1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market correction coming? on: August 14, 2017, 09:03:50 PM
The market itself is correcting each week. Unless there is bad news about Bitcoin then no the bull will continue to run. Slow and steady growth. Remember it took about 8 yrs for Bitcoin to reach this level so that is actually quite a good rise.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: August 14, 2017, 12:59:54 AM
anyone know the Ico price and how many were sold?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is is too late to invest in gpu considering prices atm? on: July 10, 2017, 04:25:58 AM
Scared money don't make money. It's never too late. It's better to start than to never start at all.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why the internet sucks. on: July 09, 2017, 06:00:32 PM
The thing is no one really knows what mining will be like 3-6 months down the road. Card prices are sky high right now and AMD is coming out with Vega cards in August. Ethereum could go PoS by end of the year etc.. Don't expect to turn a profit until at least 4-5 months down the road.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Rebrand - RX570 / RX580 - Official Thread on: June 14, 2017, 05:22:53 PM
Hi guys I just fired up my new out of the box RX 580 to mine ETH and with the card running stock I'm getting 22 mh/s and it's running at 88c temp with 61% fan. Are the RX 580's known to run this hot?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / is my RX 580 running hot? on: June 14, 2017, 03:49:13 AM
I'm currently mining with 2 GPU's. My XFX RX580 8GB sits at 90c while my R9 280x sits at only 74c.

Both are running stock. Mining ETH with 280X I get about 13.3 mh/s and with RX580 I get 22 mh/s.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / mining with 2 GPU's..is my power supply enough? on: June 07, 2017, 03:50:06 AM
My system:
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Z87 DDR3 3PCI-E16 3PCI-E1
Intel Core i5 4670K Unlocked Quad Core 3.4GHZ
Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 2.5in SATA3 LSI SandForce SSD
G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1866
Seasonic G Series 750W ATX 80PLUS Gold Modular 120mm PSU

MY GPU's
R9 280x and RX 580 8GB on the way

I will be using this computer mainly for mining running 24/7 and some light web surfing. Should I be worried with the PSU I have?

Thanks in advance.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing? on: June 04, 2017, 03:44:21 PM
BAT can really take off because everyone uses the internet/web browser. If enough people like the idea it can really get going. Unlike Bitcoin and other altcoins which are only good for transactions with BAT you can support it just using the Brave browser.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 29, 2017, 05:19:26 PM
Hello guys I'm currently getting 13 Mh/s with my R9 280X. Is this about right for my card? I'm running the 9.2 version if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance

Are the serious investors really worried about the price? This coin is only a few months old.... Bitcoin didn't shoot up to 8 billion marketcap in 2 months. Come on guys...

you make me laugh, 99.9% alt coin has several days lifetime,  pump-> dump -> dead, or dump->dead

many people like compare bitcoin with altcoin, are you out of mind? even ltc is not in position to compare with btc, look the price of ltc . but I sincerely hope VRC is one of decent coins like drc xc bc

You make me laugh. Don't ever compare Vericoin to DRK, XC ,and BC. Seriously Blackcoin? what a joke of a name. I'm not even hating I just think its a funny name to begin with. As for DRK and XC they are going to target mainly criminals and it's going to give crypto a bad name.

It goes like this.

1. Bitcoin
2. Litecoin (maybe Vericoin)
3. Vericoin

You only need top three anything else after that doesn't matter.

Still waiting for this new wallet ui that was promised in the roadmap today....

Watch the Google hangout video. I think they said it will be delayed.

The website should have been live on it's official domain BEFORE the conference today.
Verifiat should have been in wallets last week.
And now the new UI is delayed? I can't say I'm too pleased with how we are handling things or how we are progressing. Very underwhelmed with vericoin lately.

Today should have been full of pr and hardly a mouse fart of noise for vrc right now.

If the Devs didn't care about the coin you wouldn't even have your coins right now.

Why are the fudsters still even here? This coin is already dead in their eyes so why continue to bash the coin? Oh that's right because they want the price to drop so they can buy in low...
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | POS - NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS on: July 15, 2014, 04:07:36 AM

If you look at the history chart for VRC's staking power network-wide, there was a massive drop off of millions in weight when the hack is claimed to have happened. They didn't stake, my ass. Also, the coins were wild out of Mintpal's control for over 10 hours, exchanges were not frozen - yet they sat at the same two withdrawal addresses and did not move at all, and the fork was done the next day. What hacker do you know that wouldn't sell a single coin after stealing it? Mintpal is full of shit. This all looks much more like they lost the coins somehow, perhaps by transferring to an inaccessible address, or overwriting files they shouldn'tve - something. If they lost $2 mil USD, they were facing UK prison - so they tell the VRC devs they got hacked, Nosker is pressured to save his network against the possibility of a single majority-staker, and the userbase for both VRC and Mintpal get to scratch their heads over what the real story is behind all the shadows and bullshit.

One thing is for sure, Mintpal failed due to negligence and/or incompetence, and they're being less than honest about the details of the issue and how they operate their business. Nosker's hand was a bit forced to save his coin, considering the circumstances - but one can't help but wonder what he knew. His argument about throwing up massive sell walls on the exchanges to "help investors" doesn't make much sense to me. Wouldn't he want BTC walls to prevent the price crashing? Seems odd. Anyway, fuck Mintpal, and shame VRC got dragged into it.

See this is the entire point. People are too cool with trusting devs and believing the first story they heard blah blah.

The entire point of crypto is that you don't have to trust anyone. And then you have these Veri bagholders defending and saying they prefer that all the Veri services are centralized cuz they want have a face they can trust.

It's supposed to be open-source, distributed not closed source and under their care. I don't get how more people arent calling this crap out.

Get your head out your ass.

You really think your shitcoin is decentralized. HA

Why da fuq did Mintpal hold 8mil Vericion's($2mil) in a hot wallet. I want a good explanation.

Rolling back really damages the integrity of the blockchain..

Should have switched to a new coin, and let the exchanges convert 1 for 1

Veri2coin

EDIT: Probably both needed to happen in this case for Vericoin to succeed.  Roll back to before the theft, then freeze markets and exchange for new coin.

And die like Sat2 or Summercoin2?? No thanks

Y'all are already looking death in the eyes... It would have been the best way to retain integrity of the blockchain.  It will be interesting to see if the people defending this coin will hold or dump.  Next few days will tell.

I wish everyone the best of luck involved in this coin!

I'm actually hoping for a dump. This is a strong coin and its hugely undervalued. I'll be buying lots if it ever gets dumped.

Ok here's my 2 cents.

If this was any other shit coin then people would not even give a fk. It wouldn't even have been a target for a hacker. This just tells me that Vericoin is a diamong in a rough. Vericoin is a big threat to all other big altcoins  and they are going to find any way to bring us down. People who don't even own any Vericoin's are coming over here from all over the place and just bashing the decision made by the devs. Why? Because they know Vericion is the real deal. As if Every other atlcoins revolves around Vericion (soon it will be the king of alts).

No they picked the worse of two evils, they just proved this coin is completely centralized crypto and it will screw over countless innocent people.

How do you figure that a theft of VRC from an exchange is evidence of VRC being centralised? It was stolen from an exchange, not from a VRC services.

VRC is still a decentralised currency. If this had occurred from a service provided by VRC then you'd have a point but it is nothing to do with VRC and everything to do with, again, trading-exchange weaknesses.

It isn't decentralized if one developer can make changes and have them pushed to the community. That is a modern version of Bankster Bail outs. This is the first CRYPTO BANK BAIL OUT. I'm calling it.

lol

Were you surprised to see your stolen 8 million Vericions disappear from your wallet out of thin air and back to the hands of its rightful owners? Good.

Dear vericoin community, we are being FUDed and its up to you how we handle this. Some of these people are here to enjoy others misery. Some are here to promote their coin. Its easy for them to point the finger when they think they know whats right and wrong and are hardly affected by the outcome. I dont like the idea of a fork or making it seem like Mintpal doesnt take any damage in this. So the devs choose one of two very shitty decisions, to hard fork the coin. This is bad, and now we have a choice. We can dump this coin back to nothing which is what would happen if we let the thieves keep the coins, Also what a lot of people want. Or we can show the crypto community that we still support the devs in this decision and hold tight. We can show them that we do not bend to FUD and what other alt communities think is "right" or "wrong". The world is not black and white like they make it sound with " I would never hard fork ever!" Most alts would die against such a problem as this. SO what will it be? Will you hold? Or do you want to be like most alts?

fud or not this coin is dead if they hardfork to avoid lost coins... you can't do that.

pls...dump all your coins. I am happy to buy them for cheap.

here's the problem with a rollback: You sell me 100 oz. of GOLD, not fiat, not bitcoin, not pork bellies (tho the pork bellies wld be same as Au) for an equivalent amount of VRC.

You and I agree that VRC has value, so we agree to the exchange, I send you VRC, you ship me gold coins.

A bad man steals many VRC from MintPal. Blockchain gets rolled back. I get my VRC back.

*But I Still Have Your Gold.*

No. When you get the money from the rollback then you pay the guy who sold you the gold. Unless you want a broken knee cap.
