As mentioned several times before, your account was found to have violated our Terms and Conditions. We are happy to accept players to Moonbet that respect our T&C's and those players have never had an issue receiving their funds, including players that have recently withdrawn up to $60,000 at one time.

We are licensed and have always put our player satisfaction first.

However, in instances where players or groups attempt to defraud us, we must take the necessary steps to protect ourselves. Moonbet is a community-owned and founded Web3 Sportsbook and Casino, so anybody that attempts to defraud our platform is stealing from our community members.

As mentioned in our previous post, due to what has occurred with several accounts that have all joined the same day and placed the exact same bets on the same NBA markets, we have had to take additional steps to verify the account owners.

Unfortunately, several of the accounts uploaded false or unidentifiable KYC documentation to the site, which immediately raises red flags for our Fraud Prevention team. This extra step is being done to ensure we have the correct and unique account holders for every account that was made during this occurence. There is a difference between "Transparency" and sharing all the information of an account. You must understand that although we are a Web3 Sportsbook and Casino, we also operate under license and cannot simply share the entire betting history of an account with the public. We have asked the player about sharing any more personal information and they have declined, as they also share betting picks on social channels and do not want their history made fully available.

Our players have a right to some extent of privacy. Would you be happy if all of your personal bets were shared across the internet? Since there was a social media component to this contest, we do not want the player's full history to be available for everyone to see.

We were very clear in showing the statistics of all the players that bet in the race. The issue did not come from betting in the race, the issue came from the additional requirement of players to like, retweet, and tag 3 friends in order to be considered eligible for the contest.

Once we were made aware of the fact that the top 10, which were completely transparent, did not fulfill these requirements, we went through to find the next highest bettor that did. We shared that person's betting amounts and the OP was one of the other two players that fulfilled all the requirements. He knows he did not surpass that betting amount. There is no point in sharing his information (unless he wants us to), because he only bet 20% of the what the winner did in the period.

We understand what you are saying and we did not think that players that had bet so much and had an opportunity to win $500 USD would not fulfill the very simple tasks of Twitter. We were completely transparent having the race section on our website for the duration of the World Cup.

We have been in operation for over 18 months now and only had a handful of issues from players. We do everything we can to keep our players happy and with over 4,000 registered players, only having two official complaints in 18 months is extremely low.

As mentioned in our conversation, the account Manate29 violated several of our Terms and Conditions. Primarily, you had admitted to our team that you were accessing Moonbet.io via a VPN, which is clearly against our T&Cs.

Next, Manate29 was part of over 20 accounts all from the same region that joined on December 24, all placed the exact same bets on the same markets within 10 minutes of each other (a very specific NBA market), and then also engaged in arbitrage betting amongst those accounts. Several of the accounts joined with the same IP address and when we did ask for KYC on accounts to verify these were not multi-accounts, fake documentation was provided to us.

This entire instance violates our Terms and Conditions surrounding syndicate betting, as well as multiple accounts. Unfortunately, it is much more than a mere coincidence that your account placed the EXACT same bets at the EXACT same 10-minute interval as 20 other accounts that all registered within one hour of your registration. Also, these bets were maxed out, indicating that this was done to circumvent the limitation on betting.

Our risk and fraud department has been working this entire week in going through said accounts and you will be able to make a withdrawal of your original balance as soon as possible. We never like to take such actions, however we do need to protect our players, our partners, our providers, and our community from fraudulent activities.

Your issue has been addressed several times, both on Telegram and in the forum.

We have been completely transparent in stating that the initial winner did not fill out the proper Twitter criteria and then we selected the correct winner.

Please do not say "Beware and please consider for betting at Moonbet.io" just because you are unhappy that you did not win the competition.

We had a table for the top 10 race leaders, however none of them had filled the requirements of Twitter to be eligible in the end.

There is a lot of development work that goes on behind the scenes for races, so it is not as simple as just creating a new table.

We have absolutely no reason to lie about who won the contest, as the entire point of the Race is to show players they can win money by betting with us.

Jojo21 had nearly 5x more money bet than the next person who filled out the Twitter requirements. If anybody filled out the Twitter requirements and had over $6,300 in bets on the World Cup, I invite them to contact us.

I will be addressing the issue that has been brought up by the OP. First of all, we appreciate that he has brought up an oversight in the contest.

What Happened?

We ran the contest for the World Cup race, where the player who completed the tasks in the original tweet and had the most bets would win $500.

However, as it is the holiday season and the person that originally posted the contest is on holiday, another member of our team posted the "Winner is Clip32" post based solely on their bets placed, not realizing that they had not completed the required Twitter actions to be eligible.

An oversight and a mistake, nothing more than that. Once notified about the issue yesterday, the post was removed so that we could find the true winner, as none of the Top 10 raceboard leaders had completed the Twitter tasks.

The Actual Winner

The winner of the contest is user Jojo21, which will be announced on Twitter today. He correctly filled out the Twitter requirements and had $6,349.21 in bets during the race.

While I am happy that the OP brought this oversight to light, I would like to take a minute to say that just because we work online and in crypto casinos, it is not right to be rude to people.

Yesterday, rather than simply explaining that there was an issue, the OP contacted several of our team members to call them "scammers", "clowns", "idiots", etc.

These are real people that have a job and sometimes mistakes can happen. It is just as easy to contact people in a civil manner to point out an issue, rather than being rude and making them feel terrible for a mistake that they made.

An update:

The player's account has been opened and he can withdrawal all funds that were both deposited and won in Moonbet.io To be clear, the player did NOT win thousands of dollars betting in Moonbet as originally claimed. He did however have a balance which he was wrongfully unable to withdraw over the past several days.

As mentioned in our previous message, we do NOT agree with the actions taken by the trading team and have advised them to consult us in the future before any players have actions taken against their accounts.

Unfortunately, limiting or refusing players can occassionally occur in the world of sports betting. While we never enjoy taking such actions, in cases where players engage in syndicate betting, arbitrage, and other tactics which are frowned upon by operators, we must do so to protect our business.

Thank you for your patience in regards to the matter. Just so everyone in the forum knows, we reached out to the user immediately after becoming aware of this issue via Telegram yesterday.

We have only just received the player information (wallet address) as the player did not have his username. Our team is investigating the matter and will ensure that any bets which have been won are paid out.

Due to our partnership with OwlDAO, some elements of the administrative side of Moonbet, most notably sportsbook trading, are simply out of our control. While we are still investigating exactly what has taken place, it looks like an overzealous trader may have banned this account without providing us the full details, which was obviously the wrong move.

As previously stated and Jason stated in the Telegram messages, any bets that were placed and won at Moonbet.io by the player will be paid in full. While placing limitations on certain players or markets is a standard practice in sports betting, outright banning somebody is not.

This is the first and only accusation that has been brought against Moonbet in over 14 months of operation and we pride ourselves on fairness to all players, being crypto betting enthusiasts ourselves.

Both the player and forum will be updated as soon as we have a complete understanding of what has occurred and what steps we are taking to make sure it is fully resolved.
