DRC uses child labor.

Every Tesla/powerwall sold is using child labor.

What's the societal impact of child labor on finished products?

I was born in Cameroon and I spend a lot of time doing business in Africa, the reality of 'exploitation' in Africa often comes down to the following quote

"the only thing worse than being exploited, is not to be exploited!"
- Joan Robinson

It is these leftists idiots that don't understand that banning child labor will kill the children.

If these kids didn't work, they wouldn't have anything to eat.

They aren't slaves. They don't work because someone forces them to.
They work so they can earn food.

If companies didn't purchase their products they would die from starvation.

You can't sign your way to prosperity.
It's the current reality that African countries have almost no incentive to be invested in because of bad laws etc. that caused people to earn so little with their work that parents simply can't earn enough to feed themselves&their children in the same time.
In a lot of cases the kids need to work if they want to live.
The only thing that can change that is to open up the market and set way for the market forces to increase the wages&prosperity.

Some Indians on twitter found from a photo that she doesn't eat bread crust.
Their vision are quite sharp.

I'd say it is hypocritical that one who wastes food claims herself a fighter for ecosystem.

Not only that, but she'd be greatly mistaken to think a sailboat for a month or two had a lower carbon emissions statistic than an airplane for eight or ten hours. It's necessary to figure total lifecycle costs into such a computation.

If she is teaching falsely now, shouldn't we lock her up for Climate Crimes and only feed her bread crusts?

Smiley

It's interesting how none of this ecofacists want to introduce CO2 emission free nuclear energy, but focus on solar and other low efficient production methods.
525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: November 28, 2019, 02:39:50 PM

I'm pretty certain being extinct is a fucking failure.
And all other subtypes of humans went extinct except for the homo sapiens, the neanderthals are the most popularized ones.

Again, there aren't the many types of subhuman-failure fossils that would have to exist in the fossil record, if there was any evolution.

God is still the only viable method whereby life came about.

Cool

I just gave you the list.
Here's a list of the most populare failure fossils:

Neanderthal, Cro-Magnon, Homo floresiensis, Homo erectus, Homo ergaster, Homo habilis, Paranthropus boisei, Paranthropus aethiopicus, Australopithecus africanus, Australopithecus afarensis ....

And, again. This list is interpretative. Absolutely no proof.

Cool

What is proof for you?
The only proof you would accept would be if it it was written in the bible.
526  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Help I came home from school and my parents are gone - Chinese reeducation camps on: November 28, 2019, 02:38:27 PM
Reading through the article, I just get a feeling that the CCP is trying to brainwash the detainees in the camps.
That is precisely what they are doing. They are also trying to scare the detainees and their families into speaking and acting in ways that conform with how the Chinese government wants everyone to act.

You think the Chinese stopped using detainees for manual labor? I remember that was the usual thing done in these "reeducation" camps that were located in rural areas. I believe Deng (the guy who opened up China) himself was sent to one to work farms.

But yeah, these days it's probably just easier to use them as hostage facilities to cow Chinese family members abroad.

The reeducation camps you mentioned have been abolished in 2013.
Those revived in Xinjiang are of another kind.
I think CCP has found out the efficiency of the labours in such camps are inferior compared to those who serve in a typical Chinese sweatshop.
And to serve those sweatshops, the labours should be brainwashed first, then some basic skills taught.
From some perspective, CCP didn't lie. In these camps, they do provide skill trainnings which would make those muslims good cheap labours for sweatshops.

Yes.
Those sweatshops allowed the average Chinese get a 100% wage increase every 5 years for the last 20 years.
The average Chinese worker has a wage higher than a worker in Serbia.
20 years ago it was 10 times lower.
900$ GDP/capita
Today it's 9000.
527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The World in 2020 on: November 28, 2019, 02:26:44 PM
I think the craziest thing about this presidency is the fact that Trump is the biggest news story every single day. There's not one day that you will go online and see that someone else as the top headline.

This wasn't the case for Obama or Bush or anyone before him.

Everyday people wait for what Trump does, or tweets, or says and then they start making their news stories for the day. I think that's INSANE.

There has never been a president with whom a media war of this proportions was ever led.
They will make up anything to use against him.

There is no missing link. That's a myth.
Neanderthal, Cro-Magnon, Homo floresiensis, Homo erectus, Homo ergaster, Homo habilis, Paranthropus boisei, Paranthropus aethiopicus, Australopithecus africanus, Australopithecus afarensis ....

How come all these 'species' of humans existed in different times if evolution isn't true?
I've highlighted the problem with your argument; sausage links are made for a hotdog party not good science.

You see different races of humans like dogs or rabbits doesn't prove Epstein didn't kill himself. How come all these rabbit holes exist if he hung himself on his knees?

The point is, if there was any evolution, there would be all kinds of failures in the fossil record. But there aren't any. But if there are one or two, there are not anywhere near the millions that would be required to exist if evolution were real.

The alternative - God - is proven again!

Cool

531  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] WILL TRUMP BE ELECTED TO A SECOND TERM? on: November 25, 2019, 09:18:50 PM
More than 80% think he will be elected to a second term at this point. 18 to 4. A higher % than I was expecting.

EH I mean we do have to remember that the people taking this poll are mostly going to be libertarians. And while Trump isn't a libertarian by any means, he is the closest when you're comparing with Dems and other members of the GOP.

He's like -- the best of the many evils in the eyes of many libertarians / people that like less regulation, smaller gov, etc.

Yeah that..
Gotta think longterm, past the current fads.. Preserve the constitution as much as possible and maintain a constitutional SCOTUS..
Pretty important stuff..

Its easy to feel like a winner when you don't put down any stakes eh?

I'll take a 0.1BTC 1:1 trump wins 2020..

532  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why are are allowed to criticize everything except jews or truth on: November 25, 2019, 09:11:17 PM
It's because Jews are rather successful and have plenty of influence.
It's in their sphere of interest to shut down people who speak against them and against Israel.
533  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 25, 2019, 09:09:41 PM
When it comes to causes, timing is everything.  She truly believes in her cause and that there is already sufficient data but world leaders are not acting on it except with rhetoric.  Why should she waste 4 years in school if the time to act is now?

How did a 16-year old girl get to speak at the UN?
What knowledge can she possibly possess in order to change world politics?

Do we want a 16-year old to guide the worlds deciosions?
Is this just a kid to target emotions in order to influence people for your agenda or is it a climate change expert who read through the literature?

-----------
My opinion is terrible.
Someone is using this girl for his interest.

538  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BOMBSHELL: ABC News Killed Epstein-Clinton Story, Says Anchor In Hot Mic Video on: November 12, 2019, 06:21:39 PM
Just dawned on me.
The leak says 3 years ago.
2016 election.
That's the reason why it wasn't reported.

Well yeah, obviously.

I mean at any point this leak is going to be shut down and silenced. This sort of leak is a major liability for the political elite. It's also a MAJOR liability for the two Pres candidates at the time of thee 2016 election - Clinton and Trump.

I think it's pretty much confirmed that Clinton had been abroad his private jets and islands.

I've read some conflicting info on Trump though -- as there is info that he's helped prosecutors involved in the Epstein prosecution, but there's also some info stating that he was aboard the planes and had parties with Epstein....

Who knows I guess. The only person with the info is dead now.

He rode on his plane ONCE, but not to the island, just because they happened to be going the same direction. He also shortly attended ONE of his parties. Enough to see he didn't want to be involved. They has a business relationship of some kind in real-estate that was short lived and ended with conflict. That is about the sum of it.

There's this though

https://twitter.com/TimOBrien/status/1147688866289262592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1147688866289262592&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fthe-media%2F2019%2F07%2F08%2Fcorporate-media-push-trump-jeffrey-epstein-conspiracy-theories-without-evidence%2F

Do you know what's the shipping price for 1 carton to the EU?

Dunno how dutyfree.io does it but they ship worldwide for like 5$.

They charge 2.5x what I do. Shipping is $15 usd to Madrid

Yeah but their shipping is 5$  Cheesy Free on orders over 50$.

So your offer is 16+15 = 31$
Their Camel is 39.97/carton

That's a very good price!
I'm unsure how it would pass through customs o.o
Good luck with your business.
540  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ulrich Klopfer found with 2246 preserved fetal remains on: November 12, 2019, 05:38:07 PM
What do you think Klopfer was doing with the fetuses? Why was he keeping them?
Serial killers like to collect trophies.
He is perfectly aware of what he is doing, no one will persuade me that such crimes have zero effect on perpetrator's psyche.
He went bonkers, rightfully so but its a shame he didn't blew his fallen brains out after first murder, he has time, he will manage.
So -- that's the way you're able to get away with this. As that is what the letter of the law says.
Doesn't make it less immoral.

I mean -- what's the argument against doing this? If the research follows all portions of the law, and is helping to promote resarch in fields where research is needed and can only be done through this medium then there's not much that can be done.

I'd love to hear the argument against PP doing this.

You're asking what's wrong with killing and selling dead babies? o.o

I'd love to hear the argument against PP doing this.
1. Did "mom" gave written permission to use her "produce" as a test subject?
2. Did dad gave permission to use his "produce" as a subject of medical experiments?
3. Where they both informed about the possibility of such experiments?

If all or just one of those answers is no, than we have a case of mismanage, depravation of "property" rights, theft and misdemeanour, that is fraud by concealment. That's for starters.

I mean when an abortion happens I highly doubt that many states classify this as remains and force the medical provider to give them back in some sort of way. Even found an article on the matter titled "Dead Featuses are not 'Remains''' - https://slate.com/technology/2019/05/dead-fetus-burial-laws-personhood-indiana-texas.html where it states that only particular states have these sorts of laws in full effect (that state that dead fetuses are remains)

I would go further and assume that there is some sort of opt in or opt out provided by PP when they're providing an abortion.

I hate PP as much as the next guy, and think that there should be no federal funding provided to them and instead given to federal health clinics -- but that doesn't discount the facts here.

Killing the Jews was legal as well.
