1  Economy / Reputation / Back and Better on Bitcointalk on: February 16, 2024, 07:09:11 AM
I count it a great privilege to be welcomed back again to the forum, it's been really some years ago now and I've for every seconds appreciated the admin (Cyrus) for bringing this opportunity out to serve as a second chance, I want to say that it's also an avenue for me to sit tight and prove right the good works I've got to offer and contribute to the community.

My Lessons While Away

I've got to see that life is in phases and the more we go the better we see things in their reality, sometimes we try to give even what we don't have, we tend to force it out at all wish but it all seems a failed attempt until we break up the limit to what we can't afford to bear or face the consequences, an express way in life is allowed, but not when a novice driver is over speeding the road, he may landed into a big trouble with accident which I think is one of the reasons that caused by being banned for paraphrasing as a newbie then, though rank or position is never an excuse for breaking the law, that is way we must read and learn them.

My Advice For Newbies and other Members

We are to make use of every opportunity we have wisely, there's an expectation on us when we come to the forum to first go through the guidelines we have here, there are pinned threads, posting styles and guides including the rules and regulations that guides every members of this forum, start by learning something meaningful by yourself and from what others are contributing and from there you begin to experience the evidence of growth before giving out your own.

My Appreciation

I want to use this medium in thanking Cyrus for giving me the approval for a second chance on the forum, honestly I never thought it could be possible neither do I have an expectation on that, but it came in as a surprise anyway, and will never take that for granted, also to all other members of the community, am glad in joining you altogether towards giving the best, thank you all.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin not a seek and hide for fraudulency on: October 31, 2021, 12:44:54 PM
One of the major role of the Anti Monetary Laundry (AML) agency under government Financial Regulatory System is to apprehend any form of loot or suspected individual or organization for money laundry, fund mismanagement and embazzlement, I understand the traditional fiat banking system has different account opening categories, example: we have children account, student account, business account and government account each in their respective tiers.

If any sudden transaction occur beyond the account category and is suspected then the bank raise an alert to the agencies in control of monetary system leading to an investigation and prob of the account holder and if found unable to defend with cognate reasons and proofs that the transaction is not fraudulent then the account holder will be apprehended and charged to face the law.

When i come across this thread Someone Just Moved $2,071,215,368 Worth of Bitcoin in a Single Transaction I asked myself, is Cryptocurrency going to be an abode for scammer and financial looters who has gone outrageous against the law and find crypto as a "home of no query" as to where a huge amount of Bitcoin stated above could just landed in without a background check (investigation) of the person involved with such huge amount source.

i made a post recently on how the British Police seize $2.7 million worth of bitcoin from a teenager after running scam on a fake website, this is exactly my  focal point, this couldn't have accumulated such huge amount if it were to be the fiat bank he uses to save the fund.

I also understand this is one of the reasons why some countries are yet to adopt bitcoin because their believe in that crypto is a fraudulent game and those engaged in it are solely scamming unscrupulous individuals.

My Questions
1. Is there a limit to certain amount of bitcoin per transaction each type of wallet can accommodate?

2. How can the menace of scammers, fund looters and embazzler using Cryptocurrency as a covering to hide and safeguard their looted currency end, knowing fully that going to the banks they will be apprehended?

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first Crypto Meeting on: October 29, 2021, 01:44:16 PM

Yesterday, I attended a crypto seminar in my city.  I knew I had to be there to increase my knowledge about cryptocurrency. There were popular crypto traders present as speakers, there was an interactive section where we were given the opportunity to ask questions. Afterwards we had dinner with the speakers. I got the opportunity to have a close look on what it means to be a crypto trader or investor. I won $200 for being the most interactive person in the room. These are some of the points I went home with
1.Identify with a community: I am glad I have bitcointalk forum.  I would not know this things I do now without the forum. We live in an age of Google, YouTube videos and tiktok where everyone is a professional. I guarantee you the quality of information dispensed here on a daily is incredible. When you come to a community such as this. You don’t have to ask stupid questions the first thing is to carefully read through the threads. Understand the subject being discussed before asking questions. Every community has its rules, try and be conversant with those rules so you don’t get kicked out. I'm happy to be here I would not have made that $200 if I wasn't a member of this community.
2. Learning before earning: This is one point that stuck. Making money has always been the goal. It is very convenient to forget that there is a process to achieving  that goal. You have to be aware of activities happening in the crypto industry.
3. Mentorship is important: There is a old saying where I am from "if you have a father you will fly farther" that means you will fly on their wings. Mentorship is essential for you to learn crypto trading. A mentor gives you experience. I know we are in a digital era where you can learn trading courses online and read books about cryptocurrency. That alone cannot gauarantee success. Mentorship is the shortest cut to success you need to differentiate the hype from the value. You have to aware of activities in the crypto space. Know the real from the fake. This is something you learn from experience. You must learn to differentiate the value from the hype. There are lots of so called successful traders online and offline. You will be shocked to find they have nothing to offer.
4. Consistency:There are days crypto will slap you in the face. The First three letters of crypto are “CRY”...that was meant to be funny  Grin There is so much in the crypto industry defi, Nft, blockchain technology, investments, blogging. You have to choose an area to focus on and be the best in that field. Consistency is very important you can’t be a crypto investor by day and pessimist by night. Believe in yourself and what you do

This is impressive and encouraging for your bold step taken in seeking more knowledge acquisition in Cryptocurrency, i will also advise you to hold on to it and also impact on others who are below you, you've soughted out for the best asset which could help your crypto career and am wishing you all the best and Congratulations on your winning of $200 its really a sign of good beggining and your presence was felt.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: E-Naira: CBN to launches Nigeria’s digital currency on: October 26, 2021, 07:19:24 PM
On the occasion of the launch of E-Naira by the President of Nigeria (Mohammadu Buhari), vice president (Yemi Osinbajo), CBN Governor, (Godwin Emefiele) and one other Government official.

Nigeria is said to be the first country in Africa to launch CBDC and the sixth in the world, it was stated that E-Naira is meant to complement the physical (fiat) currency and not to replace it. E-Naira speed wallet and E-Naira merchant wallet are the two official applications available for download for the use, while #500 millions were minted and made available for the E-Naira. It could also be recalled that E-Naira was initially slated to be launched on October 1st but due to the Independence day clusters of activities it was postponed not untill the 25th of October, 2021

Guyz make una compare am now, me i no see any advantage dis their coin bring 4 us o at all, wen i bin dey compare am wit wetin dey wey e go offer na no difference o

*What is eNaira?* 🤔

eNaira is a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria as a legal tender. It is the digital form of the physical Naira and can be used the same way as cash.

What's the difference between eNaira and the funds in one's account?

eNaira is a digital currency and is a direct liability on the Central Bank of Nigeria while the money in your bank account is Naira held as deposit liabilities by the financial institution.

What are the benefits?

eNaira is a fast, affordable, secure, and reliable payment option designed to support the digital economy and aid financial inclusion in Nigeria. eNaira will, among other benefits, enhance the Nigerian payment ecosystem, increase revenue and tax collection, aid targeted social interventions, and improve diaspora remittances. Users can make contactless payments with eNaira by scanning a QR code.

Will eNaira Replace Cash?

No. eNaira will circulate alongside cash as a more efficient, safe, and cost-saving payment option.

How do I fund my wallet?

Funding of your eNaira wallet can be done through your regular bank app from your bank account and via cash through an eNaira verification agent, over the counter at designated bank branch or a SANEF agent. (SANEF means Shared Agent Network Expansion Facilities)

Does the eNaira Yield any Interest?

No. The eNaira has no interest component

Is your eNaira wallet safe and easily accessible?

Yes. eNaira is safe and secured with advanced cryptographic techniques against counterfeiting, cloning and other forms of breaches. The eNaira wallet operates an open system that is accessible to all users based on a tiered KYC structure.

Is data well protected?

Yes. Data protection and privacy remains fundamental to the core design of the eNaira system and users will be able to determine how their data is used, shared and processed.

Abeg someone like me wey dey busy wit crypto no fit dey wahala mysef ontop deir mata, afterall wetin i get for keeping my moni on E-Naira wallet, who dem help?.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice: 1 BTC on: October 25, 2021, 11:44:50 AM
For someone to have upto 1btc is a great opportunity and maximization of this will yield a great reward, first i will employ the person to invest the 1btc else there's an alternative means of income, trade and hodl the btc, or possibly exchange half of it to altcoins and maintain the rest in btc.

The second advise aside the virtual one is to embark on a real physical business in the likes of real estate and project management it worth doing as a long term investment.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: October 25, 2021, 11:31:53 AM
Varieties of links to beginners guide on how to learn and educate newbies on crypto has been provided by members but i will also suggest a personal tutoring provided the newbie is on a closer proximity to you, this will enhance a practical hands on while teaching will be made effective provided one can create time despite busy schedules to impact knowledge on newbie with the curiosity to learn crypto. Also, one can make use of downloaded online crypto materials for beginners, use of demo account and many more crypto teaching aid materials.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: October 25, 2021, 11:15:16 AM
The interesting part is not what you pay in but the exchange service used for the permanent, considering the rate of transaction charges, you can exchange any coin using different exchanges but the transaction charges is the maajor determinant, as for me i used binance to perform my transactions in bitcoin, all other coins i exchanged to bitcoin which is my desirability.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Balancing Cryptocurrency with Government Regulations on: October 24, 2021, 04:10:34 PM
As the rate of Cryptocurrency adoption increases daily the more effective awareness and campaign were raised to educate people on digital currency (crypto), this has bring about the expression of interest and caution projected by the prime minister of Thailand, he said and i quote:"Many crypto investment platforms in Thailand operate illegally, and the Prime Minister has warned the public to be watchful when using these platforms, as legal recourse is not possible, should something go wrong. These platforms often use advertising hype to attract traders.

While the Prime Minister is glad that people are investing, he would like citizens to consider that they could lose all their investments and must consider investments carefully, especially when opening trading accounts for children". The fact that he show interest in people Investing clear the air of unnecessary doubt regarding it operations and just as the fiat banks can open an account for underage same they fully understand that crypto investment shouldn't be left alone with the tender age (children) alone and any investment must be thoroughly investigated before engagement.

Base on my observations regarding challenges some countries had with crypto firms due to it lack of being regulated, though its true anyone from nowhere can come up with crypto trading investment and later turn a scam but how can we balance the challenges encountered by genuine investments, exchanges, custodians and mining firms to fully operate without the encounter of regulation requirement by their respective governments?

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Effect of currency burning on Bitcoin price on: October 22, 2021, 04:01:31 PM
Digital Currency burning is believed to be a permanent  removal of a particular coin or token from circulation in a bid to avoid inflation. otherwise,Coin burning is a process where cryptocurrency miners and developers remove a specific portion of coins from circulation to control their price. It is a common industry practice to incentivize long-term holding among users, by managing the price through restricting supply, i have a pool of questions regarding this for the benefit of leaning and educating crypto beginners on the forum.

1. Ever since Bitcoin Inception and launched in 2009 till date, has it ever experience any form of burning?

2. Considering the bearish and bullish run of bitcoin price, does currency burning has any effect on determining bitcoin price?

3. With the use of "eater address" how effective can it be in identifying currency sent to a wrong wallet  address.

4. How can digital currency burn be carried out on a particular wallet address of a deceased person effectively without compromise.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After a few months of China crackdown on mining. Check it out! on: October 22, 2021, 02:39:37 PM
As how I've given it a closer look on China's way of control system, they totally go against any innovations or inventions not initiated by them, 99.9% of their economy produce and services offered from generated within their circle, infact dey have their own Google and other ip address does not work in china, never forgetting learning Chinese is also a prerequisite for anyone there.

China has its own digital Yuan and it will be difficult for them to allow any form of currency other than thier own to outrun theirs, and they have even given a verdict to eradicate all mining rigs before December end this year. They want no elements of trace to all crypto activities.
