Maybe some newbie accounts or some reverse monero supporter shills should stop acting like the XMR Community opened these threads.... look at the XMR Ann thread and at the Monero Speculation Thread for those that are supporters ... i guarentee that you will not find anybody besides TC, icebreaker and maybe generalizethis...
This thread with another Newbie Account is just another sign some one has an agenda... wish there were IP Bans to stop most of Sock-Puppets at once...

I agree with the general idea behind icebreakers post. Monero isn't ready for a widespread marketing push yet.
However, I have no problem with making it easily accessible to those with technical know-how and an interest in learning, but merely lack English as their primary language. To that end, let's keep up with the translations in addition to the core dev work that is already underway.
there are windows users who might have the technical know-how in general.... but compiling yourself is another story... lacking english is not the problem... just give everythign its time and dont over hesitate |

I myself feel annoyed by your over bullish ..... rub it into everyones eyes... if you have an interest in monero rising... do it like and adult and not like some shild "zomg monero best coin ever it will surpas btc and all other coins for sure".... people are grown up enough to do research on their own and make their decisions if they like Monero or not...

I am buying it but it is important to let the other people to buy it as well..
I do not want this to be only our coin but we want to embrace a lot of new adoption.
The site should be marketed (or spammed if you do not want to be politically correct) right (perhaps some google ads? send hints to mainstream media, get articles to big news papers - that could lead even a news story on TV - who knows).
One step after the other... let us first have a proper stable product before anything else. You see, there might be some "wannabe early adopters" who want to buy a coin when it is still at its infant state - and they are discouraged to buy the coin once it is a finished product. Now Monero can be marketed as a great potential as it is not ready yet. Once it is ready, then it is time to look for larger investments (like millions of usd in one shot), then the mainstream (whatever market share it means). I disagree with you ... that kind of people would have had more than a year now to find about Monero. Itīs not like this was some 1 week PoS Coin. If you want to market or "spam" do it outside of BCT where no one has heard of it or even BTC. Bullish is good... but rubbing it into everyones face in every post is just annoying... Has anyone else noticed that everytime another alt does well in market price, or releases new, exciting features, - loads of spammy new Monero threads are started and old Monero self-moderated threads are bumped? Especially if the coin has anonymous features or is, Golly Gosh!, a cryptonote. Threads like;
monero at $20  ??

That is, as well as the black-ops fud and propaganda campaigns. too bad its most likely troll accounts who at first sight look supportish but you can clearly see an agenda with all popping out at once. Or super bullish people like TC or icebreaker... i donīt see the casual monero supporter doing such things... |

What would you sell a new friend then? Nothing, that's an easy way to make a New Friend into a New enemy. I do tell old friends about opportunities though. This! Selling is the wrong word though... IMO you can tell them what your doing with some fascination... but thats it... if they are really interested they will research themself or bugger you... Itīs a difference if you try to sell sth or if there is genuine interest. |

I have seen reports forever that XMR would be added but it never happens Might as well contact bitfinex too. They added DASH so maybe they will consider us if enough people ask support@bitfinex.comMore exchanges makes it easier to attract new users. BTC38 in particular will be helpful in China. Please contact them frequently to remind them about our desire to trade XMR on their exchange. Long term I would love to see XMR on the major Chinese exchanges like OK Coin (just BTC and LTC now) but we need to take things one step at a time. @cryptsy Horus and some other staff member of Cryptsy confirmed that XMR should be added... but first they do a revamp as far as i understood ( guess they have to change their infrastructure to be able to add it ) no ETA afaik. @finex They did not add it because everyone asked but Otoh of Dash community has some RL connections to someone in the leading position there @bter why should people move their after their hacks or whatever it was when polo runs smoothly besides the KYC... you dont see much volume on bittrex either |
