If it's just computers the company owns, then it's not a decentralized crypto like bitcoin. If the company goes down, the coin network goes down.

Cracking 2FA eh.. was it 2FA to an e-mail or phone? I figure if you are using 2FA with an e-mail it kind of defeats the purpose.
I thought 2FA was always to a second device separate from your computer, like a mobile phone or something. Can it mean just to email? If your computer is infected, then your email password is as compromised as your exchange passwords.

... No money lost as I haven't sold, sorry fallling. ... Detailed description of my revolutionary new market strategy, 100% scientifically guaranteed never to lose money: 1. Buy. 2. Never sell. 3. ? ? ? 4. Profit! Equivalent to throwing coins into a well. Physical coins might be worth more soon at this rate! At least you can sell physical metal coins for scrap if they become worthless, and you can wipe your arse on bank notes if they become worthless. You can't use bitcoins for anything if they become worthless.

We had a red coin, and a redd coin. If it's not officially made by reddit then they can't use the name reddit. What will they call it?

On the other hand ethereum will be a good prototype for clones with better distribution. The clones that start from the ground up is where the profit is for the investors.
Yes, it's the actual product that matters. A block chain programming language for smart contracts. And if that succeeds, my friend, it will change everything. The question whether the smart contract network will be lubricated with ether or some alternative token is not really important. But also, so far it's the Ethereum developing this product, not some other development group. some other development group might be secretly developing an alternative right now. As far as I know there is no planned release date for the finished Ethereum product, and another team might release an alternative before them.

Early adopters with millions of dollars worth of bitcoins might push the price lower. some of them probably just want a million dollars now, rather than more than that in five years time.

It peaked about half a week ago, and has dropped a lot since then. It's hardly increasing in value steadily.

For local wallets I think Multibit is the best (and they are working on a new version that looks awesome). For convenience, blockchain.
I have used multibit without problems for months. Recently I tried to download the latest version from their website, but my browser refused to load the page and gave a certificate error. This really pissed me off because I refuse to download the client from anywhere else.
