1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reasons why I like bear market on: October 14, 2021, 06:21:05 AM
Bear market is necessary for the market to reset itself. It can only be beneficial if you have a plan to increase your portfolio during the season. Unfortunately, the bear season will come and go and some people will still not take advantage of it.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How ethnicity and religion has lead to backwardness of most African on: October 04, 2021, 11:40:40 AM
I don't think atheism can solve this, it's not like you can force those people to leave their religion.
[/quote]

You are right mostly, especially in the aspect of ethnicity. However, when it comes to religion, it is not about one becoming an atheist. The issue is that religion is being used to manipulate the people into moronic obedience and alliance. The relevance that religion is supposed to have in the life of their followers is being taken advantage of to control them.

I think that various exchanges have their strengths and weaknesses, but the one I rate highest based on personal UX is Binance
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Library ? Or Internet ? on: October 02, 2021, 09:22:34 PM
The library and the internet are both very essential for the dissemination of information to the public. However, they both have their strengths and their weaknesses. In terms of speed and convenience, the internet is better. But the downside of the internet is that there is so much fake information being peddled by self-acclaimed "experts". For a library, the information gotten there are more reliable and the quoting authorities are more recognized.

Since it is often the homeless who hang out at the library, this might be how the recognized authorities get their recognition.

Cool

Is this myopia or what?  Roll Eyes

6  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your constructive hobby? on: October 01, 2021, 09:13:44 AM
My hobby is writing: whenever I am bored or stressed and not in the mood to read novels, I pick up my pen and paper and write poems.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Message to my fellow Newbie on: October 01, 2021, 09:03:21 AM
Hey my fellow Newbie, I know it's not easy building our account, after reading the terms and conditions of this forum, I have decided to avoid spamming, I pledge to give content to this great forum, I see Newbie talking about merit when they haven't contributed anything yet to the forum, I'll encourage all my fellow Newbie let's try and contribute greatly to this forum, when the merit comes it will come.

The best way to grow in every aspect of life is through knowledge. In like manner, growth in BTT is not different. Develop a habit of reading wide, grow your knowledge, and then come back and try to impact that same knowledge on others. Do not concern yourself with getting merits or not, that is not within your control. When you make it a habit to read and learn, with time your knowledge will start manifesting and the reward will surely follow.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin was hacked, NOOO !!! You are need read this. on: September 29, 2021, 05:39:03 AM
I think that more enlightenment is still needed concerning bitcoin to the general public, especially media organizations. Being a tool of information dissemination, people that are less informed about the level of technology behind btc believe that these journalists and media organizations are experts on cryptocurrency. Unfortunately, almost all of them know nothing about btc and crypto in general, thereby they continue to spread misinformation to their audience.

New members let's try not to learn from our mistake because if we do ,it maybe too late to correct it .
Shouldn't this be "learn from our mistakes" instead of "try not to learn from mistakes"?

I think what he is explaining is that one should not wait to make a mistake first before learning their lesson. It is better to learn from other's mistakes.

10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware: Another type of hacker's trap on: August 30, 2021, 10:52:27 AM
I think the safest way to keep your system protected from hackers is to avoid opening links you are not sure of. And do not depend on your anti-virus, some viruses are more sophisticated than these anti-viruses.
11  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can someone with data crunching skills help me out with account linkage? on: August 23, 2021, 09:11:55 PM
Thanks, The Pharmacist. Since August 19, I began to conduct an investigation regarding this cheater. All these accounts went through my topic:

Kontibruno -    Date Registered: July 10, 2021, 09:33:08 AM

All of these accounts applied for help in obtaining rank and almost all of them violated the rule of this topic:

Attention:
- Do not try to apply using your alts.

Also, I have not yet had time to compile a merit overflow table. Please note that these accounts very often threw merits to each other in order to quickly get the next rank. There is an obvious MERIT ABUSE.

I am truly shocked to find my name listed as one of the accounts that are being used as an Alt act. Apart from being a new person here, I am new in the crypto business as a whole. I just started my crypto journey in May of this year and I joined this forum in July. I do not know a single soul among the people listed in this thread neither do I know the origin of any of the accounts.

I am open to answer any questions or provide any information you may need to aid your investigation.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yoghurt on: August 18, 2021, 07:59:17 PM
Reading this reminded me of the first time I took yogurt. I was about 9 years old then and my mom wanted to buy ice cream for us. I saw a well-dressed young man taking and I decided that was what I was going to take.

When I requested for it, my mom asked me if I was sure if that was what I wanted because my favorite raspberry flavor ice cream was available, but I insisted on yogurt. When I received my yogurt and took the first bite, I wanted to throw up thinking that the ice cream had soured Smiley.

I couldn't say anything because I had been forwarned. I didn't want to add beating to my disappointment  Grin.
I ended up throwing the yogurt away while stifling a cry.

It's been a sad experience. I hope you were not affected by this experience and resent to eating yogurt.

Yeah, it was a bad experience, but I had to man up because I saw other children enjoying it. But it later became my favorite

Thanks for these sites that can help guide a novice crypto investor like me. This type of information is exactly why I joined BTT.
14  Other / Archival / Re: Another Motivation for Novice Crypto Investors on: August 16, 2021, 08:11:33 AM
The past 10 days comparison also is like gold -10% and bitcoin giving annual returns of more than 300% to the holders. What is people can't hold bitcoin if they can hold gold in lockers for all these years?

This is the beauty of this forum, we keep expanding our knowledge daily. Reading the analysis in the main post and your comment here, I have come to realize how shallow my argument was when I wrote an article about saving your money in gold for the long run. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351631.msg57567467#msg57567467
And most people that saw the weakness of my argument pointed it out straight away.

Bitcoin has proved over and over again that it is the best long-term investment plan one can have. Even with the various major dips it has suffered at different points in time, it still gives the best ROI. This is the best data to give to anybody that is asking if BTC is a good long-term investment plan.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to identify some scam websites. on: August 13, 2021, 09:31:02 PM
Part of the problem is that some people join the crypto business with the mindset that they are going to make it big easily within a short period. So when they see some of these came tactics, they fail to see it for what it is and fall for it because of their impatience.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I wish I knew before starting my crypto journey on: August 13, 2021, 04:45:56 PM
I guess that's the importance of belonging to a forum like this. In as much as it is good to make some mistakes and then get smarter with the lessons learned, that must not always be the case. When others talk about their mistakes, we should also learn from them.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merits: Why some people grow fast on the forum (CHECK OUT) on: August 12, 2021, 11:21:52 PM
This post is a bit misleading. For one, you got the facts of some of those members wrong. Secondly, singling out a few people (no disrespect to them and their contributions) to commend them for their contribution seems to be spite in the face of numerous other members who have been sweating to add quality and relevance to the growth of this forum.

It would have been better if you had referred to people that have influenced you personally. That would be a subjective opinion and no one (including this writer) would counter it.

This sounds more like praise-singing and chasing merit to me.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Fastest Way To End The Virus Pandemic Is Using The North Korea Strategy on: August 11, 2021, 04:44:54 PM

I do not believe the reported numbers of *ANY* country. They are all fictional, because the PCR test itself is fictional.

I will not comment on the accuracy or otherwise of the reported figures of various countries. But saying that covid is not real is going too far. I have had personal encounters with a friend and two relations that have suffered from it. There is no conspiracy on that.

You did the best thing you can do for yourself by taking charge of your financial life. As long as one is not financially free, the person will always remain in one form of captivity or another. And as long as you continue doing your researches on cryptocurrencies and reading various threads on this forum, you will soon become an expert crypto investor.

Good luck on your crypto journey
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some silly Bitcoin trading mistakes people make occasionally on: August 10, 2021, 06:56:23 PM
buying a coin when the price goes dip and then HODL these coins waiting until the market price rises.
To be clear it only works for bitcoin not just any coin.

Well not all coins, but then it is not only bitcoin. There are some other coins that have enough trading volume to appreciate with time.
