421  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why do people think is a mistake to be Nigeria?? on: December 06, 2023, 01:55:06 PM
Because they were so irresponsible in making a decision on what may lead to he continued development of their entire career and life as whole, instead they are waiting on someone or the government to push them to the exact direction or in making the decision needed for thier lives, this is nothing than having a low self esteem, everyone all around the world could have that same reason, it's a pity to be born poor and it's one's fault to die been poor, we all have equal opportunity to survive through and make it in life if we never give up.
422  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: To chop no be small wahala for the country on: December 06, 2023, 01:26:23 PM
Many are finding it so difficult to earn a living due to the rate of increasing inflation in the country, things are just getting more complicated instead of getting better because there's no much avenue for some people to get opportunities in surviving through the economy hardships that's going on, we cannot conclude that this is only affecting our own country alone, other countries got affected too as well, but when we plan to have a sustainable alternative on our own for the sake of ourselves and the dependent family we have, we may not be really affected, we can also encourages farming for the settlement of the demands on food items.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: December 05, 2023, 02:35:00 PM

For this reason, self-control is needed so that we can control our awareness that winning is unusual, and we must appreciate it so that we can prevent losing again if we continue gambling. We don't need to chase win, especially since we already know that it could be dangerous for us because we could lose the money we have earned. By stopping gambling after winning, it means we can get something that many gamblers want, and we are among the lucky ones.

With self-control, we can remain aware that we are gambling with the aim of seeking entertainment, and when we get it, we must immediately stop gambling. And even when we can win, stopping gambling is the best decision we can make. We will not be able to beat the house, especially since we have taken a lot of money from the house, and we should be grateful to be able to win from the house.

Self-control stems from being disciplined. If you have a good upbringing, it will be much easier for you to limit yourself to the things that you need to do, want to do, and shouldn't do. Boundaries makes a whole lot of difference when you are gambling. This is why if you don't possess good character and discipline, you must think twice before entering the gambling industry because it isn't for the weak. If you will be easily swayed by enticing promotions, campaigns, and winning prizes, the chances of you losing is hogh because you might do things that are beyond your capability. So as much as possible, practice good gambling habits and do not play in an aggressive manner.

Very accurate, a disciplined gambler will know how to rightfully engage the manner of self-control, some gamblers actually knows how to maintain their limits in every of the gambling activities they are doing because they understand the need to, they also have plans on how they gamble, when they gamble and does things accordingly without being corrected before doing the right things, this is how it should appear thesame way with every gambler, we should gamble with care and must not get carried away by any means of distractions while gambling.
424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warming warning of the BTC, ETH & the LTC Cryptos upcoming halving on: December 05, 2023, 02:07:51 PM
In every decision we are making towards our investment on either bitcoin or any other altcoins that may follow, we shouldn't forget that halving is always orchestrated by a season of highly volatile pattern of market price and there will always be a major event to mark the halving seeing either the worst performing currency or the most best performing digital currency, the failed currency as well as scam or bankrupt projects all during the halving, we should be always getting ready for anything to happen for good or worse under the kind of investment we made on digital currencies.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are the cause of millions of crypto project failures on: December 05, 2023, 01:33:03 PM
The saddest part is that banks are not providing any services to list cryptocurrency projects on centralized exchanges, For which banks can issue new loans as well as create their own exchanges, These loans can help many failed projects, pump and dump tokens to list on cryptocurrency exchanges, For which no verification is required and people remain anonymous, Because banks can take their share in the form of tokens while issuing loans,  the share portion can be equivalent to the loans they issue to such projects along with this to help them to get listed on exchanges, banks can support economies by providing liquidity to such projects by continuously issuing loans too.

Don't let's assume that banks are tge cause of many failed crypto projects, there are billionaires Investors among them who also move in money to make an Investment in them, if some of them get money from banks i think that's strictly for making business, the banks may be less concerned on what project they are embarking as well, just as you can also use your own reputation to get loan from the bank to engage doing any business of your choice, some projects developers are scammers right from time and were only taking the avenue for a new crypto launch to raise funds and pump the market then leave everything vulnerable all of a sudden.
426  Other / Off-topic / Re: All my social media friends don't want to reply me lately, dafuq is going on rn? on: December 05, 2023, 01:06:17 PM
Let me tell you this in case you don't know, things don't just happened like that without having a reason behind it, now you're so worried of their non challant attitude to you, yet you're not busy concerned about what may be the reason for taking such actions altogether on you, but for someone like me, i will first suggest you look into these possible reasons and make research on them.

1.  You might have offend them unknowingly to you
2. Your account might be once hacked and they ignored the scammer
3.  They might have heard something wrong about you they are displease with and acted upon
4. Try reachout to other people and check for the same reason if it continues that people keep ignoring you
5. If you're less important to some people, they try to ignore you, things might have changed very much from how you left them.
427  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: House rents frustrating while solutions are ignored on: December 05, 2023, 11:36:50 AM
Solution opinion to the situation
The government could play and help minimize this hiking rents issues simply my issuing mandatory orders on every landlords and give them a specific range of charges they are expected to rent their house and anyone violating the rules must be penalized and every landlords must issues rentage receipts to every of its tenants because the amount stated in the receipt would be used to justify any of the reported landlords if overcharging their house occupants and there should be an active functioning phone number that is to be reached and report any forms of the landlords.

This is not the solution to this kind of challenges, firstly i don't think house rent is that unaffordable in Nigeria to that extent except you don't go for your size, this also depends on the kind of location or city you are, even in advance countries, there's no uniformity in house rent pay rate, the only exception are the ones under the government schemes, but each individual has the right to place any amount he feels comfortable with for his rent charges, the landlords built their houses themselves and not the government, so they can make demands on any rate they feel satisfied with.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: December 04, 2023, 08:51:43 PM
It's only an irresponsible gambler that will go ahead in taking money for loan to gamble with it when they don't have any sure means of returning it back, we should gamble when we are free on our leisure time and also have some money at hand for that purpose, it's not a good idea to use loan fun for gambling, we can rather look for other means like earningfrom what we do or can do and not what will make others loss their interest on us.
429  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk was down on: December 04, 2023, 08:22:52 PM
Hahaha...1 hour is an understatement, it's way more. Smiley

If I am not mistaken, that downtime can't be anything less than 3 hours this time. I used the update I received on a telegram group to judge this which I believe is way more. You know what? I believe that people were more panicky this time than the last ones judging by the recent developments going on in the forum.

Well, I hope that we can be updated regularly on the cause of the downtime or even be warned before it happens at all.

The last time, I encountered downtime it was for 3 hours. Don't know what happen. Who knows if it's really a random issue or some kind of attack attempt. Theymos did they, that it was some server side problem. The most concerning part it the downtimes are becoming more frequent and longer. That is what what starts the panics.

There's no how there wouldn't be any form of glitches on the means to get access to the forum or internet as there's no assurance that things like this will not keep happening, though it may mean nothing but it's better that we know there will occasional experience like this, regarding the downtime, sometimes it may be due to the upgrade made to the forum or the other related internet connectivity challenges from accessing the forum, but the good thing is that it's all nothing to worry a about.

What's with this profile settings? I can't set my profile picture. I need a guid.

Here we don't call it a profile picture, it's an avatar and most people you're seing wearing them were only doing such for an advertisement purpose, nobody will like to display his own real identity to the public for nothing sake, also for someone to be able to wear an avatar, it has to be a fullmember and above which i believe you're not yet, but you may be able to only post an image with your rank and not an avatar.

432  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Phishing scam on (exchanges) altcoins addresses on: December 04, 2023, 05:39:45 PM
What a serious trick is this, we have to be careful with anything that has to do with copy and paste, in most cases, i ensure to check the first five or six characters and the last ones as well to make sure that they tally with the ones am sending to, it's also better that we always copy directly from the wallet address on the exchange and then verify it was the inded address copied and paste.

Na why anytime I wan do transaction I no dey like any distraction. Even if sleep dey my eyes, e go clear because the rate this scammers dey advance with their scamming method is alarming. Whenever I want to send coins, no matter how small e be, I no dey feel lazy to go copy address directly from the exchange I'm sending to. And if na person I want send I go tell am to verify the address again before I send. Sadly, even copying directly from exchange account no longer dey save again because some keyboard app developers now na thief dem be too. You go copy address and dem go replace am with address wey dey similar to the one wey you copy. In most cases, the first and last digit or letter go be the same thing and if you proceed without paying attention Omo you don enta one chance be that. We just need to dey careful when sending our asset because anything wey you don send is no refundable.

That's a good decision and if every bitcoiners can always try as much as possible in giving attention to whenever they are trying to make a transaction, the rate of loss of fund due to any kind of format will be reduced and people will also have no reason of making some silly mistakes while performing their transaction, making a slightly mistake in cryptocurrency could cost alot of havoc including loosing the entire fund, this is what many should understand that it's a clear difference between using a commercial bank and using bitcoin for making payments transactions.

My Review:

Signing up

The first thing am going to talk about under this section from what I've encountered was that the website was fast and loaded well which was as expected for a good performance, but i discover that when i wanted to sign up, the page was not coming up for signing up on the browser i was using which was chrome, before i then switched to brave which then properly open the page for sign up, i understand that this may be probably my own error due to the browser or device used or rather the website being selective on that.

The Website Appearance and Settings.

I like the way the entire website appearance was, starting from the theme, fonts and the arrangements for each section of games, this is one of the first attraction that a gambler use in making a decision to either use a gambling platform or not because that the first representation of the image of the gambling platforms, I must applaud a well done job on that.

Supported Currencies

I also like the ideal way used by Jack's Club gambling platform to ensure that they supported a numbers of currencies that are reputable and common by everyone, this alone is one of the reasons gamblers can use to stay when they realized they won't have a deposit challenge in some currencies they may desire.

Deposit and Withdrawal

The deposit is one of the easiest to do because the entire procedures are straight forward and easy to achieve, i also liked the withdrawal of having a minimum amount of 0.001btc as balance while the transaction fee is not something to worry about as well.

Conclusion:

Gamblers will like to have a look, bet and also stay with Jack's Club gambling platform because they have simplified the whole thing to the best standard every gamblers would want, but as I've pointed out earlier, the site functionality should be tested on different devices likewise different browsers to see it there's any barrier or not in using one.
434  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: December 02, 2023, 11:56:06 AM
If all that had been said is truly having a negative impact on food security and availability then let everyone go back to making agricultural farming, if an average person is having a small garden where he do not need to go looking after what to buy being produced by others, there will be less dependency on a single supply entity, increase completion and make food items be more available for purchase at a cheaper price, this is possible because we have alot of people involved in the practice of agriculture unlike when we have lesser people being into farming.
435  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, when KYC will be introduced? on: December 02, 2023, 11:29:59 AM
In this regard, the entire crypto-community has the following question:

When have you becomes the public relation officer of the entire bitcointalk members, why can you include everyone making this kind of demand, isn't it better that you make you a thing of your personal approach than general one, afteral I don't see the reason why you created this thread as being genuine enough to still remains open for comments, it's better you lock it before the moderator does so, if you have any comments to make, why not go to the main thread to comment there.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: December 02, 2023, 10:53:37 AM
Let's discuss the unique challenges of responsible gambling in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Crypto gambling can be fun, but it's important to keep our financial boundaries intact.

Share your tips and thoughts on staying responsible in this digital realm.
One of the tips that a gambler should follow to stay responsible is to keep their emotions under control. A man can claim to be a responsible gambler whenever he can control his emotions. Then 1 to 5% of a gambler's monthly income or weekly income should be spent on the gambling platform. Keeping track of betting wins and losses is one of the tasks of a responsible gambler. A gambler who can comply with all these tasks can be accepted as a responsible gambler.

I like your here, being an emotional gambling does not oays than it hurts because when you're too controlled by your emotions, you get confused about what is next in line to do, this then martk the onset of irresponsible gambling kind of lifestyle, may be if sometimes we do take a look on the rate we use in gambling and how we have won those bets and compare to the ones we loosed, maybe we could actually think about the rate of money that would have been involved under loss.
437  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Phishing scam on (exchanges) altcoins addresses on: December 02, 2023, 10:15:07 AM
What happened
I do not want to reveal my Binance address which will be the reason I will not show the proof but people on this forum on English board know how this is real. You will see many scammers address that ended with your Binance address, continuously sending you 0.000357 USDT to 0.0005 USDT with the addresses similar to your Binance account address as you know USDT is a token on those chains. The rate this is happening to me continuously has increased and it happened again yesterday.

I also make use of Binance but never experienced anything that has to do with this, i also ensure that I don't leave my bitcoin address open publicly or any other chain addresses am having just for privacy purpose, but I've heard some other people saying thesame thing happening with them in situations like this, i think this is more about the exchange in particular or the platforms we use that host our wallet addresses that these scammers got them from.

The scammer's target
The scammer's will generate address similar to your Binance account or the exchange account that you are using because the address are fixed and not changing like bitcoin address on noncustodial wallet. They will generate as many as possible addresses similar to yours in a way if you only look at the characters ending your exchange account address and the scammer's address, their last 7 characters are the same. The hacker is thinking that if you want to send coins to your exchange address next time, that you will just copy and paste his (the scammer's) address on your wallet directly which is easier instead of going to copy it on your exchange,l account, thereby copying a scammer's address instead but thinking it is yours, using it to send money to the scammer, thinking you are using it to send money to your Binance or exchange account.

438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Prices and Resistance Levels? on: December 02, 2023, 09:21:35 AM
Why are target prices and especially resistance level terms that people use so much?  What is the point of saying target price unless you are going to buy or sell btc at that price?  Or is that what people mean by the target price?

This is just like you're trying to perform a trade and decided to make use of a limit or instead of a market order, you can wait for long without having your order being confirmed with the value of the rate you place for the market to sell, so it's more easier to use a market order than limit which is under assumptions, if you guess right, you win and if you don't then you losse or keep waiting for your order to get confirmed, we may not be always accurate with the way we predicted our own market view, remember we are dealing with a volatile currency, it can go the opposite of what we presumed.
439  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The fate of mixers. on: December 01, 2023, 01:33:25 PM
Do the mixers actually know where transactions are coming from, maybe to not allow the transaction if it's from a criminal organisation. For instance, if Mr Bob wants to mix bitcoin he used to purchase arms in the darker, will Sinbad know that the particular coin is coming from dark net transactions? If No, it therefore means all mixers are vulnerable and can be taken down at anytime.

Mixers are doing their job just to maintain user's privacy, scammers are also using the banks to make deposit and there's nothing they can do about it as long as they are not making a request on how they source fund their money, the gover should better understand this that mixers are not the bad actors here, it's the people, but can they regulate this, obviously no, you shouldn't be able to be questioned on the source to your fund you have, the real theives are the governments here.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: December 01, 2023, 01:06:23 PM
There are many means through which i can choose to hodl by bitcoin Investment, but first i have to realize the kind of Investor I belong, am i holding just for a short time in other to participate in making trade or I've turned it an invest that a hodl over a longer period for my asset value to he maintained, sometimes i use DCA to accumulate my bitcoin holdings and then continue building the portfolio gradually towards having more to hold for a targeted season to sell.
