21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where Can I Post This without Stepping on Anyone's Toes? on: March 20, 2018, 04:37:09 AM
At least try to run it with proofs that your uncle is really into some conditions, I mean anything that you can do best to show the people because there are no free nowadays and pretending is too easy. Sorry for my skepticism. What country are you in? I believe that there are specific departments of your government that can really help you with this. I saw some of my friends on Facebook that did fund raising, you can try it though.

I provided a great deal of information on my uncle's condition (including photos and video of him in the hospital taken just two days ago)
to try to alleviate people's understandable skepticism. As far as specific departments of the government... we're here in the US. My uncle is
on disability, so he has a fixed income - a very small fixed income at that. He is on Medicare (health insurance) but they don't want to pay
for the kidney dialysis until his remaining kidney's function drops below 15%. It's bouncing between 20 and 24% right now. So between his
kidney failing and his heart failing, fluid just builds and builds in his body. It makes it difficult for him to breathe sometimes.

The dialysis helps. In the last week he has had 3, maybe 4 dialysis treatments and have pulled off more than 10 liters of fluid in total. So it
works. The problem is that as soon as they stop treatments, the fluid starts building back up again. It's a nasty cycle.

I understand your skepticism, but we can see that OP posted everything on her website. Just check it before prejudice.

I hope that community will help to you and your uncle. As soon as I will be at home, I will send some BTC. Stay strong!

Thank you for your well-wishes. I will pass them on. My biggest concern in even going this route was skepticism. I get why people
are wary - which is why I tried to put as much info on the site as I could. If it works, I'll be thrilled to be able to help him. If not, I
can at least say I tried to do something.

Thank you for answering my question so quickly... I will do that  Smiley
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Where Can I Post This without Stepping on Anyone's Toes? on: March 19, 2018, 09:20:24 PM
I am trying to raise money to help pay for my uncle's medical care. I've built a small website with photos,
video, and other information, but I don't want to run afoul of the mods - which is why I am not posting it
in this message. Where is the most appropriate place to post it?

Many thanks,

Cynthia

Users asked for details about Yobit requests, this is an example (ICO funds were used for Exclusive Listing - 0.5 BTC) Trying to do my best Smiley

Thanks for it. I'm going to send some request too, is it free or do we have to pay to make the request?

You can submit a freebie request
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins more secure then Swiss bank? on: April 01, 2017, 07:58:34 PM
Are you asking about security or stability? From a stability standpoint, the Swiss bank account gets my vote simply because
currency values aren't in constant flux like they are with bitcoin. From a security standpoint? Depends on what you are doing.

If you're keeping them in a 3rd party online wallet or an unencrypted offline wallet, then the Swiss bank again gets my vote.
On the other hand, if you're taking every available precaution to protect your bitcoin, then I'd say they are comparable.
27  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2 x $25 Amazon Gift Cards on: March 30, 2017, 10:41:50 PM
It has been pointed out to me that Purse.io sells Amazon gift cards for 20% less than retail.

I'll match that offer for my two $25 Amazon gift cards if anyone is interested. That's $50 in Amazon gift cards
for $40 USD worth of Bitcoin or DASH (preferably Bitcoin).

PM me if interested.

Best,

Cynthia

Good morning,

I have two (2) unused $25 Amazon gift cards for sale for the equivalent in Bitcoin or DASH.

Here are back / front photos of the cards (the peel of sticker is still covering the claim codes):

29  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] For Hire - 20 Yrs Exp in Web Development, SEO - Will Work for Crypto on: March 28, 2017, 10:17:08 PM
This kind of job pays very well because companies are paying top dollars just to make their website on top of searches. How  many months before you can rank up a site and all those site wide links? I just happen to learn the term site-wide links from a friend.

It depends entirely on the competitiveness of the search terms combined with whether or not
the website has the content to support those search terms. I tell clients that real results won't
usually start making themselves felt for at least the first month or two, although I've had some
that took longer and some that took less time.

SEO *can* pay very well, but as with web design, while a lot of companies need it, not all of
them recognize the value of it and as a result can be pretty cheap when it comes to what they
are willing to pay.

<weekly bump>

I still have availability for work. WordPress, SEO, content writing, social media, etc...

Disclosure: I can't accept any writing gigs for crypto publications as I am currently working part time as an
editor for Bitcoinist and it would be a conflict of interest.

Bleutrade it's a dead exchange walking, XVE need yobit at least.

I'm not suggesting Bleutrade instead of YoBit. YoBit should def. be next. Bleu may be small, but
they've also never scammed anyone that I've heard of (of course i've been out of the loop for
several months so if I'm wrong plz say so Smiley )

Payout received redcastle thank you. Also ask Bleutrade for addition, it's a good exchange..

Agreed. Bleutrade is solid.

...whereas GMB coindev rode off
into the sunset with his ico proceeds and didn't do a single thing he promised he would do...

It takes a special kind of filth to do something like this.
[/quote]

It happens all too often, unfortunately. Getting hard to suss out which ICOs are worth investing in and which
are just a convoluted way to piss away our hard earned bitcoin.

I believe in XVE though. Dev has been present and solid throughout.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XVE] "The Vegan Initiative" [NOW TRADING ON COINEXCHANGE.IO] on: March 26, 2017, 09:27:46 PM
The last coin that promised buy support ran off with the ICO funds, so that doesn't mean much.

As to drumming up support on Twitter to get YoBit to add XVE, that's hardly unusual and just one
of many ways that an altcoin community shows its support.

Yobit request sent, yup there are many users not happy with gmb and coinexchange right now
dont trust he will add yobit

Considering the XVE ico is over and coindev is still keeping investors in the loop, still making
improvements, and still in regular contact with my privately whereas GMB coindev rode off
into the sunset with his ico proceeds and didn't do a single thing he promised he would do, I
think I'm willing to have a little faith where XVE and The Vegan Initiative are concerned.
35  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] GMB - Gambleo IS A SCAM - DO NOT INVEST - Proof inside on: March 26, 2017, 06:52:48 PM
I don't think there were death threats at all. I think he used the growing outrage to fabricate an 'out'
for himself. I feel crappy because I actually promoted the ICO. Yes, I received a bounty (in GMB, not
BTC) but I also invested my own money.

I'm probably going to sell off my GMB for whatever I can get, buy DOGE or something else interesting
and do another giveaway.

i have a transaction blocked . help please !

Here you go: http://bitcoinmafia.com/bittys-blog/3-ways-unstick-stuck-bitcoin-transaction/

There's a couple of ideas in there that might help. The tx accelerator over at ViaBTC may be
your easiest / best bet, especially if you're new to bitcoin.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3 Ways to Unstick Stuck Bitcoin Transactions on: March 26, 2017, 04:00:27 PM
Thank you OP for providing this information I was actually talking about his the other day and wanted to know how it works so this makes things much easier for me. It's interesting too.

Glad I was able to help Smiley I love ViaBTC's accelerator. Sometimes I have to wait until the next hour
to get my transaction to go thru their accelerator, but it's better than 8 - 10 hours or more.

then said add yobit use tweeter?Huh?

@redcastle: don't send any bounties.
Did you noticed 20 minutes after you sending bounties people start to sell?
market was so stable until 20 minutes ago.

That's why i think it's better if you hold coins and no bounties need to send.
user will only dump them.

Why not commend redcastle on keeping his word with the bounty payouts? Some coindevs
[cough:gambleocoin:cough] screwed bounty participants out of their promised bounties.

XVE will rebound. It just needs more community support.

Let's put a bug in Yobit's ear about XVE. Please read and RT:

Thanks!
