Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to remove money from a receiving address (based on label) and redirect it to another labelled address, using the blockchain.info merchant api  (http://blockchain.info/mywallet_api).

There doesn't seem to be, so how could I keep track of balance within any given label? Which addresses would sending come from?

If that's not possible to track or do, what services could you recommend which CAN do this? I'm essentially looking for a secure, online wallet service with a full API which allows you to do essentially everything the bitcoin rpc can do.

EDIT: Some additional info: It seems as though you can do that manually on blockchain, so why can't you do it via the API? Did they simply forget to document it?

Is it possible to sell Bitcoins on an exchange which then transfers your money to a PayPal account? I'd like to avoid using a bank account for this. MtGox doesn't seem to support paypal...

I'm going to avoid selling without an exchange website so I don't get scammed.

All I want to do is convert BTC to dollars in a paypal account, not the other way. Will PayPal block my account if I am doing this?

Presumably I'd need to interact with a wallet.dat file. The basic flow of events would be as such:

User pays bitcoins to the server. Server can see how many bitcoins user paid. Server pays another user or the original user an amount of bitcoins.

The server needs to be able to do those three actions solely from php.

EDIT: I've read the "lazy api" stuff on the wiki, none of that is desired or possible because they depend on trusting outside services to be reliable.

I've got a site set up on shared hosting, pretty standard stuff with cPanel and the works. Naturally my host doesn't allow me any process control, and would certainly not take kindly to my attempting to run bitcoin.exe on the server.

Is there any sort of api which can run without the bitcoin daemon? All I need in the are ways to check how many coins are in a given wallet, how many coins were sent from a particular address TO that given wallet, and a way to send bitcoins to any wallet (not owned by me necessarily)

Can someone point me in the right direction here? I do understand that I could run the daemon on a home computer but that's really not optimal, and it's too much effort to purchase and configure a vps for this. Surely there's some purely PHP api for this?

I should also point out that my host has limitations in place which will auto-suspend my account should my cpu usage be too high, so this cannot be too intensive for my server.

1 mhash/s on one core of an inspiron 1520 laptop....I see you all complaining about 200mhash/s or even 100, and I die a little bit inside. The laptop's four years old, and for some reason I can't run any mining clients on my macbook

Pretty slow unfortunately, 1.2 mhashes/second. This laptop is four years old. I don't really expect anything super fast, but it'd be nice to know approximately how long it will take. And with slushes pool, how much will the payout for one share be?

Hmm, after letting it sit on puddinpop's cpu miner for a while with slush, the "connection problems" error goes away and I am seeing an mhash speed finally. How long until I finish a share, approximately?

I'm running cuda miner (I've an NVidia card) and have tried connecting to both mining.bitcoin.cz and api2.bitcoin.cz, but the client is always stuck on "connecting" for the speed.

I've left it like this for a couple hours and it's still stuck on connecting, I've already got a full set of blocks in Bitcoin itself...what can I do to fix it?

If I try to switch to RPCMiner's CPU client, it just says "Connection problems" regardless of which URL I try. I've checked my firewall settings multiple times, to no avail...

What's the point of purchasing bitcoins? Most places that accept bitcoins as payment also seem to accept standard currencies as well.

So then, how does each miner know what it should check? Surely there'd be a useless overlap. And "noncespace" is a cool word, mind if I borrow it?

Most miners generate nonces entirely at random, if I am not mistaken. That's inherently flawed, there are much better ways to generate a "low" hash value.

I understand the concept of bitcoins fully. I might try to start my own mining pool perhaps, if I could ever get this mining client working. I've some ideas about nonce generation which may allow my pool to generate bitcoins faster than other pools, thereby increasing the payouts and boosting the popularity of my pool.

I really like the technical side of the bitcoin more than the practical side, it's quite an intelligent system.
