721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seeds of distrust on: August 18, 2012, 07:48:36 PM
If you claim something big, have the balls to back it. Only Vandroiy had the balls to do it unlike the rest of the fear-mongers, who acted like a bunch of cowards. Guys like Micon or Vladimir were only insulting people and spreading shit.

There are only two kinds of people "invest" into ponzi:

1. Suckers, who do not get it.
2. Scammers (fraudsters), who want to "get in early" and liberate money off of suckers.

There are no other options. Now note how many of self-confessed scammers (as per above classification) are on bitcointalk.

723  Economy / Lending / Re: BitcoinMax Account For Sale (1600+ BTC) on: August 18, 2012, 05:31:42 PM
risk/reward of 3 BTC offer seems to be quite good.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seeds of distrust on: August 18, 2012, 02:13:55 PM
Destructive people like Vadroiy, Micon, Mage, etc must be really proud about the level of distrust they have brought to this community.
[more BS skipped...]

Destructive? Destructive of what exactly? I would say they are wise (to some degree), not destructive.

Now, dear aq, given this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=29031;sa=showPosts disclose your exposure to the pirate's op.

Anyway, it is too late, most likely. Just wait to find out the fate of whatever interest you had in that operation.

725  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what if Pirate does not pay back, he has a full weekend to dump... on: August 18, 2012, 01:56:57 PM
The good thing is that we all likely will know rather soon.

In best case scenario I've been completely wrong about all of this all the time, I sincerely hope to be wrong, however unlikely that is.
I'm glad you've said that because the amount of vitriol that has been spread on this forum recently has suggested that some people actually want this to be a ponzi - if only to be right.

They do.  A lot of people have shown their true colours throughout all this.   Sorry excuses for human beings, and they can go jump as far as I'm concerned.

I, too, will be pushing pretty hard for some public apologies from these people should Pirate come through (not to me, I couldn't care less what these pricks think, but to pirate first and foremost and then everyone else they've been complete shits to for the past months).
So I take it you'll be making an apology if it turns out we were right all along?
Perhaps, not just apology but disgorgement of illegally/unethically obtained funds as well?

726  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what if Pirate does not pay back, he has a full weekend to dump... on: August 18, 2012, 10:58:17 AM
Just FYI - *Stealing* Bitcoins is not a crime. Not a single legal system anywhere is going to care about this.

Utter nonsense.

727  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what if Pirate does not pay back, he has a full weekend to dump... on: August 18, 2012, 10:47:38 AM
If it is a ponzi, which is a fraud, which is a process of liberating money from victims by deception, would one more lie make any difference? It does pacify the mob for one more week or so, however, and opens possibility for hacks, fires, scratched cd's, lost cold wallets, heart attacks, car accidents, whatever else.

The good thing is that we all likely will know rather soon.

In best case scenario I've been completely wrong about all of this all the time, I sincerely hope to be wrong, however unlikely that is.

728  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what if Pirate does not pay back, he has a full weekend to dump... on: August 18, 2012, 10:33:41 AM
Sure, that's a possibility.

It is just my best guess that he was cashing out to USD on ongoing basis some portion of incoming funds and it was even possibly the reason for unnatural bitcoin stability around 5$ mark.
729  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what if Pirate does not pay back, he has a full weekend to dump... on: August 18, 2012, 10:24:58 AM
I think, if, as I presume, he's been running a scam all along, he has already sold and withdrawn all the money he needs. The crash in the markets has been either a panic reaction from others

Makes sense, it is not some revelation, however. Obvious is obvious. If it is a fraud which it almost certainly is, the pirate has cashed out his booty long ago. Now let's see how suckers will react on realisation that their net worth is much smaller than they still think/hope/pray it is.

It is so funny to see how suckers and shills celebrate here: "Hooray Pirate sez he will return all the money soon!. It is now proven to be not ponzi..." What a bunch of dumb idiots!

We need shares of popcorn trading on GLBSE.
730  Economy / Lending / Re: Bryan Micon's List of BTC Ponzi Schemes that should not be listed as "Lending" on: August 17, 2012, 07:51:24 PM
Team Ponzi should all be labelled as such, (maybe a dumbass tag?) - That way we know not to believe the FUD they spout

Miracles first, apologies second.

731  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: August 17, 2012, 08:01:14 AM
told ya so

and it is just the beginning of the beginning.
732  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BullShit Trust. It is the beginning of the end. on: August 17, 2012, 07:56:11 AM
Vlad, you're a dick.    That is all, continue with your nonsense.

When heard from you, shill, this is a great compliment.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=50329;sa=showPosts if anyone has any doubts.

@vbcof: indeed, if it not in your wallet you do not own it. Get used to it folks. It is the Bitcoin way.

733  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: How to Identify a Ponzi on: August 17, 2012, 07:13:07 AM
- Pass-through schemes are not ponzis ... they are very upfront about what they do. (That is, unless their issuer has a separate intention of disappearing/defaulting ... but if Pirate defaults, they are not Ponzis).

 - Insured accounts are most likely not ponzis (some are less likely than others).

If BullShit & Trust, is a ponzi: PPT's are effectively all ponzies as well.

Wrong.

The definition of Ponzi include lying to your cusotmers. PPTs (I assume) don't lie.
Rather, they're being very open about their default conditions.

Proxy or no proxy, they are not Ponzis. If I invested with one of them and Pirate defaulted, I would be angry (+ press chargers) at Pirate, not at the one selling me the PPT.

Have you learned this little trick from Mavrodi?
734  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BullShit Trust. It is the beginning of the end. on: August 17, 2012, 07:08:02 AM
... How Bitcoin economy would react on "vaporation" of ~ 300 000 BTC or nearly 3% of all bitcoins out there?

Those bitcoins won't disappear. I imagine that they will all eventually be spent (or traded for $).

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Or maybe most of them already were traded for USD.

However, in greedy naive minds of many "depositors" these BTC still belong to them and counted against their "net worth" probably as well as anticipated "dividends". The default will be an event crystallising losses for those punters.
735  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BullShit Trust. It is the beginning of the end. on: August 17, 2012, 07:02:21 AM
Coins gone for three hours - THE PONZI IS COLLAPSING! THE END IS NIGH!

Perfectly logical.

Did you by chance notice a follow-up post, where I confirmed the receipt of my coins ?

I even asked VIA PM if it would be easier if I simply cancelled my withdrawal request, due to the time..... YET STILL NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM PIRATE BY WAY OF COMMUNICATION IN REGARDS TO ANY KIND OF TIME LINE OR DELAY THAT I MAY FACE....until I received this approx 5.5 hours after my initial request:

bitlane,
Your account has been closed.  Your funds will be sent to the withdraw address on file on Monday with the regularly scheduled interest payment.
-pirate

Wouldn't it have been JUST AS EASY to tell me where I stood on his so-called queue ? ...... HE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH A LIFE.

He just bought himself 3-4 days.

736  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BullShit Trust. It is the beginning of the end. on: August 17, 2012, 02:31:28 AM
Um  so 3 hours delay is unacceptable... But 3 months delay for your magazine is just fine?

With ponzis it is not about delays, it is about exodus of marks.

And with magazines is about cross posting everywhere with silly sensational titles? Yellow press at best.

On this forum I represent myself only, unless I say specifically otherwise in some given post. Your stupid ad hominem attacks are transparent and clear.

737  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BullShit Trust. It is the beginning of the end. on: August 17, 2012, 02:19:33 AM

With ponzis it is not about delays, it is about exodus of marks. And it is exactly where I have pointed the link to, not to the original post.

...
How the fuck would I know what he was doing ? ......THAT GUY HIDES BETTER THAN WALDO and seems to answer and ignore what/when he chooses.
Perhaps he was working on the Dead Man's Switch......LMAO

Frankly, I am done defending a guy that couldn't give 2 fucking shits about me. EVERYONE IS FREE TO SAY WHAT THEY WANT.

I will end with this....now that I don't give a fuck.

Do you morons realize what a TRUST ACCOUNT is ?

IT'S SPLIT FUCKING LIABILITY.

I was going to close my account on August 20th anyways.....BRING IT ON.

BullShit Trust: It is the beginning of the end.

How innocent bystanders will be affected by this? How Bitcoin economy would react on "vaporation" of ~ 300 000 BTC or nearly 3% of all bitcoins out there?

I would guess that most damage has already been done and besides lots of stink, economic effects will be rather mild. Plus we will get lots of "bad" publicity. How exactly it will all unravel remains to be seen, however.

739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jonathan Ryan Owens locked Rebate, Zip.A, Alberto & BDT thread on: August 17, 2012, 01:28:31 AM
Perhaps without disclosing any details you can just tell us your conclusions on the matter. Some of us only want to know tl;dr from someone they trust, without wasting any time on any details.
740  Economy / Securities / Re: Be careful of low rep GLBSE issuers. on: August 17, 2012, 01:24:05 AM
Beware of highly respected members of this board even more than noobs. History shows that this board affords a lot of respect to high profile scammers. The larger the scam the higher "respect" and "fucking respect" their operators have commanded at the time right before those scams unravelling.
