not to eliminate the centralization of the internet, as they claim to achieve but is merely a stunt to crown themselves as the new rulers of the internet.
Actions like these are the reason behind the demand for regulations in the DeFi space.
People are getting more skeptical about investing in DeFi projects due to the fear of rug-pulling by people like Dominic Williams and the big VCs who are just in it to make money off people who believe in the future of decentralization. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What can we do?Come make history and join the movement, entities need to be held accountable for their actions.

thanks for this info. that's why ICP token price is so much high. but right now its falling because of the whole market is falling apart and even eth and bitcoin is in blood bath.
i am very positive about ICP token and its developments and hope that in future it will be a success but there are huge competitors.
ICP overpriced its initial offering. A few weeks ago, the market cap was as high as $75 billion, before the prices crashed in a matter of hours. This may be a good project, but I don't understand going for such a high valuation. The Ethereum ICO had an initial soft-cap of just $18 million. And these guys are going for almost 4,000 times of that amount. And for ICP, I don't think that the prices have bottomed out yet. The cryptocurrency market as a whole is looking bearish and for overpriced coins such as ICP, the future outlook is quite bleak. Put mismanagement on top of it! Who is ICP Reboot?ICP Reboot is a community-driven project to right the wrongs committed by dfinity's leadership. After experiencing significant deception, immense frustration, and a lack of communication from dfinity, we are launching things the right way: ICP Reboot. ICP Reboot is announcing the official release of a new token (ICPR) that is initially issued on the Ethereum blockchain with the intention to transition to a new network when the main-net is ready. ICPR will be first represented as a standard and audited ERC20 token, with EIP2612 permit (EIP712 signed approvals) functionality to ease the integration of the token with the rest of the protocol and the ecosystem. This token release has been brought to fruition with goals in mind to bring justice to the mistreated ICP community through a fair distribution and reallocation of tokens that had been unfairly vested by the dfinity foundation. Coin Specs- There will be 470 million ERC20 tokens minted and governed by the ICP Reboot DAO

We in the ICP Reboot community are well aware of the mishandling and mismanagement of early contributors and seed investors who have put their trust in the toolset offered by dfinity.org, thus lost access to their original key material and backups. We are committed to set a compliant and transparent process of analyzing such cases and reallocate contributor allocations via the DAO. Additionally, according to their original ICP allocations, ICPR tokens will initially be distributed to dfinity early contributors and seed investors who have been unfairly denied their tokens by the foundation. The distribution will allow contributors to claim their fully vested allocations without any additional locking or vesting schedule. How the token works During the first phases, the ICPR token might be subjected to a DAO governed and audited inflation to support any additional community claimed incentive programs to support early adopters of the network (such as staking, liquidity provision, etc.). Initially, the DAO will govern this capability, but eventually, it will be renounced and delegated to the staking incentives smart contract.
