Anyway they do not mine blocks or have rounds so they can't post this...

related,  ABC pervz, would the control of gigaminer please contact me. If you don't I will just post the data here...

Are you accusing abcpool.co of using others hashing power to pool hop? Do you have evidence of this?

Remember a while back in this thread ?

&

Well...confirmed.

The fact that the operators of this pool have not responded to those comments is cause for concern, at least for me.  Looking forward to getting some resolution soon. You can say that I am being paid for my hashes at the agreed upon rate, but I assumed (and shame on me I guess for assuming) that my hashes were used to find a block for this pool, not forwarded for use to other pools.

lodcrappo,

upping the init delay to 60 did the trick!

Thanks!
808  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT - Easy persistent USB key based linux for dedicated miners/mining farms on: January 22, 2012, 06:36:30 PM
Have just setup BAMT on a rig. Works great except for one thing.
Mining doesn't start up on a bootup.  I have to type in /etc/init.d/mine restart after a boot.
Shouldn't mining start up automajically?

Yes, it should.  what is showing in the mining screen sessions after a boot up, or do they even exist yet?

Sorry.. linux newb.  Where would I see or find those screen sessions?
I have seen a message that states ""Starting mining processes...: mineNo protocol specified"

But a restart starts the miners fine, so I believe my bamt.conf and pools are correct.

There are some time delays in the init process that are there to let X get started and ready before the GPUs fire off.  If your system just takes longer to get X running than the default delay, then the miners are starting too soon and will fail.

To see if that is what is happening, try adjusting these to be longer:

  # at boot, how long to wait for X to start (seconds)
  start_mining_init_delay: 20

  # delay in between starting individual GPUs (seconds)
  start_mining_miner_delay: 3

Maybe try 60 seconds on the  start_mining_init_delay just to be sure, and if that fixes it then reduce until it breaks again.

I'll try to up the init_delay to 60 and post a result.

Thanks!

And what happens when the people you are selling access to, do something illegal with YOUR internet access?

Who will be tracked down and made to pay?

811  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER miner overclock monitor fanspeed RPC in C linux/windows/osx 2.1.2 on: January 19, 2012, 11:19:37 PM
I just setup BAMT on this thing, just to try something else.
Works fine. All 4 cards are seen and mine properly.

I'll have to see if i can fit teamviewer on this USB key along with BAMT.

*shrug*

"ADL found more devices than opencl"

Getting this error trying to use cgminer on a rig with anything more than 1 GPU.
Cgminer starts and uses only 1 GPU.

Other software apps like Trixx and Afterburner see 4 GPUs.  4 GPUs show up in Device Manager.

I've reinstalled OS, drivers, reseated cards, to no avail.

Any suggestions or hints?

Much appreciated.

Windows box.

Well, useful information would be helpful.

Things like...
How many and what kind of cards are actually installed...
Version numbers...
Hardware specs...

It doesn't matter what cards I try to use.  5830s, 5850s, 6950s.  They all do the same thing.  Cards are fine.  Tried in other working rigs no problem.
It doesn't matter how many cards I try to install as long as there is more than 1. 2 cards does this, 3 cards, and also 4 cards.
Version numbers of what? cgminer?  I don't recall all the versions I've tried, but I've tried 1.6.1, 2.0.0, 2.0.8, 2.1.1 for sure.
drivers? have installed 11.6, 11.10, 11.11, and 11.12
Hardware specs on the rig? Biostar A870U3, Sempron 145, 2G ram.

"ADL found more devices than opencl"

I have this same error and have no idea how to correct this. Running a windows box.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.msg702451#msg702451

Tried 11.6, 11.10, 11.11, 11.12
No love, same problem.

gotta love pool ops that tell other people what they should or should not do....

A1BITCOINPOOL, I'll point 1 or 2 rigs your way and see how it goes...

Wonder if this can be adapted to work with the new cgminer which is rpc capable
817  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Request for an RPC capable fork of cgminer (100 BTC pledged so far) on: December 31, 2011, 03:43:52 AM
Theres so many projects that I want to help out!  Bitcoiners are still coming up with great ideas.

I'll pledge 10 BTC.  I'll pledge 5 more if I ckolivas pulls the code into his main branch (even if he codes it).  I think this would help us by keeping bugs to a minimum.  Multiple versions of cgminer are sure to only complicate things and slow features down.
agree +1.

add 15BTC by me if it will be mainline.

I think we should provide him 1 week to either comment or pay up.  Otherwise he should be treated as something of a scammer. I take pledging BTC for development work as a contract.

Bounty sent.  2 transactions
#1 - 3.89465464
#2 - 6.10534536

Thanks kano!

Looking forward to future apps using this new feature of cgminer.  The android phone control is exactly what I was thinking!

Anyone running this on windows?  What are you using to serve the miner.php?

kano,

I'm going to start installing this on a few of my rigs.  I should have some feedback for you soon Smiley
