I own the btcbabes.com domain name. I was originally going to turn it into a Pic of the Day / Hot or Not type website but I just don't have the time or content so I have decided to sell it.
Starting bid is 0.035 BTC (about USD $36 as of this posting)
Increased bids are in increments of 0.005 BTC.
Auction ends on March 31, 2017
Cheers!

Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling?

How to profit from cryptocurrency gambling? Sign up for affiliate programs and promote the links. Don't gamble your own coins That would not give us a good profit, it's better to invest in a gambling sites although it's a big risky. Actually I have many sign ups through my affiliates but it seems like I'm not satisfied with the amount I'm getting, I think I have to be more realistic, I have to invest to earn more and that requires me to put a decent amount of money which is fine with me. I was mostly joking. I know that my idea won't bring in the amount of coin you're looking for. I don't have a gambler's temperament, so I don't gamble. I have mad respect for those who do and who are successful at it though.

Economy / Auctions / AltcoinHub.com - domain

on: March 20, 2017, 01:38:52 AM
|
I own the altcoinhub.com domain name. Since I know I won't have time to develop it, I have decided to sell it.
It would make a great domain for an exchange, a forum, or an altcoin news website and since it is both a TLD and has the keyword 'altcoin' in it, there is good SEO value in the domain as well.
Starting bid is 0.35 BTC (about USD $40 as of this posting)
Increased bids are in increments of 0.005 BTC.
Auction ends on March 31, 2017
Cheers!

Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] ImgBits.net - Earn Bitcoins Uploading Images

It's a new and unique way for newbies to earn bits of bitcoin, for sure. Given that you have advertising on your website, the arrangement seems to benefit you more than the folks posting images though.
They post They promote Your website traffic goes up Your ad revenue goes up
At least that's how it looks to an outsider. I could be wrong though.

I would advise extreme caution selling bitcoin for cash via PayPal unless it is from someone you know and trust.
PayPal ALWAYS favors the buyer no matter how much proof the seller has. Back when I was a naive crypto n00b I sold some bitcoin on eBay and the buyer paid for it using PayPal and then promptly turned right around and told PayPal that their account had been hacked, they had no idea what bitcoin was, etc... despite the fact that I had emails, scans of a signed note and even a photo of the seller's ID card (name and addy blacked out, 'natch).
Even with all that proof, PayPal still refunded the seller his money. Of course, I never got my bitcoin back.
Lesson learned.

Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] GMB - Gambleo IS A SCAM - DO NOT INVEST - Proof inside

This is dumb. There's room enough in crypto for all kinds of ICOs. Deliberately tanking an ICO because someone said something bad about yours hurts the investors more than anything and undermines faith in crypto. Does it suck that a few people are lambasting your own ICO? Yes it does. Frankly, if supporters of my ICO were trashing another, I'd kick them out of the ICO, refund their money and not let them reinvest, but that's just me. But unless you have PROOF that captiancomet is using alts to trash talk your ICO, you're just as guilty of spreading FUD as the trolls are. Take a breath, calm down, and take the high road. Instead of trash talking GMB because their supporters trash talked XVE, focus on and talk about the plans for and benefits of XVE. You will garner far more respect from the community that way. You have supporters. I've seen them on the board and on Twitter. It's all good. I think both coins have possibilities, which is why I am promoting and buying both

A lot of people - both part of Bitcoin core and not - seem to have forgotten the entire purpose behind Bitcoin.
It is awesome that the interest in and value of Bitcoin has climbed the way it has. But that is not its only purpose. For far longer than I am comfortable with, it's been all about the climb, climb, climb and less about making sure that the Bitcoin network can handle the increased transaction level that ongoing interest and mainstreaming is going to cause.
The fact that TX fees are rivaling those of PAYPAL in terms of highway robbery-ness is appalling.

I'm fine and have tech skills if gmb dev would take part on accusation thread asap to discuss with real devs about some feature. since it's a completly scam this shit coin, just wait some days
Leave this thread , I have more work to do Any more comment on this thread by any xve member will not be tolerated Probably you didn't understand so well. Fun has just begun here. Not on sunday (our team have a day off...from monday till your scam ico end) This kind of petty b.s. is part of what makes folks leery of investing in new altcoins. There's room in this crypto 'verse for all manner of altcoins. No need for anyone to be fudding anyone else's coin.

I haven't invested any of my own BTC yet. They give you 100 Gh/s for signing up and after two initial test withdrawals (.001 BTC and 16k DOGE) I've been cycling any earnings back into additional Gh/s.
So is it a scam? Possible. Probably. I'll play with the Gh/s they give me and hope for the best. But I also am not promoting them because if it is a scam, I don't want people investing on my recommendation.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core developers attack BU?

Wow...what a horrible piece of yellow journalism. Even if it is an op-ed piece, any reporter worth his / her salt would gather facts to support his / her position. This is fearmongering, plain and simple. So some guy named cipher said he was going to exploit bugs. So what. There is no proof that he is or was ever tied to the Bitcoin core group. In fact, CCN noted that in a correction to the article.
Do I believe that certain persons in the Bitcoin core could stoop to this level to try to knock BU off its pedestal?
Sure. Do I have proof? No, i do not.
Bet the article got a lot of eyes on it, though, and at the end of the day that seems to be the only goal for some folks.
