Yeah it seems that moneypot is going to its end of story. Obviously it is very unfortunate if moneypot is going to dead as it was very good place for investors and gambling site's owner who have limited bankroll. On other hand, I see Bit-Exo is the only moneypot (will be "Ex") app that keep on growing although the condition on moneypot is not good this year.
Hopefully Bit-Exo will be much more better next year, and I have to agree that ex moneypot investors may come to Bit-exo to invest their money.
Thats actually far from true. It is somewhat of a slow process because of the complexity of our application but the project has not been abandoned. Over the last year we have focused primarily on API endpoints and our developer portal. And actually, we just re-enabled app registration today. But this is Exo's thread, so I will not hijack it more than I already have. |

What I do know they have some big bankroll but to be dropped from that high to only 0.0025 as their max sure can't change anything in the future, unless they fund their own bankroll instead of staying with moneypot. If they can't increase their bankroll there will be no players around so by holding the bxo token would be a pointless thing although you holding some of that

nope. bcause theres a few hundred nodes(10%) that were not core 0.14-0.16.2 even before 24 hours ago...
meaning if 90% were 0.14-0.16.2 now with 10% of those are now 0.16.3 thats only 80% that are stil 0.14-0.16.3
My apologizes, did not realize you were only counting .14+ nodes. Anyway, all the nodes that I personally manage have been updated within the last 24. I suspect by the end of the week we will see about 30-40% of nodes upgraded. Outside of backing up data and verifying the packages, upgrading took less than 5 minutes and could be as simple as upgrading the PPA package if using ubuntu. I agree with you on your decentralization points. -- The bug is patched already. Users just need to upgrade to the 0.16.3 version and even if they don't immediately, their coins are not in risks.
It' not the type of bug that put Bitcoin core at risk, nor the market will be influenced from this news.
You are correct as it is patched. The point was that only 10% of the network is using the upgraded binary putting the rest of it at risk. While extremely unlikely, it is entirely possible the network could be at risk for a 51% attack and the price being brought down. |

10% upgrading in just 24 hrs is pretty good in my opinion. Especially the precautions that wallet operators must take when upgrading (Backing up, testing, etc). Also, do you mean 90%? |

The bug found basically allows a malicious node to flood a bitcoin core node and crash it. As this is a peer based attack, your wallet would remain safe and all funds protected.
I am not familiar with the repercussions of the attack, but I am assuming they mean crash as in it is recoverable. With that being said, most large scale node operators have implemented provisions that would restart the software in the event of a crash, and also have implemented proper firewall and security rules to ban any malicious attacker way before this exploit was discovered.
With a large scale attack it is very likely that the market could be affected but the chances are very marginal and the price would most likely recover very shortly.
With that being said, this isn't the only DDOS based wallet attack out there and more will be discovered. There will always be vulnerabilities in software.

It saves my data if I don't have to keep loading an image every time I got to this forum (at the top in my profile).
I doubt that the image will have too much of an impact on your data plan. Also, browsers utilize caching unless you are browsing via TOR or something. |

Nice list and tool. Merit has definitely stalled the growth of member rankings in my opinion and has helped combat spam to some regard. Still I find myself a bit frustrated as I was one post away from becoming a Hero member when merit was introduced but instead given a merit requirement as if my account was new to the Sr Member rank.

Sorry to budge in here but do I see a mention of gift cards? Where do I see this option because I'd love for a way to buy Bitcoin gift cards (I assume this is like Visa type pre-loaded ones you can use anywhere). I have a problem also with country like the user above. Anything that can be used on Amazon and ebay are popular, so you would get more buyers I'm sure.
