101  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is/was the No.1 Scammer on Bitcointalk? on: June 16, 2015, 10:27:35 AM
I am new to this forum and I can see that 20% of the users have red trust. But there ought to be a biggest scammer till now!
So who is it according to you?
Form me it's moriartybitcoin.

You're new? You're a Full Member. Did you buy this account or something. How much did moriaty scam? I think the biggest scammer should be the user who scammed the most coins beyond reasonable doubt but not sure how many he took.

The biggest scammer that I can remember is Mark Karpeles who makes moriartybitcoin look like a tiny little fish. 180btc moriaty got? Mark got 480million if I remember rightly Smiley

Proof? Could have been anyone at his company.
102  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Soccer Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: June 14, 2015, 12:16:26 PM
Slovenia 1-6 England

Not sure why people are predicting Slovenia to beat England, Slovenia are crap.

Slovenia 0-4 England

Well a lot of people don't have a choice once the decent scores get picked, but England aren't exactly a great team either. I doubt England will score more than a few goals but you never know.
103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stop forcing chemotherapy on patients when there are better treatment on: June 14, 2015, 08:50:19 AM
Chemo isn't forced on anyone as you can always refuse it. I've yet to see any real alternatives but am open to them but not without any verifiable and testable evidence. You often here conspiracy nuts harping on about how cannabis can cure cancer as well (anyone remember dank) but I've yet to see any real evidence of that either (though I think there should be many studies on it as it obviously does have some medicinal benefits but I'm not sure curing cancer is one).
104  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Crypto-Joker Game Version 2 ***Pays 60% of the Total Daily Entries Amount*** on: June 14, 2015, 06:26:57 AM
If you pay 60% that mean the house edge is 40%... this is a game where you always win.

Is there some fairness in this game? how you chose the winner user?

Yeah, this game doesn't seem fair at all to me. How can we check the way the winners are drawn is fair and uncheatable?

What I liked most on you site is gorgeous joker by herself.

That's Harley Quinn from Batman https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley_Quinn

Margot Robbie will be playing her in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.
105  Other / Off-topic / Re: Daily thread for Stoners: Weed strain of the day on: June 13, 2015, 08:37:43 AM
I wish I had access to all the different strains that seem to be available in the states. Basically you don't know what you're getting when you buy it in my country and this is why I'm a fan of legalization and regulation. Who knows what crap you're smoking and how weak or strong it is going to be. I'd love to be able to try a Sativa strain because I'm not a big fan of the couch lock high you get from Indicas and basically that's usually all I ever got from smoking.
106  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CoinsForTech.com - Global Electronics Wholesaler! Fast Worldwide Shipping! on: June 13, 2015, 08:09:04 AM
Code BTCWIN is expired after only one day?

Furthermore your pricing isn't very competitive anymore.

Example: Sony Alpha 7 II, 1,595 USD

Camera less 7% plus 19% German VAT: 1,567 EUR when it arrives. This doesn't include potential fees of your Bitcoin payment provider applied to the BTC rate.

Amazon: 1,564 EUR, delivered, all taxes included, will arrive on Monday morning when ordered today.

Sold and shipped from a EU dealer I enjoy all regulatory provisions regarding warranties and customer protection following EU law.

This is why it's not really worth buying expensive items from outside the EU. The only thing that makes the prices attractive is that they don't include extortionate taxes, but you'll almost certainly get hit with them in customs so it defeats the purpose. Then of course if there's any problems it's not worth shipping it back to wherever it came from. Far easier just to bite the bullet and pay the extra to get it from your own country or inside the EU. At least you have the warranties and guarantees then as well.
107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Rumour] Top Gear Presenters going to Netflix on: June 13, 2015, 07:59:10 AM
My friend showed my a 9GAG post or from some humor related site that they might go to netflix. What about all the international viewers that can't use netflix?

C'mon, who actually watches TV or pays for Netflix? As soon as a program has finished airing either on TV or Netflix it is ripped an uploaded on torrents and warez sites and Top Gear will be no different. I never watched Top Gear when it was on TV but downloaded them after so I could watch them any time. I actually have all 22 seasons downloaded but haven't watched the earlier ones.
108  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Soccer Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: June 13, 2015, 07:42:02 AM
Germany or Portugal for today's games? Germany game will be interesting to see if they can bounce back from their defeat by USA.
There is no big match in euro qualifiers today, both germany and portugal visits to minor teams. I prefer to predict copa america, Argentina vs Paraguay.

It doesn't have to be be a 'big match' but Germany and Portugal are among the biggest teams in the world and Paraguay are a minor team too. They don't even seem to be ranked in the top 50: http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/
109  Other / Off-topic / Re: My 6969th post! on: June 11, 2015, 02:22:04 PM

What episode of South Park is this from? I don't think I've seen this one.

Why are activity and posts not the same?

Why is this the first time you've noticed such after posting 121 times?

Because his activity is doing that because he doesn't make that many posts. Once he makes enough he will hit a brick wall and his activity will stop rising until the next period.
110  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I need advice and help with a big IF! on: June 11, 2015, 02:17:52 PM
Well you surely seem to be motivated to try use the exploit until someone finds you out and 'fixes it'. From the sounds of it you seem to be claiming to have found a winning strategy but I doubt you have. I get the feeling you're just trying to rope people in to contact you about the exploit (even though you say this isn't the case). Either that or you've just discovered Martingale and think it's a magic money maker lololol.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: June 11, 2015, 12:56:44 PM
Straight to ADX Florence where he'll be buried alive for several years. No human contact and a tiny patch of sky to look at.

Who want human contact, if it is only with hardcore criminals such as rapists, robbers and murderers? I still want him to try prison break.

I wasn't talking about Ross. I was speaking in general. And if he did try to escape they could take away his privileges or put him in solitary.

If I was in his place, I wouldn't care much about the prison privileges. And solitary confinement will be a much better option, when compared to getting sodomized by the seasoned criminals.

Of course you would. You're in jail until you die and you wouldn't care about losing the only things that are keeping you sane? You'd go nuts in solitary confinement for that long. And not everyone gets raped in prison but you seem to be quite preoccupied with that for some reason.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard makes the case that it’s safer and faster than Bitcoin! LOL on: June 11, 2015, 12:51:44 PM
If MasterCard is safer and faster than Bitcoin, why are they pushing for regulation? They should have nothing to worry about.
I understand that most members of the forum disagree with what MasterCard said, but I will agree with them, up to a point.
To elaborate, they are safer for the average Joe to use and they are definitely faster for the average Joe to use.

You are confused. A credit card is not faster in any way

The consumer experience:

Bitcoin: Scan a QR code. Press SEND. Done.
Credit Card: Give the cashier the card. Show identification. Wait for the slip to print. Sign the slip. Get the card back. Done.

The merchant experience:

Bitcoin: Wait for 1-6 confirmations. You have your money.
Credit card: Wait until the end of the month. You might have your money. Wait 9 months. You have your money.

I think you're being quite biased here. I don't know what country you live in but it takes seconds to use my debit or credit card and all I need to do is input my pin and I don't need to show any ID. My creditcard is even contactless and I don't even need to enter my pin which makes it quicker. And what you described is an ideal bitcoin use scenario, not one that will always happen. I'm sure there will be plenty of times when there's no net connection. I don't know if I'd dare use my bitcoins over wifi either since it opens you up to potential hacking. Good luck trying to get your coins back when that happens too.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: June 11, 2015, 12:10:03 PM
Though it's almost unheard of and those that do usually get caught very quickly. Not really worth it as when you get caught your sentence will just be increased.

Ross Ullbricht is already sentenced to life in prison without parole. How they are going to increase his punishment? By giving him the death penalty? In my opinion, if Ross gets a (semi-)decent chance to escape from the prison, he should utilize it. Even if he gets caught, it will make no difference to his prison term.

I wasn't talking about Ross. I was speaking in general. And if he did try to escape they could take away his privileges or put him in solitary.
114  Economy / Services / Re: [DoubleBot.com] ★ Signature Campaign ★ | Join Now [Open] on: June 11, 2015, 12:06:42 PM
Hello everyone !

I am being the escrow now for this campaign as the previous escrow was not trustworthy.
You're not trustworthy either. An escrow needs to be trusted less it's pointless using them as it defeats the purpose of escrow. You also could be an alt of btcblogger or op for all we know.
115  Economy / Services / Re: [3 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature Campaign - Earn up to 0.16 BTC Per Month! on: June 11, 2015, 11:46:18 AM
Hello. Have you send the payments for 9th of June? I haven't received mine.

Your paydate seems to be on the 13th according to the spreadsheet. I think people got an extension due to the forum downtime.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: June 11, 2015, 11:38:04 AM
Ross won't serve life in prison. This society is going too last 5 years, maybe 10 max before the shit hits the fan. Ross has a good 50 years or so left of his natural life. He will not spend more than 10 in prison before the coming collapse. He'll be out in a prison break for sure..

Successful prison breaks happen only in movies. So I am a little bit skeptical. But at the current rate of drug legalization (just look at Portugal and Uruguay) around the world, I hope that within 10-15 years, the United States will start legalizing the soft drugs such as weed and shrooms. Still, that doesn't guarentee his release, as he is accused of other crimes as well.

Not all the time: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/dannemora-prison-break-escape-has-become-longest-prison-break-in-new-york-history-10311916.html

Though it's almost unheard of and those that do usually get caught very quickly. Not really worth it as when you get caught your sentence will just be increased. And many states have already legalized cannabis medicinally and more are starting to do it for recreational purposes too but it'll be a long time before they legalize it on a federal level.
117  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: June 11, 2015, 11:34:38 AM
Just a suggestion.

You need to increase the payouts for hero and Sr members. Other campaigns are paying much more and this small amount encourages spam. Instead you can reduce the min post required, increase the min chars and of course, increase the payout per post.

I have thought of joining others many times but the advanced automated payment system of yours keeps me in.

What the hell are you talking about? How does paying this small amount encourage spam? There's no logic in that at all. Also, there is no minimum post required and this campaign obviously has it's benefits less you wouldn't still be here. Basically you're just saying "I want to get paid more".

119  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-03] IBT: Another MtGox style disaster 'waiting to happen' on: June 05, 2015, 09:30:44 AM
Aren't the owners of btc-e completely anonymous? Don't be surprised if that site ever disappears or if it gets shut down for operating illegally and don't expect to get your coins refunded if it does. Until we get fully functional decentralized exchanges I wouldn't trust any exchange as any staff member of that site could easily shift coins as what likely happened at gox.

I don't agree with your argument. The owners of BTC-e might be anonymous. But they are far more trustworthy than any of their competitors. They have been around since 2010, and no hacker have ever managed to steal from them. And we have seen what happened to Mt Gox. Its owner was not anonymous. Yet he perpetrated the biggest robbery in the history of Bitcoin.

A unregulated exchange backed by anonymous people somewhere in Russia (I Think?) is more trustworthy than the licensed and insured coinbase? I have had no problems with btc-e in the past but I wouldn't put my faith in them longterm. And do you have any evidence that Karpales stole the funds? If you do you should hand that over to the police because I have yet to see any against him, but the exact same thing that happened to gox can happen to btc-e. It's likely even more possible given the fact that they're unlicensed and anonymous.
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any UK banks allow trading of Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2015, 12:27:01 PM
Well Coinbase recently set up the UK's first legit exchange so I'm assuming they have bank accounts. Maybe try find out which ones they use?
