1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 07, 2014, 11:44:37 PM
hey Imjim...
I'm using slack for the XC channel (not for blocknet) and I view it with my phone or my computer.
The phone app always shows me when I login the last post but a link to "# messages since last visit" so I can always see what's going on. also when a channel, group or a name notification is happening I get a notice on my phone.
When I log in into my computer It always shows me the last post since the last visit...

No doubt, this is one of the BEST things about Slack is the mobile experience/application. I used it today while getting the car maintenance done and during my lunch meeting. Absolute wonderful experience and beats BCT, hands-down. Not even a discussion.

I just noticed MaiaCoin has FibreLock implemented in the wallet.

Do any other coins have this as well? Besides the Bitcoin Wallet you have released.

Hey ,we were contacted by many developers to implement FibreLock in their wallets.

FibreLock was implemented in MaiaCoin as it is Mammix coin who is helping Bobby with coding now

It will bring us more exposure and remember implementing doesn`t mean giving you source Wink

I would like to see FibreLock implemented in as many coins as possible Smiley

Cheers

Hopefully people are actually taking a look at this integration and like what they see and it's not too difficult to implement. It's these types of innovations that keep me excited about where FIBRE is heading.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for potential altcoins for german investors page: altcoin of the week on: December 05, 2014, 10:07:02 AM
unambiguously Fibre!!

I have been with FIBRE for a long time for a reason: stability of investment. But that is not the only reason I stay. With the tech that is coming out of this coin, one can honestly see a continuing cycle of deliverable's and that is key to sustaining coin growth in these markets. Always the devs and ops are available to answer questions and provide updates. You just don't see this too often with the other Tier 1 alts. Without a doubt, you will be hard pressed to find a better fit, but shop around just the same and stop by the FIBRE social outlets as provided herein. You will ultimately understand how this community is much different from all others. Cheer!

Thank you for the update. You guys are continuing to make forward progress and loving the stable nature of this coin. Amazing things you are doing. I thought the FibreLock for Bitcoin wallet was a pretty neat trick until I started to understand how this ZeroTrust stuff works. Going to be difficult for most not to get excited as this is a true first!!!

The Fibre channel on the Blocknet Slack is very active. More people should join in!

I'm expecting a ninja of fibre.slack.com at some point  Wink

SLACK is nifty.

What's more funny is you failing to realize what that was really making fun of.  lol

that's just the old ITO wallet. Nothing going on there. All the action has moved to:

LOL, I just love this photo. Speaks volumes. Can't stop laughing.

BUMP

The Blocknet Slack is now open for registration:

http://goo.gl/forms/UkViMl2fKn

As I have explained on the registration page, most registrations I will have to process manually. The only email domains I have been able to get Slack to approve for immediate signup and access are hushmail.com and roadrunner.com. If you are willing to signup using an email address from one of these domains, it would save me a considerable amount of time and that would be much appreciated but is certainly not required. I will be sure to process manual registrations at least once per day.

I have already processed the first 10 registrations and have sent invites to those people and they are beginning to trickle in.

I am also still in search of moderators. PM me for details, particularly if you are not affiliated with XC or FIBRE as members of those communities have already come forth.

OK, I like slack. Very nice and look forward to eliminating the insect problem. Block is already going up in price --nice results!!!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 03, 2014, 12:31:40 AM

OK, that's no problem. I'm just thinking you could buy 1000, sign up and then sell, which I guess is not an issue. If you are not professional and sincere with your actions, you can always be removed. I was just wondering why you would even require the block quote when you wouldn't really enforce those block be frozen after you signed up? I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get into an areas with like minded folks that wish only the best for this tech and to engage in healthy constructive conversation. I signed up on slack and it looks pretty cool.

I have a spreadsheet set up that allows the moderators to easily monitor balances of verified addresses.

Thus, if someone does as you say and buys 1000 tokens to get into the private group and then sells those tokens, I and the other moderators will notice and remove that person from the private group.

Works for me!

I would validate my blocknet address, but would not support sending additional funds to the ITO, which is what I think you mean, or do I set a new wallet some where with 1000 blocks I never touch?

No additional funds will be contributed to the ITO. That is not what I meant.

What I meant was that 1000 tokens at the time of the ITO would have been valued at approximately $100 USD. It was simply a means for comparison.

The process of verifying your ownership of 1000 tokens entails you opening your wallet, going to File-->Sign Message, filling out that form, and then providing the signature key that your wallet generates on the registration form that I will be posting soon.

The registration form will also contain a screenshot of the 'Sign Message' window so that you all will know exactly what to do.

OK, that's no problem. I'm just thinking you could buy 1000, sign up and then sell, which I guess is not an issue. If you are not professional and sincere with your actions, you can always be removed. Almost ready with the Slack here...recovering from the flu so it's taken a tad longer than I'd hoped.

I want to maintain a private group of verified holders of Blocknet tokens on Slack.

So I seek input as to what amount of tokens should be set as the barrier to entry.

1000 tokens has been proposed by a few XC supporters.

This would represent an approximate contribution of $100 USD to the ITO.

Now's your time to give your input!

I would validate my blocknet address, but would not support sending additional funds to the ITO, which is what I think you mean, or do I set a new wallet some where with 1000 blocks I never touch?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 02, 2014, 06:46:17 PM
We'll probably keep our presence on Bitcointalk limited to an announcements-only thread, and of course whatever unofficial discussions take place.

There are two core issues with keeping this thread open:
- it occupies an inordinate amount of our time to respond to/deal with/fend off trolls, shills, scammers, etc. and this takes away from development time.
- responding to FUD just propagates it. Therefore it's better that FUD doesn't come to exist in the first place.

I just use my ignore button. Seems to be working. Can we start there and just have them experience the good conversations without actually getting involved? They can continue to act like animals in a cage without getting in our way. If new folks come along, they will read back through and understand. Especially when things start popping. But slack does seem a lot better for real communication so you can just boot the agitators to the project.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 02, 2014, 05:36:53 PM
Don't you think, moving over to slack will just make their fud attempts find stronger ground? I mean we have successfully managed to raise the minimum ICO amount and also managed to stroll through bypassing all their fud/shill attempts.

Why not ride it out till the end? Once everything is finished & live, all these fudsters will just look like clowns to everyone across the crypto scene.

He does make a good point. If you give me the power, I know which trolls to remove immediately every time they post. I am connected 24x7 Smiley
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: December 01, 2014, 10:47:04 PM
what is slack? link?

The address will be theblocknet.slack.com.

There will be a registration form.

I am getting it set up right now. There are a few things I need to do first before it's ready.

In the meantime, visit slack.com and perhaps acquire yourselves a Slack app for your devices.

For those of you who have not used Slack yet, once registered you will have access to the BlockNET Slack 'team'. Within this 'team' will be a channel for each coin in BlockNET as well as other channels for random topics, trading, announcements, etc. We will need moderators for these channels.

I was thinking that maybe each coin in BlockNET could appoint a trusted supporter to help moderate.

We want this to be community-moderated.

Please post this in your respective coins' thread (I have to go now - later I will check and see if this has been posted in any other threads and, if not, do it myself) and PM me if interested in being a moderator.

Hang tight! It's almost ready.  Grin

Thanks man, growing tired of these shills and weeds growing in the other coin spaces because they see their market cap slowing being eroded.
~ Much appreciate and look forward to reading serious comments and questions on SLACK. Will you then just terminate this forum? Sounds like it would be for the best and let the coins just run their own as they have in the past. Not much is really being conversed here other than "wow this is bad and oh man you should come over here" -playground talk, yes?
I actually do get a kick reading some of their comments from the coins they have been associated to in the past and have got scammed (I think we all have, me included) so see their point to a certain degree. Most sound like they have butthurt from their other coins and taking a loss or dumping all the their block with nobody selling off and now stuck at the bottom.
I will continue to do my part in every way I can to be a part of the solution.
