1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Pure Bitcoin Speculation Dead by 2023? on: January 09, 2023, 08:14:05 AM
Having said that, Bitcoin may be volatile in nature but there's no asset in the world that's stable in price and this is the reason speculation can never be separated from every asset market.
To be fair bitcoin is not an asset and was never meant to be an asset. It is a currency that needs to become money hence this much volatility is not good for it at all. The only hope we have is for bitcoin to slowly decrease its volatility and big unpredictable swings, and since so far we have seen that we remain hopeful.
Yes, the meaning of Bitcoin is not just for cryptographers to speculate, but a product based on currency, which can open up a new worldview and values. It is absolutely impossible to interpret from Bitcoin only Financial value, as well as a social mechanism that belongs to the future world's transparency, truly achieve fairness and transparency, and let the blockchain enter everyone's life.

Someday bitcoin will actually be used for SoV/payments and not just solely for speculation — but I definitely don't think it's in 2023. If anything, it'll probably take more than a decade.
I think it will take longer, because Bitcoin can still be mined for 100 years, and we are fortunate to witness the birth of BTC. I think stability must be established on more user groups, which requires more time.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: January 02, 2023, 07:10:57 AM
I was very lucky to see this post. There are several places near my home where BTC can be exchanged for US dollars. There were none last year. I think this is the process of the encryption industry that happened around me.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 29, 2022, 04:04:12 AM
In 2019, I was fascinated by Bitcoin after I was introduced to it. I have been following the attitude of governments towards bitcoin and hope it will be promoted. However there has been too much negative news in the past two years. I reacquaint myself with bitcoin and fiat money.

Money is a tool for exchanging goods and services in human social life, and whichever tool makes it into the system becomes the de facto currency. Governments regulate the economy by issuing money, which means they can control it. Bitcoin, on the other hand, cannot be controlled, which is why we like it, but also why governments don't like it.

After I figured it out, I no longer expect Bitcoin to be recognized by the state, and it doesn't need to be. It is part of a special asset, not a currency.
So I don't think Bitcoin is going to become a fiat currency.

World currency? I think that the function of Bitcoin is not limited to currency. This idea is too narrow. Because of the emergence of Bitcoin, many derivatives have been derived. These derivatives are slowly changing the new financial order of the world and become It doesn't matter if it doesn't become a world currency.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: December 29, 2022, 03:57:36 AM
Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?

These coins you mentioned no one can can be dead because these coins have a strong potential and it's price dump due to market bearish that's why some people think that altcoins dead and those people don't have any crypto knowledge.

True that those ones listed there are quite useful. But if you take a good look at the altcoin community you'll see that it's now full of craps each day a new project is been developed and they all use the same pattern.
No new idea, nothing new just same old craps promising investors thing that they can never implement.
It is easier to produce high-quality projects in a bear market. Those that can stand out in a bear market must be hot projects in a bull market. I have been paying attention to the altcoin sector.
Wait for the dark horse to appear.

Looking at the current market situation you may think that crypto or alt coins are dead but now the market situation is so bad with the price of btc not wanting to take any project risk because now they bring new projects and release new tokens in the market and there  Liquidity is given very little by BNP and they are not getting courage to get price and price of BNP so they are not getting the prescribed liquidity and it seems that alt coins are dead
The bear market is like this. Everyone’s mood is very low. When it is reflected in the market, it must be a downturn. In addition, the force majeure factors of the epidemic are all negative energy. The bull market takes time, and there is a good opportunity. We need to respect the basic market cycle , Reserve some bitcoins in a bear market, sell a little in a bull market, and do some asset allocation of altcoins yourself. If you buy in a bull market, it will be too late.

What can survive depends on whether it can really be the infrastructure of the encryption industry, and whether its functions are just needed in the current encryption industry. As long as there are application scenarios, it will not disappear.

I think it must be sushi, ups and downs, back and forth by capital to play, no belief at all, no bottom line to cut leeks.

May I ask whether your message like this is to appeal to everyone to protect the earth's environment, or to take the news of the death of human life as a form of entertainment.

Of course, I choose the Internet. Even in the library, it is difficult to guarantee that the information you see is true. In addition, the Internet can help you find what you want more quickly.

Why not? You can use VPN easily browse the web pages you want to know when you are on another international business trip. As long as the use is not in the law, I support the use of VPN.
18  Other / Off-topic / The chances of retail investors making money are getting smaller and smaller on: September 15, 2021, 06:52:03 AM
Cryptocurrency surges and slumps to kill contracts, shocks sideways to kill retail investors, and the chances of retail investors making money are getting smaller and smaller.
