201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: January 03, 2020, 01:19:29 PM
Money is already going digital. Many central banks and governments are creating their own digital versions of FIAT, PRIMARILY to keep tabs on everyone and easier to tax as well. It's up to us through the lay people to want to convert our economic prowess to decentralized crypto and to want to use and adapt to it, which will make the real difference. We need to educate our friends and family on growing Bitcoin and other good crypto reserves. If we all got 5 people each year to say put 2% of their money into crypto, we would moon in 5 years from now. Unfortunately, too many of us are lazy and not motivated enough to make this happen, that's our drawback and others are just interested to rip the rest of us off with scams.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea untaxing Investor's Profits on: January 03, 2020, 12:12:30 PM
I personally believe that once a modernized and legal structure is put into place, where everyone knows exactly what they are doing, people can then decide how and where to implement a crypto strategy as part of their investment portfolio. This is not just for the South Koreans, but for everyone residing in any country that is looking into this niche financial market. I think, either way, the South Koreans are deeply rooted into crypto and the Blockchain and I don't see them leaving it any time soon. Not unless there was some complete blanket ban on cryptos in their country. I think the South Koreans are quite relaxed with their legislation and most probably want to make sure they can abide by it and still profit.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think altcoins will be used for in the future. on: December 30, 2019, 10:20:23 PM
It all depends on how creative developers can get to bring real use cases to Crypto. We need strong teams that know what is needed in the market and what can make a difference. I think mostly cryptos will be used for payment gateway transactions, and if developers are clever to cash in on the remittance market, then that will be billions of dollars of use cases right there. For example, my husband is living abroad right now due to his job and he remitted me some funds. So instead of using western union which is frightfully inconvenient and expensive, he used Bitcoin, which saved us both hassle and fees. I think some good cryptos can take this role and get a chunk of this very important economic market. Especially in Africa and Asia where you have many people sending money to relatives back and forth.
204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: it's so hard trading my day now! on: December 30, 2019, 09:59:19 PM
You need a lot of patience and education and to have your hand on the pulse. If you are in crypto to trade to get rich quick, I don't want to disappoint you. If you can be cool, calm and calculated, you can win. A trader's mindset has to be emotionless, yet you should be winning your trades based on other's emotions of fear and greed. Another thing I learned is to always trade coins that you don't mind being lumbered within a slow period. That way you never feel you are a loser, only that you are waiting for the right time to take profits. These are little tips that have saved me in time of great crisis and difficulty and why I am still here, despite many setbacks due to my lack of knowledge of the markets in the past. Also don't be afraid to make mistakes and own them. Be always responsible for your own actions and don't blame others, failure is only for those who never have the guts to try and sometimes make mistakes.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: December 30, 2019, 09:55:11 PM
I think personally many altcoins will no longer do well, they will need to have exceptional development to attract new money into them and most developers and teams are either too greedy or just don't have the initiative it takes to make their projects attractive to newcomers and traditional investors alike. I look for coins that have strong leadership and also deflationary ones, where the supply is very attractive and use cases grow. I have invested now in one that already has seen a growth of x 3 since I bought and every month it goes up because profits from the company go every month to buy it back and burn it, so supply every month is getting less and less. Very few altcoins will make a big boom as 2017 is well and truly over with the advent of Bitcoin futures and Bitmex traders. Still, there is that hope for just one or two rare unicorns to surface and make a few more millionaires yet.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still a people's currency? on: December 30, 2019, 09:08:10 PM
I am not so sure anymore as many institutions and big whales have the biggest chunk of the Bitcoin Pie, but what it has unleashed I think is the hope for something different and more and more creativity has been born because of Bitcoin. Still, people can own Bitcoin and start with just a few sats and build from there. So technically yes, anyone can own Bitcoin and it is this that makes it so much better than FIAT, which is extremely centralized and also inflationary. I still feel it has a People'ish quality about it but most of it has gone into deep pockets. So it's up to the People again to start collecting it and transferring the wealth to them by buying it up as it is limited in supply. This is something very important that many people don't understand, that Bitcoin can be as disruptive as we want it to be.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you sell an altcoin right at the very bottom on: December 29, 2019, 09:07:01 PM
I really think selling at the bottom is not the best of trading skills, but then again when people sell at the bottom they never know if it is the bottom unless they are really good at technical analysis. Most ' traders' follow a herd type of mentality, so when there is fud they will dump without any real reasoning, the same goes for buying in with fomo and the pump. You really need to follow and study the project you are following very well to see if it has a lot of future potentials, so if it has you hodl tight and load up on the dumps, sell on the all-time highs, rinse and repeat on each retrace and make profits and grow a bigger bag. If I had known this in the last bear market I would have been rich, but I believe we always can be given a second chance. We need to educate ourselves well around the coin we are trading.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: December 29, 2019, 09:01:38 PM
I like does ideas but for me bounty hunting is the best way to get free crypto without investing and mining

Bounty is nice to freely get some crypto but is also best way to waste your time if it turns out as scam.

Airdrop for me happens to be a better means because it takes lesser or no time at all if you register.

I personally think a mix and match of both bounties and airdrops are good and I do both in my spare time when I can. You could also open a youtube channel and do things you like doing and have a tip jar in your channel for Bitcoin and your favorite cryptos. I am thinking later on to start my own music and culture/travel/ cooking channel and maybe just have a tip jar or open a Patreon account to get subscribers, so the money maybe I earn from that I can travel around and provide really funky content. That's something I would love to do in the future anyway. I think we need to spend more time on what we like doing and develop our talents and skills, then I believe naturally the income and money will come when you provide real value for others, a product or a service. There has to be both give and take in any relationship and that includes our relationship around crypto.
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: December 29, 2019, 08:56:32 PM
For myself personally, I don't trade on the job because I prefer to have my full concentration on when I trade. Of course, I may have orders in for a few days so that means technically I trade 24/7 if I have trades open for days or even weeks on end. I like to have a really calm mind when I trade so I think it's better to keep your day job and your personal trading separate so that way you make fewer mistakes. Of course, if your job is swing trading as a profession then you will be trading on the job and that's pretty cool. I think it would be nice to day trade as a profession but I would need to get super good at it. Right now I only spot trade a few of my favorite coins as a hobby and that's fine by me for now. I need the steady income of a day job right now so am happy with things as they are for now.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 29, 2019, 08:51:41 PM
The reason is plain and simple. There are just way too many people who want the lazy way to riches. Rather than learn a trade or skill themselves, they constantly fall prey to the scammers who promise them lazy and passive riches for doing nothing. There are very few legit programs or ways to make passive money nowadays, so I would be really wary of anything promising the sky and moon anymore. I also fell victim to a few nasty scams, so now I am more vigilant not to join scammy projects and really try to do thorough research first and I spend some time trading for myself as well. I think the best thing you can do is actually learn to trade yourself and look for a few projects or coins you can easily trade for profits. Don't fall prey to scams because you can't be bothered to do your homework first.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifting satoshis to future generations on: December 29, 2019, 08:09:38 PM
I am an oldie, a baby boomer actually and that is why I am more passionate about this technology than even some of the younger people who are kind of taking it too much for granted. I wish we had this tech breakthrough when I was young, my whole life could have been so different. It's an exciting time to be alive and this is also my plan. To leave different amounts of Bitcoin in wallets for all the babies and children in my family and also for others as well, and trying to educate more members of my family to hold and even use Bitcoin. My goal is to get Bitcoin knowledge and satoshi to at least 500 people before I leave this planet, then I won't feel my life here as being a waste. Knowledge and self-worth are the two great gifts we can give future generations and also the satoshis of course.  Smiley
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Find The True Value Of Bitcoin on: December 29, 2019, 08:05:25 PM
I think the true value or intrinsic value to be found in Bitcoin is in the technology itself, the Blockchain. If we are only looking for monetary value, this really isn't enough to determine it's true potential nor where it can go. If more adoption of the Blockchain happens, both in the public and private sectors, and more and worse practices like corruption are taken out, then more and more people will want to buy Bitcoin, store, it, use it as a payment currency, etc. We need to really see the use of Bitcoin reach critical mass, then we can get the best value out of it and also see a price rise again like we did n the early days. For now, we can speculate until we are blue in the face, but only time will tell and show its true value, over the next say five or ten years.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Recap for the year 2019 on: December 28, 2019, 08:57:08 PM
2019 WAS CRAP for me until I got a job in a good blockchain company two months or so ago. So now my life is much better and I am also doing some trading and a few better bounties. So I think the last two months of 2019 were the best, while the first ten months were a waste of my time because I was helping promote a company that has hardly done anything in the last year to progress. Many think it has scammed but I still hold some remote hope that they will get their act together and produce something. I have learned many lessons over the past two years through my mistakes and failures but am much more optimistic now for 2020 coming in as I am working with much better projects and also am a tad bit the wiser having made all the mistakes anyone could possibly make in this crypto space lol.
214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: December 28, 2019, 08:39:07 PM
There is one coin I would recommend to buy at the moment and hold it for six months, but also trade it, as there are many good arbitrage opportunities with this coin. It is EUREKA COIN from EUREKA NETWORK BLOCKCHAIN. Trade this coin daily/weekly/monthly, put half the profits in Bitcoin and grow the EUREKA bag with the other half of your profit. The company buys back and burns some of the supply of this coin regularly, which means supply is going down but more and more demand is growing for it, so the price will slowly go up every time it is burned and also day trading it you can grow your profit and capital as well. Remember this post a few months from now and if you turn that 50 into 5k USD, I will be very happy for you indeed.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 26, 2019, 10:44:16 PM
Well if they expect to steal electricity and mine for profit, they had it coming to them sorry. They should respect the law of the land and not be stealing energy that should be used for others who pay for it. I don't like this type of greed at all and this can give Bitcoin and Crypto a really bad name. I hate it when people want to make easy money through fraud and theft, it annoys me, because I and others work so hard just to make ends meet and do the right thing by our jurisdiction. So I don't feel sorry if they lost their mining equipment as they should think hard about their actions and the repercussions of those stupid actions. I really want them to learn though from the mistakes they made and hopefully they become better people and if they ever get to work again, work with honor and do things properly next time.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinsbit’s CEO resigns to Start his own Marketing Firm on: December 26, 2019, 10:37:38 PM
Well, I guess he may have brought Coinsbit as far as he could and decided to take on another challenge. It's not always about money, it could be that he preferred to take on a new role in order to test his own abilities and limits, and of course, it could be about some money gains as well. There are high caliber brains that like the constant stimulation, borderline with genius, that want to make waves in whatever sector they are in and to go forth and conquer. This Man could be one of those types with a pioneering outlook that just can't stay still in one place who thrives on challenges and change. I admire people who have the tenacity to move with the times and go with the flow. I am sure Coinsbit is going to have it's own bright path, with or without its former ICO. WE NEED NOT BE AFRAID OF CHANGE, BUT TO MOVE GRACEFULLY ALONG WITH IT.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sale my old bike and buy bitcoin, what do you think? on: December 26, 2019, 10:31:06 PM
Well, the value of your bike would most probably depreciate over time unless it's some vintage item, but if it's just a second-hand bike without much value, then it's best that you sold it for an asset that most probably over the next few years will yield you some ample profit. At the end of the day, you need to be confident in the investment decisions you make, even if they turn out to be the wrong ones. Try always to follow your intuition as it most likely is the right choice for you at the time. I would never just go by what others are doing, I will always make up my own mind. If you feel happy to have sold your old bike for Bitcoin, then that is the right decision you have made for yourself. I wish you good luck and hope that your Bitcoin bag will grow over time and bring you good fortune.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCARD]✅Spend Anywhere, Any Cryptocurrency, With Any Payment Card🔛💲💳✅ on: December 24, 2019, 10:03:41 AM
Looks like they are still in PRE ICO phase. I know the bounty ended but the main sale is still yet to happen I think. I really want this to succeed as I am hoping soon I will get my tokens. I should have around 13k tokens coming to me. They are worth around ten cents each in the Public sale. I really hope it will be listed on good exchanges, but apart from that, I would love to have one of the cards as the development side to me is of most importance and interest. The telegram group is a little bit quiet and I try to look at the news on Medium posts, but we haven't had one update for a while, so am hoping we get some good news soon covering this project and where we are going to be heading in the first quarter of 2020. Let's hope this is a project that will yield a good product and service to the overall community heading towards mass adoption over the next two years.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: December 24, 2019, 09:53:07 AM
I still collect some low cap coins but I do my due diligence now and I also day trade as well, so I can make profits and grow Bitcoin and some stable coins backed by gold. I have one project I have good faith in because of the diminishing supply and will also buy some coins that give dividends, like passive income. I am looking into Nexo token to earn two dividends annually. So there are a few very good projects but I have to agree, a lot of cryptos are 'shitcoinia', and best to avoid, or just day trade for profits, if they have enough liquidity to trade them. I am collecting a couple of bags though of two/three good projects that I do believe have humongous long term upside potential, but this time accumulating BTC on the dips as well, so I can hedge, and some stable coins that earn me interest as well. The bank gives me squat so I hardly have FIAT at all, I only have fiat for buying basic stuff, as I get paid in Bitcoin from my day job, so I just convert what I need to live on lol.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Millennials Are Netflix And Hodling on: December 24, 2019, 09:41:18 AM
I am a boomer and one of The generation X, so I think people in my generation who are more forward-thinking and risk-takers are very passionate about Bitcoin and the technological breakthroughs it has unleashed. If boomers like me get more involved, because we have suffered a lot and seen a lot, recession after recession, we also have more patience and staying power, which is what the Millenials can learn from us oldies. I have seen so many younglings come and go in Crypto because they never became rich in the first year, or they lost their money as fast as they made it. I got wiped out in the bear market, but learned from my mistakes and am doing my Bitcoin and Crypto 2.0 accumulation plan. We can all work together, young and old to change the economic climate in this time and I believe this is a pivotal part of our evolutionary history and I want to be a part of the generation that actually did something to better the world for future generations to come. I roped my dad also into Crypto and he is over 80, so we can get older people in, just need to educate them. So, if all you whales out there want to give your mother an Xmas gift, go open her a Bitcoin wallet and teach her how to use it, how to buy and sell Bitcoin or other coins and how to use them to buy and save. Grin Cheesy
