EXCLUSIVE — RAND PAUL: OBAMATRADE TAX HIKES ON SMALL BUSINESSES MEAN REPUBLICANS SHOULD OPPOSE REVIVAL EFFORTS

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is calling on Republicans in the House—and the grassroots nationwide—to oppose efforts by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58%
to revive Obamatrade via a tax increase hidden inside the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) portion of the deal.

Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:

You know typically to pass these kinds of things, the establishment will try to buy off Democrats by sprinkling money so they have some money in there. To get the money, under our budget rules, we have to pay for it—so they want to pay for it with a fine on small businesses. But I thought a point that was made in the article which was pretty good is this is similar to the fines they wanted to do in Obamacare with 1099s and there was such an outcry it’s the only part of Obamacare we ever repealed. So I think when people discover they’re sticking a tax increase in there I think people will be even more unhappy.

Paul said he recommends all Republicans vote against TAA when Ryan and House GOP leadership bring it back up on Tuesday for an attempt to revive it after it embarrassingly failed 302-126 when they tried to pass TAA last week in the House. To send Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) to President Obama’s desk, TPA and TAA have to pass as a package. A bipartisan coalition formed to take down TAA last week, therefore temporarily killing Obamatrade as a whole—but House GOP leadership, at Ryan’s insistence, is going to try to change the game and pass TAA again on Tuesday despite the fact it raises taxes on small business.

Rand Paul has the highest rating (93%) of any Senator, except for Mike Lee.
However - the Conservative Review has played some dishonest games with the scoring.

Rand Paul took a hit for opposing the phony "Freedom Act" because in the opinion of CR, voting for it represented the best opportunity to reign in the Patriot Act. Apparently filibustering the Patriot Act causing it to expire, and forcing it to not get reauthorized at all isn't good enough for the Conservative Review!

Rand Paul's problem is that among my right leaning friends who saw the potential the Rand wasn't an anti military isolationist kook , he's been outed as a two faced fraud. IOW, he's managed to convince people with diametrically opposed foreign policy views that he can't be trusted.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: June 17, 2015, 05:04:59 PM
This is my first post. Please do respect

My post intention is to help readers to save their money.

Some of the employee are not saving their money. They spend it on things that they dont need. For example gadgets, buying a concert ticket, accesories, etc.Buying things that not they need is also like a wasting money. Because this thing give a happiness  not a good life. Saving money is just like securing your future because your savings can help you in emergencies. These are the way to save money .
If you are empolyee. You must save atleast 20% of your salary. The 20% of your salary divides into two .

The 1st way : cash reserves- medical insurance, retirement, life insurance  and if you not have salary yet. And emergency. But dont spend all of you 10% in this emergency. You must know if the injury is serious o not before you spend the 10%.
The cash reserves must equal of your 6 months salary this will help you and ensure you becauas of you loss your job you have extra money .

The 2nd way : investment, business- you can invest in some company so that you have a extra income. And you can also built a small business that will always have an income like apartment.

Example. My wage is $ 7.5 per hour and i work for 8 hours and i work for 20 days. So thar my salary is $1,160 . The 20% of $1,160 is $232 .
So that my cash reserves is $ 116 i can spend this money in emergencies and medical insurance.
If my 6 month salary is $6,960 i can stop my saving money in cash reserves.

Thank you .

Never purchase expensive items on impulse. Think over each expensive purchase for at least 24 hours. Acting on this principle will mean you have far fewer regrets about impulse purchases, and far more money for emergency savings.

Kick the ~Greece out from the EU .They lied to join the EZ , and they should not be trusted again with a Golden Credit Card again.

Eastern Europeans live on far less than they do.

A pensioner in Bulgaria gets half of what a Greek pensioner gets in Greece right now.

Have you seen the Bulgarians asking for more ? If the Bulgarians can live without borrowing money, so the Greeks can do.

Most of Eastern Europe are copying the Germans, no credit cards.

Phoenix, AZ — After seeing a decline in earnings for the first time in nine years, McDonald’s plans to do something no other store of its kind has ever done before; open a store run entirely by robots.

The store is set to open July 4th in Phoenix, Arizona once the state-of-the-art robot remodel is complete. The restaurant will still employee a small team to insure all of the robots are working correctly, the food along with the cleaning supplies remaining stocked and removing the money collected by the robots. If the test launch for the store is a success, visitors to the restaurant can soon expect to see these new robots working in harmony at a speed of 50 times faster than the average human employee, with no chance of error, located in every store all over the country.

The store’s new manager, Jay Funkhouser, told CNN that he has worked with the machines in a product development facility in San Francisco for over six months now and speaks highly of the robots.

“These things are great! They get their work done in a fast and orderly manner. And they don’t ask for cigarette breaks.”

They can't pee in your lemonade either...

I only have a question, will these robots be bilingual? Or speak different languages?

In 1971, when I was in high school, and making a $1.65 an hour, McDonald’s was considered a top notch job for teens that wanted to work, and could maintain decent grades at the sametime. Interestingly enough, when we were in school, and McDonald’s was open for business during the day, retirees who wanted to stay busy worked the shifts during school hours. During that same time in the history of the U.S., immigration was limited to those who could hold their own in this country, while high school students were taught a trade if they chose not to go to college or join the military.

Now fast forward to the “progressive” 21st century where foreigners that speak little or no English, head straight for the welfare and unemployment lines, and work in those jobs once held by high school students. They have no skills, they take money from our economy and ship it home to “their” countries (more than a few I’ve talked to have no interest in being U.S. citizens), and our education system has devalued a college education by telling everyone that they must go to college, which means that an AA or a BA really doesn’t mean much anymore to the point that employees with college degrees are only making 10.00 an hour. Now couple that with the losers that think they are entitled to 15.00 an hour for flipping burgers instead of gaining skills that justify a 15.00 an hour wage, along with liberals in political offices in cities such as Seattle and Los Angeles that force businesses to pay outrageous wages, and it does my heart good to see businesses, even businesses run by liberals push back and think outside the box to avoid paying 15.00 an hour for an ungrateful and unskilled loser that they hired.

Way to go Mickey D’s!

Odd part of the $15 per hour crowd is they complain they can’t affordrent and other expenses. Maybe the $15 crowd should quit smoking and buying smart phones. A pack of cigarettes costs as much as they make in an hour.

Machines are causing unemployment, but it will be a good thing. Human beings shouldn’t do that kind of soul killing and demeaning work. Humans should have free access to all the education they can use and we should build a bright future, get off this rock!

Wow, this is a great tutorial shorena! I think mods should sticky this, because every new user have to learn this basic thing before it's too late. I see a lot of users got hacked or lost password and they end up losing their account forever.

Police in Overton, Texas put the brakes on an illegal lemonade stand run by two little miscreants...sure is good to see my tax dollars at work and I'll sleep better tonight knowing the streets of Overton are safer now. What a crock...

Quote
Police in Texas shut down a lemonade stand run by two little girls. They said it was illegal.

Andria and Zoey Green told ABC affiliate KLTV they were trying to raise about $100 for a Father's Day present. They wanted to take him to Splash Kingdom.

They had been selling lemonade and kettle corn for an hour - and made about $25 - when officers showed up and told them they need a $150 permit to sell their lemonade.

Texas House Bill 970, or the Texas Baker's Bill, does not allow the sale of food that needs time or temperature control to prevent it from spoiling. Since lemonade needs to be refrigerated to prevent bacteria growth, police said they needed an inspection from the health department and a permit to sell it.

"It is a lemonade stand, but they also have a permit that they are required to get," Overton Police Chief Clyde Carter said.

"I think that's ridiculous. I think they're 7 and 8, and they're just trying to make money for their own cause," said Sandi Evans, the girls' mother.

Ridiculous or not, Overton police said it's the law and they'll keep enforcing it.

"We have to follow by the state health guidelines," said Carter. "They have to have a permit if they're going to do the lemonade stands."

The sisters plan to try again this weekend. Instead of selling their lemonade, they'll give it away for free and accept donations.

Meanwhile, Police Chief Clyde Carter said Overton police are just following the law: "We have to follow by the state health guidelines. They have to have a permit if they're going to do the lemonade stands."

Other states have similar laws.

In 2011 a group of kids who set up a lemonade stand outside the Congressional Country Club in Montgomery County, Maryland, were fined $500 for not having a vendor's permit.

Rand Paul is not like other potential presidential candidates.

The Kentucky senator, who announced his candidacy for the White House on Tuesday morning, doesn't fit neatly into the molds of either party.

Socially liberal on issues of crime and punishment — especially when it comes to drug sentencing — against a federal ban on same-sex marriage, and no foreign policy hawk, he's not your prototypical Republican.

As a fiscal conservative and an opponent of abortion rights, though, he's certainly no Democrat either.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme on: June 17, 2015, 06:19:41 AM

Bitcoin's breakthrough is to have a decentralized network of "miners" sit in between us instead. Now, remember, these miners are trying to win new Bitcoins by solving computationally-taxing math problems. The clever part, though, is that in the process of doing so, they also create a public ledger of every single Bitcoin transaction, what's called the blockchain. That includes every Bitcoin that's ever been won, every Bitcoin that's ever been used, and every Bitcoin that's ever been transferred. So now we don't need a bank to know that I have the money I'm sending to you, and that I'm only sending it to you. The miners confirm all this. And the best part is that instead of having to pay the bank myself to do this, the system pays the miners in new Bitcoins.

This article make me scared about bitcoin, now i withdraw some BTC and keep on my Bank, i believe bitcoin will be BIGGEST Technology, but in price we can see it, price is very down than last year (stabil 300$)

What do you think about this article ?

I love how journalists like this think they are smarter than people like Reid Hoffman, Richard Branson, Marc Andressen, Etc. Putting all the technicals aside, the author thinks all of these people are stupid enough to invest and sing praises of a ponzi or pyramid scheme.
