201  Other / Meta / Re: Partial plagiarism in bounty program on: July 19, 2019, 06:11:01 AM
Partial plagiarism in bounty program .

I think that a bounty program still admits partial plagiarism, since the answers are mainly based on a template.
Partial Plagiarism: When a person combines data from two or three different sources in his work, it amounts to partial plagiarism. This kind of plagiarism pertains to copying someone else's work, not fully, but partly.
is that what you mean by partial plagiarism?
if the answers came from another source, you should quote/cite it
when you make it look like your own idea or work, it is simply a plagiarism whether full or partial

furthermore, your account Jack_Daniels was banned for ban evasion
you can read Xal0lex and YOSHIE posts above for all proofs
202  Economy / Services / [CLOSED]Do not miss the chance to get a reward for testing new mode of [banned mixer] on: July 19, 2019, 05:29:37 AM
@MixTum_Bitcoin_Mixer you should add a tag [CLOSED] in the title of the first post
and hopefully people are not too dumb to keep asking when they see that tag
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bittaddress.org brainwallet passphrase is NOT sha256 on: July 18, 2019, 11:57:59 PM
private keys generated by both for same phrase iBTCs different WHY??
they are the same, you are just looking at different private key formats
the one you get from bitaddress is a standard WIF (Wallet Import Format) private key,
as the name suggested, this is commonly used for importing privkey-address pair into a wallet
the plain SHA256 gives you a HEX (HEXadecimal) private key
this can be used to import too, but I think not many wallets support importing this format

Besides private Key provided by bitaddress.org uses Base58 format, not Hexadecimal which used by SHA-256 output.
OP can enter the WIF privkey in the "Wallet Details" tab on bitaddress.org to view all details
it will show all equivalent privkeys in different "Key Formats: WIF, WIFC, HEX, B64, B6, MINI, BIP38"
we can see the AA2D3C4A4A... HEX privkey listed second from the bottom Wink Cool
204  Other / Meta / Re: Grandfathered Rep on: July 18, 2019, 11:21:14 PM
noone neg trusting you for spamming, Vod left neutral feedback trust
there is a negative feedback but it's coming from kokofromdablock who is not in DT list
so it doesn't count to or affect your overall trust rating
205  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] account kirreev070 on: July 18, 2019, 08:09:39 PM
I looked at the history of messages kirreev070 and did not find anything wrong.
Так дело в том, что это не единичный случай. Я нашёл у вас 5 постов с плагиатом. Могу выложить в вашей теме в Meta, если хотите.
 ~~translated~~
So the fact is that this is not an isolated case. I found you have 5 posts with plagiarism. I can put in your topic in Meta, if you want.
xal0lex posted his findings in the thread I quoted above
scroll down a bit in that thread, post #10, to see the 5 plagiarised posts

It is clear that this does not justify the case of plagiarism, but I think that kirreev070 can be given a second chance.
if it was a single post of plagiarism maybe he can get away with only a temp ban
but he has several plagiarised posts, that means he did it conciously and repeatedly
206  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multisig Wallets on: July 18, 2019, 01:01:54 PM
which security concern? a single point of attack?
well, multisig wallet requires more than one private key to sign a transaction
if one part of your multisig wallet gets compromised, you won't immediately lose your coins
the thief needs to have access to the other cosigner key(s) to steal your coins
so it does add extra security to your wallet, think of it like a 2FA on your exchange account Wink
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Bomb Token, Runescape Partyhats and Rubber Turkeys — A Game of Scarcity & Desire on: July 17, 2019, 11:59:09 PM
What makes a good store-of-value in your opinion? I would like to hear what you think.
whatever item that has limited quantity, difficult to produce/obtain and desirable by many people
it can be intangible but tangible items are more common and make sense in today's society
208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [HELP] Spend Bitcoin on Deterministic wallet [Particular Address only] on: July 17, 2019, 11:28:44 PM
You mean just like this on electrum? I didn't see the "spend" when I right clicked, (it's maybe because the balance is 0?  Huh)
it's called coin control means to control which coin to use in a transaction, you don't choose address(es)
if you want to send coins from a specific address, it has to have available unspent coins (utxo)
you can't use utxo from an address and spend it (to look like) from another address on your wallet
209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is going here someone can explain to me pls guys on: July 17, 2019, 10:59:52 PM
with answer like this we will never get anywhere and its NOT about emotions its about US do you get it...
with posts full of random statements like yours, a discussion will never take place
try to arrange your words/sentences properly to express yourself clearly
so others can understand what you are stating or asking in your posts
then people can relate, response and answer appropriately to the topic
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting ready to buy! on: July 17, 2019, 03:29:28 PM
Just buy a little bit with your money, let say 10-20% for now. If bitcoin price dropped again, buy it again with another 20-30%, if the price going up/reached your goal, congrats.
yes I agree. when in doubt, buying with certain % of available capital is a good option
so you won't miss the opportunity to gain profit when it goes up
or you can still buy more to average down if needed Cheesy

Its forming another Leg down for me, Typically creating a slight smaller similar wave image at 1D from the previous December 2017 Chart
there's a possibility to go down to around ~$8k, can you pull up other indicators?
having two or three indicators would be preferable to determine the correct/strong signal
211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Significant Decimal Precision on: July 16, 2019, 11:58:54 PM
So there isn't enough USD for bitcoin to reach this value. Usd would need to devaluate through inflation for that to happen (I guess)
there is no need to have enough USD because bitcoin is not pegged to USD
bitcoin is not like USDT,  each USDT is tied to a $1 US so it needs to be backed up by US$ (slightly changed now)
bitcoin has never been pegged to $ but has value in $ or any other fiat money
and imo to become a good solid currency, bitcoin doesn't need to be pegged to other currencies at all
212  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk setting query on: July 15, 2019, 10:52:21 PM
I think he wants to sort replies within a thread based on merit counts
so he can read only the good answers/replies without having to go through the whole thread
afaik, the forum doesn't have features or settings for such capabilities
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be mad if satoshi sold all coins they own right now? on: July 15, 2019, 06:12:35 PM
no and noone should be mad, those are his coins and he has right to sell them

All people will be damaged who invested any money in this market.
the price drop won't last long, I believe it would quickly rise back to normal
in fact it would confirm satoshi existence and a good way to re-distribute bitcoin
214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Orphaned Block? How can I recover my coins if I end up in Orphaned Block? on: July 15, 2019, 11:16:16 AM
Can I recover my coins when I end up in an Orphaned block?
there's nothing to worry about occasional orphaned blocks
you don't have to do anything to recover your coins
your transaction stays in mempool and will be confirmed in the next block
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Import address From Cash App to Blockchain wallet. Result Non-spendable fund on: July 15, 2019, 12:56:05 AM
The 0.06 i deposited to cash app in order to sell it and I used cash app for convenience and low fees. Withdraw never cost and its instantly.
What happened was despite it confirmed on blockchain and indeed the cash app noticed the initial deposit also, it just never show on my balance.
is address 1GG54UR5... your deposit address in cashapp?
where do you see "cashapp noticed your deposit", any further notification update on it
did you follow the Deposit Bitcoin instructions on the site?
216  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Forum User Security ? on: July 14, 2019, 06:16:08 PM
I Think Better Choose Bitcoin Forum Rules Compulsory user KYC Needed for active forum
better in what sense? what improvements can be achieved by requiring KYC?
KYCustomer, being a member of a forum isn't the same thing as a customer
so based on what reason would the forum force KYC on its member, it just doesn't make sense
217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did i make or lose money on this trade? on: July 14, 2019, 06:18:51 AM
I think most altcoin traders are looking at P/L in terms of BTC. I certainly am. Everybody is trying to stack up as much BTC as they can. This is especially true for low cap altcoins which don't even have liquid fiat markets.
agree. so basically we can divide traders into 2 types: altcoins traders and bitcoin traders
altcoin traders will be trading altcoins to accumulate as much bitcoin as possible
bitcoin traders will be trading bitcoin to gain profit in $ or his national currency
but at the end, altcoin traders will also try to cash out his bitcoin at the highest price to gain even more profit
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading full time on: July 14, 2019, 05:29:29 AM
You earn 60k/year, the average American income
You work 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year - 250 days
60k/250 days = $240

When you break it down like that, replacing it becomes achievable in your mind. That mindset is way more important than the number above.

The second thing you need before you go full time is a solid plan.

That plan should include saving enough money to not have to stress about the day to day expenses.

It should also detail the minimum amount of profit you need to earn so that you can both live the lifestyle you want to live, and to keep growing your stack.

you are forgetting something, you can't make it to work without initial capital
if you're aiming for $240/day and assuming this is 1%/day profit (30%/month)
then you will be needing $24,000 as initial capital to achieve your daily target
if you do have that much fund ready and can make your plan to actually work out,
you still have to face the possibility of losing your profit and capital in the single event of deep crash

are you ready for all that risk vs profit situation?
be a full time trader with possible high income/profit that comes with considerably high risk
or just work full time, get a steady paycheck that you can save or place in a long term investment
219  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bip 39 seed only shows 1 adress on: July 13, 2019, 11:38:08 PM
Possible causes:
1. Gap limit. Electrum has a default gap limit of 25. If the other addresses are past this generation limit, Electrum won't see them until you force it to.
I think this is the most likely reason for OP's issue, @OP can you confirm?
I suspect OP reused his main receiving address, and change amount goes to change address
as many times he did this, new change address also created that many times
and possibly past 25+ addresses gap limit, so electrum not seeing the rest of his coin in that change address
220  Other / Meta / Re: Advertising on trust page on: July 13, 2019, 10:55:40 PM
This is not cool. Can someone remove advertisement spam from trust pages?
Well we know trust are not moderated.

By the way, I am blown away by the creativity LOL and good to learn this new form of advertising. 🤪

oh geez... this thread just raised people's awareness of this possibility
expect more newbies popping up and leaving trust on random accounts for such purpose Grin
then theymos is going to set minimum rank/merit Wink before one can leave a trust feedback
