81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round1 Ends, Round2 Starting Soon] on: August 27, 2014, 12:50:32 AM

+1   943 Watts for 1 Tube @ stock 270 clock, power eff. was over stated IMHO, but I will know more once I can get them on 208V power in an ambient temp sub 35C.

82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round1 Ends, Round2 Starting Soon] on: August 26, 2014, 06:09:30 PM

Dangit, no I didn't. I remember seeing that last week but completely forgot about it. I'll run the update and retest.

I'm using slush's mining_proxy.exe, whatever version was downloadable about October last year.

Did not help with eligius.st will not connect even after FlashMega, the pool that shall not be named is only one I have succeeded with to date. Likewise no GUI settings to allow for load balance. Anyone SSH into one of these yet, I have had no luck on port 22, 8000, 7478.
83  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round1 Ends, Round2 Starting Soon] on: August 26, 2014, 04:28:18 PM
Well got 3 up configured and mining over night here are the numbers. I have 1 x 1300 G2 EVGA connected to each tube, they draw 945-960 watts @ shipped 270 Mhz clock. I attempted to power 3 tubes with 2 1300W PSUs, epic fail..  wall pull rose above 1500W per leg before I shut it down. So these will need a 1000W continuous draw PSU each. Secondly Heat is outrageous I do not have a laser, but these are pushing 2-3 times the heat the S3 are (more chips so that makes sense).

Over all MEH, "800GH/s" @ 940W, .97083 BTC + 190 -PSU = "$685" or  $0.86/GH. IMHO S3's are better built, designed, and MUCH more efficient for the home user. Once I get these into the DC I will give my opinion of them in that environment. I am thinking a 1000+ cfm elec. radiator fan mounted to 4 of these to get the temps down.

84  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 26, 2014, 03:52:55 AM
Well I guess I will not bother to get one of these then unless the price drops by quite a bit... 1.04BTC for under 800GH at what 900 watts?  Even with free power it is not worth all the effort  Undecided

Yeah, never thought buying a heavy duty power screw driver would be a 'hidden cost'

I used hand screw driver. Why use electric did not take too long to build 20 minutes, maybe 30 on your first go.  Undecided

New stats after moving fans...

85  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 26, 2014, 03:27:39 AM
If you don't mind can you let us know if it gets better or worse? Also I noticed you're clocked at 270... That's overclocked right? Just wondering.

Negative... 270 is shipped clock

I moved around some room fans and I am seeing some improvements, the chips that were pwr down are back. These things are HOT!!! I have almost branded myself twice grabbing the rear handle (away from fan) to adjust position. Lab temp has risen 5C since booting, I will NOT be OC'ing these things in the lab, moving to DC soon..

I can not stress how hot these are on the exhaust side or side opposite the fan.

86  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 26, 2014, 03:17:22 AM
So you do have 1 hashing now?  What sort of stats are you getting?

Not too good 3 chips errors on 2 boards...
87  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 26, 2014, 03:02:50 AM
Please tell me this is a joke. This has got to be a joke.

Nope, in fact it is 156 2M x 5mm to properly hold 4 hash boards to cooling rig. I tried less and had erratic heat issues. All 156 in and she is warming up nice 96.37% and climbing..  onto finish #2.

So has anyone actually built one of these and had it work?  I was reading the other thread and no one has them working after multiple days?

Once I got all the parts and assembled took 10 minutes to setup, although I am a Network engineer with 10+ years exp.  but if you have worked with ants you know that you will need to create a sub-net to create 192.168.0.X network.

the joke is on me... counting out 156 screws per Tube from 15,000-17,000 thousand bulk screws I was sent.... here comes the scale method and sandwich bags...

Better hope they used heavier bags then used with my shipment. .225 mil plastic, probably lasted 10 minutes in shipping.
88  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 25, 2014, 07:46:49 PM
yes indeed 144 screws holes to hold all 4 boards to the heat sinks. tiny little shits too  Shocked

Also that is not counting a handful of holes which are off to the side, as I said still no hashing boards so I am not entirely sure if they are needed. Still counting what I received to then divide by 10.

Looks like 1440 to me, still counting.

Seems the .5mil bags they put the hardware in fell apart found remnants in box.
89  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 25, 2014, 07:40:52 PM
<snip>
One of the boxes has a noise coming from it...
<snip>
Not sure if that is enough, guess I have to separate them out...  FUN!
<snip>
I am pretty sure that is not enough..  4 x 10 units = 40 - 15 = 25 Short by my count..  Friedcat any help?
<snip>
Will continue after I actually get full delivery.........

WOW!!! speechless...

Can you tell me how many screws are needed for 1 tube in total?

Looks like 4 - 4M x 55mm(allen head, 4 nylon washers), 4 - 4M x 8mm(phillips head), and 144 - 2M x 6mm(phillips head); each machine.
90  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 25, 2014, 05:04:21 PM
Well they Finally made it...  ALMOST!  DHL lost the 2 boxes with the hash cards in them, really??  Anyway they were located and "should" arrive this evening. Check that I get the pleasure of going and picking them up. Hey Dogie is that part of the Bulk discount experience?

That being said, I begin preparing for the build out,

91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 【SOLD OUT】The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1595 per unit on: August 21, 2014, 03:20:31 AM
Bitmain,  any updates on the S2 upgrade option as discussed? A lot of us have paid a high amount of BTC/GHs for these, (at least I) with the understanding we will have options to increase hashing power very soon.

Grow the Fuck UP!..  he never said soon, in fact outside of complete speculation the S2 upgrade is a fantasy.
92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 21, 2014, 03:01:20 AM

Pickup is in bulk to get you reasonable prices, give the man a break.

Dogie to be sure I appreciate your work and opinion, due to this I did MUCH more then "give him a break". In fact I gave him 9.7083 BTC, so please spare me your wrath  Wink

Friedcat thank you for the clarity, I was/am disappointed my order was overlooked and missed "the boat" last week.

Grow the fuck up.

Ah, well then an attack. I guess I get to defend my use of such strong language like "slighted", I am sure if I articulate just what I experienced in this process you will find my use of the word appropriate if not logical.

I like several of you spent several thousands of dollars to participate in the "early" distribution. Unlike those who ordered after me, my 9.7083 BTC worth of gear DID NOT ship and will not ship for several more days. I wrote several PM to phasebird, emailed a few times to sales@ over the course of 4 days. NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE!!

So I download QQ, create user, add phasebird, and message..  BAMM response, "oops how did that get missed", "checking into it" and a few hours later DHL tracking. OK they missed me, but hey they are on it now...  oh no I will not ship until end of week, because your process is sloppy and my order fell thru the cracks..  I miss out on 7+ days of 8+ TH/s and this does not constitute an adjustment to atone for a mistake...

I was slighted, I feel slighted now, and because my order will be on the dock for several more days I will continue to feel slighted for sometime to come. I wanted to add my experience in the hope that friedcat would shore up his process. Now that I am aware that it is not wanted or childish to point out a failing or disservice I will be sure to look for a more childish location to focus my BUSINESS!!

FYI Finksy the asshole you see every morning in the mirror, yep it is you.
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ebay chargebacks on: August 20, 2014, 02:52:55 PM
I am giving them a 100% cut, I will just melt the equip for raw materials selling to beginners/competition seemed like the way to distribute network. But with thieving POS (megafarm manufacturers) and now ebay reaching cesspool levels.... overclock the dog-piss out of them, underclock milk them dry, and then melt them!
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ebay chargebacks on: August 20, 2014, 02:29:34 PM
I've been selling on Ebay for several years, but the last 6 months have been triple in claims than the previous year. Like most say, the claim is "not as described".  I've got 2 dragons supposedly showing back up tomorrow from someone playing the system down in FL.  I just put Ebay on notice that the tracking weight is only half of what it should be.

In just the last few months I've actually had someone send me back a burned out AM blade as if it was an S-1.  Ebay gave them full credit for the S-1.  Even though I've got over 400 rating with Ebay, I'm done with them.  Just wrapping up my transactions with them.  Their new terms of agreement are even worse for sellers.

+1

David G. with ebay CS-Resolution center, the "one" who decides my claim has deleted/damaged the message log within their resolution system to hide the fact that the "buyer/scammer" admits to using and discounting/troubleshooting S1 and he still found in their favor, why?? maybe he is in on the scam? anyone else deal with David G. at ebay CS?
95  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread on: August 20, 2014, 11:25:37 AM
Day #2 with shipping label, but no pick-up? Thinking label was printed to placate me. I would rather just have it shipped in the order it was paid for, kind of like the advertisement suggests.. Guess when you are the only one "shipping" you can afford to slight your customers. 30 days until Bitmain ships again, I can not wait as this "deal" is not winning my attention.

At least the 3 evga G2 1300's actually got shipped so power will be on hand when/if DHL ever gets my shipment.  Huh
96  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer S3 support and OverClocking thread on: August 20, 2014, 05:46:46 AM
Noticed that new firmware also resets the "queue" back to 4096, so if you lowered that to reduce discards you will need to mod that again in:

vi /etc/init.d/cgminer

been running a B3 @ 256.25 for 30 minutes will update after a few hours..
97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S3 Overclocking, what's your results ? on: August 20, 2014, 05:01:24 AM
Batch 3
428 @ 212
440 @ 219
452 @ 225
453 @ 225

Batch 5
515 @ 256
440 @ 219
504 @ 250
466 @ 231

what are the code settings for 256? been using 243.75 and it runs well on a few, but then others are doing gr8 @ 250. I would like to bump them up to 256 to see if they can take it.

edit found them :
#option 'freq_value'   '1406'     #256.25M
#option 'chip_freq'     '256.25'
#option 'timeout'       '15'

WOW ton of errors @ 256.25 & 262.5 back to 250 ;(
98  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ebay chargebacks on: August 20, 2014, 01:57:55 AM
Yeah.. ebay always leans towards the "buyer" with all their "buyer protection rah rah"...

Back in May I sold off the last of my Radeon 290s... three weeks later the buyer files a dispute.. but the dumbass admitted to modifying the cards and even said the warranty is more than likely voided... tried to put aftermarket coolers on them and probably fucked shit up, then said they were defective/too hot from factory and wanted a full refund.. He even went full retard and admitted his setup could be to blame as well...

Still took eBay 30 days to rule in my favor and tell him to stfu

Lucky you, this latest numb-skull stated in ebays messaging that he tried to troubleshoot, removed blades, etc. this was his excuse for why it took 28 days to claim miner did not function. he admitted to earning 150+ in BTC, but ebay says he did not violate their clearly stated "buyer must return items in the condition the were received" and in fact IF he sends me back empty boxes... "too bad, we will force a refund" I was floored to hear this from a very public company. ebay does not give 2 shits about the seller, they are planning to replace sellers with wholesale distributors and make a run at amazon. I for one will never use ebay again and pray they fall flat on their face.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ebay chargebacks on: August 20, 2014, 12:29:07 AM
How often do chargebacks occur on mining hardware?  People claiming either they didn't receive or it wasn't described properly.

Ebay always takes the buyers side so how risky is selling your shit on ebay?

I have 3 x S1's coming back to me now, forcibly mind you. Auction was listed as NO RETURNS, NO REFUNDS..  ebay stated "that is your policy, not ours" so after "fucktard" ran my miners for 28 days files claim that item not as described and ebay issued RMA and WILL NOT refund me fees unless I accept terms and issue refund.

I respond SUCK MY ....

ebay recently change from buyer protection to 30 day money back guarantee, DO NOT SELL ON EBAY. YOU WILL GET SCAMMED.

This was 3rd such event since S3-B1 deliveries.
