There's definitely more privacy with BTC than there'll be with CBDCs.
LOL what? Bitcoin have public ledger. Anyone. Totally anyone can look at all your trades. Not a police or judge or but every single criminal in the world. CBDCs will have opaque ledger and only central authority will be able to check transaction. Those that those authorities will sell your info and those that will hack them and steal this info. Address that you have in your profile shows 72 transactions. I saw this just by using blockchain explorer. No fancy chainanalysis tool that are being build right now to serve everyone. Blochain analysis will soon be multi billion industry that will employ brightest minds in crypto.

It's showing on their site Exodus Movement Inc Public Offering raised ~98% of the $75 million they're looking to receive but it doesn't show what they're intending to do with the cash.
To pay for cocktails on the beach, hookers and cocaine. What else you had in mind? There is no need to write a rodmap since everyone should already know all about it. Oh an BTW, I believe Exodus wallet is not opensource so should not be used when you have alternatives.

Citizenīs consultation yield concerns about:
- Privacy - 43% of people are worried about this!! - Usefulness and safety - Integration in the current systems - Efficient and cost-less
When central bank coins will be out the main FUD central banks will have toward Bitcoin will be lack of privacy. People will get very sceptical of using Bitcoin and give their information's for everyone to see compared to have same privacy as they have right now with central bank coins.

Will L2 scaling solutions always be needed, even after eth 2.0 is complete and staking is fully active?
Better question should be when will ETH 2.0 complete and staking is fully active. When? If it happened next week then no L2 scaling solutions are even needed. If it is happening next year then, lets wait and see. If it is happening in 10 years or never then, ....

replace? I do not think so. Bitcoin will only become an alternative alternative payment, which is interested in many people. We know that every country in this world is sovereign and can manage its economy including regulating the use of currencies. It is economic sovereignty, while Bitcoin cannot be fully controlled, that's why I say Bitcoin will only be alternative.
It is enough if it become world reserve currency. It does not need to replace national currencies. Just a currency in which all international trade is made and which central banks store in their treasuries.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do the same scenario in 2018 ?
|
on: April 28, 2021, 03:39:46 PM

Yes, After bull market bear market will start. There is zero chances for that not to happen.
the important matter is timing. we cannot have 2018 like bear market without a 2017 like bull market. right now we are still in 2016 like bull market and price has to go up a lot more than this and probably even reach half a million before it can burst and drop. Right now we are in June 2017. 2016 is far behind us. In 2016 price had not reached 2013 ATH price. Right now we are x3 of 2017 ATH. There is not much time until this cycle ATH but a lot % to increase. Last month gets crazy.

Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla still an unprofitable automaker
|
on: April 27, 2021, 07:35:14 PM
|
Despite Tesla's first quarter earnings, Tesla is still an unprofitable automobile manufacturer. Digging into the numbers, Tesla reported a $438M GAAP net income, but they had $518M in regulatory credit sales and more than $100M in profit related to bitcoin sales (they sold a total of $272M worth of bitcoin in Q1), which means the primary business of manufacturing cars is still not profitable. Perhaps as they continue to scale this will change, but the valuation still looks insane at these levels, and electric vehicle competition is only going to get stiffer going forward.
That is how fast growing companies work nowadays. They spend way more then they produce. Lending money is super cheap. Tesla will just keep making loss. Every year. That is economy and society we build. Maybe we will change that in the future. Maybe Bitcoin will help us achieve that. So people and companies will first produce to spend and not lend to spend.

Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins?
|
on: April 27, 2021, 05:45:25 PM
|
After visiting there, all of you can see that how institutional investors are 'blindly' collecting bitcoins and adding more and more btc to their treasuries. I am too much curious and confused to understand how they will manage to sell all of their btc if some day a big dump arrives, or if their investors start to take out their investments and ask them to sell the btc and pay them. For an institution to pull out their btc from their wallets and sell, there needs to be an institution or a very big whale on the other hand to buy all that and they will also need that much big liquidity for the same.
They will sell to whoever will want to buy at the price they will agree upon. It is totally same as if we trade. And the same as country treasuries will trade in decades to come. Price can never be negative as was the case with Oil last year. There is always a bottom price for Bitcoin. I really dont understand your concern.

i am wondering if Bitcoin will fall again like it happened in 2018 after the Bull run ! i know that some news affect the market, but should we sell now in this panic ! or should we hold Yes, After bull market bear market will start. There is zero chances for that not to happen. No you should not sold now since we are in middle of a bull market and price will grow much higher. Most people expect it between $100-300k

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now Mark Cuban? C'mon Doge!
|
on: April 27, 2021, 03:58:12 PM

Dogecoin had been in the spotlight this past few weeks because of Elon Musk. Now, one more billionaire tweets about it. Mark Cuban. A major stakeholder of Dallas Mavericks. Expect another pump to happen in the next few days. https://twitter.com/mcuban/status/1386775439763337216?s=20Mark Cuban Because Doge is the one coin that people actually use for transactions. We take many others via @BitPay . But people spend their Doge and that means more businesses will start taking it. The greatest inhibitor to it's growth is that you can't spend the Doge you buy on Robinhood
https://twitter.com/mcuban/status/1386817829438038024?s=20Mark Cuban Tomorrow I'm on @TheEllenShow , talking about ....you guessed it #dogecoin ! https://twitter.com/mcuban/status/1386766964614328321?s=20Mark Cuban Just talked to my friends at @BitPay , they do the Mavs Doge sales. Not only do the Mavs sales continue to grow, but @Bitpay says they are on track to do 6k Doge transactions in April ! I am a follower because I am a Mavs fan. Updates about the team could be easily leaked thru him. It is still better that doge is getting shilled on Elen than XRP and as happening in the past. It all seems like crypto is evolving in general public. Step by step until fine goal of everyone using fungible crypto currency.

I am a bit surprised though that Monero isn't worth even more.
A lot of people talk about privacy. In crypto and in general and they do everything they could to not mention Monero. There are even conferences disusing privacy in cryptocurrencies organised where Monero is not mentioned. It s very funny. But maybe this is actually good. If everyone would talk about Monero now and would be worth $100k a coin then would have much more attackers. Ignoring Monero just buys time fro more development and for economy to mature.

Monero can be tracked, ...
Monero cant be tracked. A week ago I made a transaction. Can you trace it please. Tell me what I bought and how much I paid and who I traded with. Thank you. Oh can you also tell me how much coins I have left in my wallet and how much coins have guy I sent coins to. I love to spy on people Thx again buddy. The moment Monero coins leave your wallet no one knows where they went. And not only that. No one even know what is in your wallet right now. Are coins still there or they were sent out.

What's funny is if. LA Clippers vs LA Lakers will meet in the WCF and Brooklyn Nets vs NY Knicks will meet in the ECF. I believe there is much higher chance Lakers and Clippers will met in the first round. They can be 3rd and 6th or 4th and 5th. Only 3 weeks left. Utah is the only team already in playoffs. Huston and Minnesota only teams out of of any chances. Next week will be crucial!

Copy and paste, do you mean about fractals? There are fractals and they are activated after all preparations for TAs are finished, on time, and whales accumulations are done.
Just copy and paste. All 3 cycles are almost a copy paste. They are ridiculously alike. Like Bitcon would not be a money but some art or I dont know what. Maybe reason is that people follow last cycle and they have so much wealth so they make a trend. LOL, only reasonable explanation. And I hope you can get liquidated. So it will look a bit more real. So far it looked like you cant be. You sold BTC at end of 2017 and bought at beginning of 2019. Same you could do a cycle before. Sold at end of 2013 and bought at beginning of 2015. If this "art" continue, what I so surrealistic believe it will you could sell at end of this year and buy back at beginning of 2023. It is just copy paste. Hopefully it will be different this time.

When you read posts on the first page from 2017 you notice one trend. Some coins mention there are gone others still exist. No marketing and advertising can help you if the project goal is only to make profit for developers. Open source developers will join and develop further only if project had fair launch.

It is sort of ridiculous how similar are different Bitcoin cycles. Like someone would manipulatively copy pasted them. We are half year from the crash. If that happens then it will be another confirmation of this ridiculous copy/paste theory.

Will Monero still be private when you buy it from the exchange and then withdrawing it to your personal wallet?
Think of it. If transactions cant be linked like in transparent ledger cryptocurrenies then yes. If you can buy Bitcoin anonymously and spend it anonymously then you dont really need Monero. But world situation is that more and more exchanges demand KYC. And situation in RL is that you cant buy many things anonymously. You cant go to bar and order coffee and waiter cant see you when serve you coffee. It is impossible. Monero solves this. The moment you make a transaction trail is lost.

I live in Brazil and even after the vaccine reaches hospitals, ...
12% received one dose in Brazil. That is way to low to have any impact. Many more already had covid. So immunity have bigger impact. Without vaccines and immunity situation would be much worse. I know things are bad right now, but at least there is hope. I dont see Brazil can be hit with 4th wave. So this is last one. It just need to be fought and win the battle.
