At least try to run it with proofs that your uncle is really into some conditions, I mean anything that you can do best to show the people because there are no free nowadays and pretending is too easy. Sorry for my skepticism. What country are you in? I believe that there are specific departments of your government that can really help you with this. I saw some of my friends on Facebook that did fund raising, you can try it though.
I provided a great deal of information on my uncle's condition (including photos and video of him in the hospital taken just two days ago) to try to alleviate people's understandable skepticism. As far as specific departments of the government... we're here in the US. My uncle is on disability, so he has a fixed income - a very small fixed income at that. He is on Medicare (health insurance) but they don't want to pay for the kidney dialysis until his remaining kidney's function drops below 15%. It's bouncing between 20 and 24% right now. So between his kidney failing and his heart failing, fluid just builds and builds in his body. It makes it difficult for him to breathe sometimes. The dialysis helps. In the last week he has had 3, maybe 4 dialysis treatments and have pulled off more than 10 liters of fluid in total. So it works. The problem is that as soon as they stop treatments, the fluid starts building back up again. It's a nasty cycle.

I understand your skepticism, but we can see that OP posted everything on her website. Just check it before prejudice.
I hope that community will help to you and your uncle. As soon as I will be at home, I will send some BTC. Stay strong! Thank you for your well-wishes. I will pass them on. My biggest concern in even going this route was skepticism. I get why people are wary - which is why I tried to put as much info on the site as I could. If it works, I'll be thrilled to be able to help him. If not, I can at least say I tried to do something.

I am trying to raise money to help pay for my uncle's medical care. I've built a small website with photos, video, and other information, but I don't want to run afoul of the mods - which is why I am not posting it in this message. Where is the most appropriate place to post it?
Many thanks,
Cynthia

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins more secure then Swiss bank?

Are you asking about security or stability? From a stability standpoint, the Swiss bank account gets my vote simply because currency values aren't in constant flux like they are with bitcoin. From a security standpoint? Depends on what you are doing.
If you're keeping them in a 3rd party online wallet or an unencrypted offline wallet, then the Swiss bank again gets my vote. On the other hand, if you're taking every available precaution to protect your bitcoin, then I'd say they are comparable.

Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2 x $25 Amazon Gift Cards

It has been pointed out to me that Purse.io sells Amazon gift cards for 20% less than retail.
I'll match that offer for my two $25 Amazon gift cards if anyone is interested. That's $50 in Amazon gift cards for $40 USD worth of Bitcoin or DASH (preferably Bitcoin).
PM me if interested.
Best,
Cynthia

Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] For Hire - 20 Yrs Exp in Web Development, SEO - Will Work for Crypto

This kind of job pays very well because companies are paying top dollars just to make their website on top of searches. How many months before you can rank up a site and all those site wide links? I just happen to learn the term site-wide links from a friend.
It depends entirely on the competitiveness of the search terms combined with whether or not the website has the content to support those search terms. I tell clients that real results won't usually start making themselves felt for at least the first month or two, although I've had some that took longer and some that took less time. SEO *can* pay very well, but as with web design, while a lot of companies need it, not all of them recognize the value of it and as a result can be pretty cheap when it comes to what they are willing to pay.

The last coin that promised buy support ran off with the ICO funds, so that doesn't mean much.
As to drumming up support on Twitter to get YoBit to add XVE, that's hardly unusual and just one of many ways that an altcoin community shows its support.
Yobit request sent, yup there are many users not happy with gmb and coinexchange right now dont trust he will add yobit Considering the XVE ico is over and coindev is still keeping investors in the loop, still making improvements, and still in regular contact with my privately whereas GMB coindev rode off into the sunset with his ico proceeds and didn't do a single thing he promised he would do, I think I'm willing to have a little faith where XVE and The Vegan Initiative are concerned.

I don't think there were death threats at all. I think he used the growing outrage to fabricate an 'out' for himself. I feel crappy because I actually promoted the ICO. Yes, I received a bounty (in GMB, not BTC) but I also invested my own money.
I'm probably going to sell off my GMB for whatever I can get, buy DOGE or something else interesting and do another giveaway.

Thank you OP for providing this information I was actually talking about his the other day and wanted to know how it works so this makes things much easier for me. It's interesting too.
Glad I was able to help I love ViaBTC's accelerator. Sometimes I have to wait until the next hour to get my transaction to go thru their accelerator, but it's better than 8 - 10 hours or more.

@redcastle: don't send any bounties. Did you noticed 20 minutes after you sending bounties people start to sell? market was so stable until 20 minutes ago.
That's why i think it's better if you hold coins and no bounties need to send. user will only dump them.
Why not commend redcastle on keeping his word with the bounty payouts? Some coindevs [cough:gambleocoin:cough] screwed bounty participants out of their promised bounties. XVE will rebound. It just needs more community support.
