TRM v0.9.2.1 eth+ton works good on Navi cards, much better than lolminer. Still waiting for Vega and Polaris support.
|
|
|
it would be nice if we can dual mining eth/etc + TON with TRM

RaveOS latest build 8754-2002

It is the best TON miner for RX580 cards. On GTX1060 I got only 780 compared to Tonminer 1.0.11 whitch give me 850.
|
|
|
Any option to have it for RaveOS too? TRM is better for dualmining ETC+ZIL on 4GB cards and it is easy to setup in RaveOS.

I'm still getting low hashrate on my Vega 56 with max settings of core 930 mem clock 900 and 840mv any thing higher than this the GPU will crash in hiveOS, my hashrate is 44mH and here is the tweak settings I use
amdmemtweak --cl 18 --ras 23 --rcdrd 22 --rcdwr 11 --rc 34 --rp 13 --rrds 3 --rrdl 4 --rtp 6 --faw 12 --cwl 7 --wtrs 4 --wtrl 4 --wr 11 --rfc 164 --REF 15000
The memory is hynix memory
44MH/s is not bad. For anything higher you need to raise core clock to 1000MHz or more and mem clock. Hynix is not good for overclocking on vega56 cards. If you can flash vega64 bios do it and raise mem clock to 950-1000MHz. Try to lower --rcdrd as much as you can. This is a basic settings for hynix memory: --RAS 24 --RCDRD 19 --RCDWR 4 --RC 35 --RP 13 --RRDS 4 --RRDL 5 --RFC 148 --REF 15600

As for autolykos2 (ergo) it is good for Polaris and Fiji cards. Compared with TRM it is slower for Navi cards and it is much slower for Vega cards. Hope it will be better in next release.

Rig with 5 rx 5700 xt with settings vram clock speed 1800 to 1810, core 1300 to 1350 MHz and voltage 725 to 800 mv , win 10, amd driver ver 20.4.2. Test it at f2pool, ethermine and nicehase. With teamredminer had no problem at all, no problem at all for 5 days continuously. With phoenix miner 5.4c and 5.3b I had the same problem, when the phoenix was starting after a while (from 1 or 2 min to few hours) 1 or 2 gpus they showed 0 mh while the phoenix continued mining with the other gpus without any message and the volt from the gpu that shows 0 Mh drops to 20 watt at the software and about –100 from the wall. Any idea why it does this and how I can fix it?
yes I have an idea how you can fix it - stick with your teamredminer - continuously. The thing is that with the same settings and the same watts from the wall, the phoenix has 55.5 mh on each card and the teamred has 54 to 54.3. I have seen that what the miners report in software is also reported in the pools. 1 to 1.5 mh per cart per day for 5 gpu may not say much, but over time it is a significant difference. So if I manage to stabilize phoenix it would be good. Of course I will prefer stability from the few mh above. So anyone some idea? Don't use cvddc, cclock and mvddc. Set it to 0 for each card and use only mclock and powlim. If you use msi ab use it only for fan control. -cclock 0,0,0,0,0 -cvddc 0,0,0,0,0 -mclock 1800,1800,1800,1800,1800 -mvddc 0,0,0,0,0 -powlim -40,-40,-40,-40,-40 (some gpu can work with -45 or -50 but some gpu can't work even wit -40) Thanks for the reply. I do not use any of them in the bat file. For gpu control I use only AMD software. In the bat file I have only the main points such as pool, wallet and worker. The power limit of all gpus is at 0%. Should I add clock, cvddc and mvddc at bat file with 0? set all to default in amd software and add settings in bat file, maybe amd software cause problems. PM5.3b and 20.4.2 drivers should work fine. if it doesn't work use trm or lolminer.

Greetings, I hope you can help me solve this problem since the only way I can solve it is by restarting the platform.
could not connect to ethash pool PhoenixMiner -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999. An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full
the error appears every 20 hours and the only thing I can do is restart
Sorry my bad english
it happened to me when i was using -cdm 0 option. no problem with default -cdm 1

PhoenixMiner 5.3b on Linux no control for clock and voltage
I have rig 8 x rx580 and trying to move from windows to linux. I have installed Ubuntu 18.04.5 HWE with kernel 5.6.0 and amdgpu-pro-20.20-1089974-ubuntu-18.04. (./amdgpu-pro-install -y --opencl=pal,legacy --headless) It seems that miner can not control clock and voltage
What is wrong? any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
Did you read ReleaseNotes? ... Implemented hardware control (setting clocks, voltages, power limit, fan control) for AMD cards under Linux. Requires PhoenixMiner running with root permissions. The clocks and voltage control require relatively new drivers (tested on 19.30-855429) and adding the following boot parameter to Linux kernel: amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xffffffff ... The next question will be how to do that.

I could use some guidance please. I downloaded the new PM 5.3b to mine ETC again with some of my AMD 470 4gb cards. I have a test rig up with Win10 and 20.4.2 drivers installed. I have two cards that are the same except one is 8Gb and the other 4Gb. The 8gb card works fine of course, however, the 4Gb card only finds invalid shares. https://imgur.com/jZELw2PNot sure if my image will show up or not but I tried to embed an image. Any ideas why the 4Gb card only finds invalid shares? I even dropped the mem clocks on the 4Gb card and added more power to see if that would help and it did not. I am about to install SMOS to see if that helps, but would really like to run Win10 if possible. Just installed PM with SMOS and it is doing the same thing. Anyone willing to take a guess? lower the memory to 1900 or even less and try again on win10 rx470 4GB has elpidia memory?

Hy people!
I have a problem running more than 9 RX580 at my ashrock H110. It run with 12 cards till december 19, than I stopped mining. Now I startet again, but get always error in claymore and with phoenix is the same. The mainboard found more than 9 cards, but get errors when I try to run more than 9 cards. I have old blockchain drivers for the amd rx580 cards. So, do you think after upgrading will it be posible to run more than 9 cards, or will it be the same? I did not upgrade now, because I don´t know if the system runs stable after upgrading? Last update was maybe 2018, after installing the system. I have two riggs with the same components - both are running only 9 cards, more than 9 - error.
thank you for your replay Anon
use 20.4.2 drivers, it works fine with 10 gpu rigs Hi! Thx for the answer! I did upgrade to this driver 20.4.2, but it is the same. The miner crashes, error something in phoenix. At Claymore error at gpu x, gpu y... The system finds 12 gpu´s, but not posible to mine more than 9 gpu´s. I can mix the 9 gpu´s at all 12 slots with also mixing the risers to know if the gpu´s are ok, the risers are ok and the gpu-slots at the mainboard are ok, no idea at the moment.... I tryed also with a brand new ashrock h110 btc plus, with also the driver 20.4.2, but phonix and claymore are not willing to mine... Maybe motherboard bios update?? thank you Anon bios is ok if motherboard recognize gpus and you can install drivers for all cards. Increase the Windows page file size to 65536 and try again.

Need help guys, My MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming with this setting 5.1c: -acm -clKernel 1 -clNew 1 -clf 0 ^ -gt 126 -cclock 1300 -cvddc 750 -mclock 900 ^ Windows 10. it runs smooth (copy fromk log): 2020.11.06:13:23:19.563: main GPU1: 66C 41% 105W GPU1: cclock 1267 MHz, cvddc 756 mV, mclock 1750 MHz, mvddc 850 mV, Tj 72C, Tmem 94C 2020.11.06:13:23:41.618: main Eth speed: 50.552 MH/s, shares: 3/0/0, time: 0:01 But what im worried is: Tmem 94C ?? We can fry en egg at 94c... 94C is fine, you should be worried if it reach 104C. did you try mvddc under 900? 860 i.e. ? and -tt etc ? No, I modded bios (cclock 1366, mclock 1800 with moded strap, cvddc 800, mvddc 850), 55.5MH/s. Tj 58-66C, Tmem 82-92C (it depends of room temps).

Hi. Could you tell me my build 8 RX 588, produces 113 chains/day . The entire farm consumes 1750w (including PICOPSU 160w). Consumption of 1 card is 200 w. How to actually reduce consumption?
W10client 10.5 ASM
it is hard to reduce power consumption without reduce cpd. So I tried to lower the consumption and immediately there is a dump of the video driver you should lower gpu frequency, voltage and tdp. the best way to do that is polaris bios editor.
