1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: !! Warning !! Bitget Exchange on: August 17, 2023, 09:44:35 AM
I am using Bitget for more than six months and didn't faced single problem. Withdraw instantly processing without any pending. The highest fund i deposited is 1500$ which i recieved from airdrop. Bitget exchange doing lot of promotion and they hired many Youtubers, influencers to promote their exchange.

I think not only Bitget but every new exchange is risky for big fund. 16 million is very big amount and I wonder why this whale not reported to law team to get back his fund if he is true in his claim. There is possibility of false accusations by this whale as sometimes they have no good setup with each other which results this kind of situation. Anyway we should always use trusted exchange for trading purpose and no need to take risk.

Lol I don't even use the exchange but I'm aware of the incidence between Evan and Bitget back when Indians were pushing the hashtag. Evidences shows that man didn't invest 16 million lol it was 200k that was frozen by Bitget because he dumped his REELT bags on other investors. The exchange said the funds have been used added with theirs, to compensate other investors who got affected from what Evan and other developers of the project did. Not to be biased but I doubt a scam exchange would do that.

He wants to sue the exchange for 16 million tho. OP is capping lol
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: !! Warning !! Bitget Exchange on: August 16, 2023, 01:14:03 PM
I'm just going to leave it here if anyone is interested.
Like OP provided. It's is the same accusation, they are selectively scamming people.

https://www.blockhead.co/2023/04/11/bitget-exposed-as-chinese-scammers-starts-100m-asia-web3-fund/

also the trustpilot revies don't mean anything since people can pay to post fake reviews on that website.

But Evan's case and Bitget is quite a funny and popular one too I'm surprised that not many people here knew about it. I followed up on the case when there was a trend about the exchange scamming its users.
Here's what I found.

Evan who was an advisor for REELT, sold too much of his allocated token upon its listing on the exchange and a few others, thereby crashing down the price of the asset. Here's Bitget's statement to that incident.( It was 200k that was frozen not 16 million as op has wrongly claimed. )
https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603778479

They also made another statement saying they have compensated the affected investors of REELT due to the manipulation of the tokens price. https://www.bitget.com/support/articles/12560603782175

What I found most hilarious is that Evan himself had admitted to selling quite a lot of the token on several exchanges here's a link to the tweet containing the Screenshot of the conversation where he admitted to it. https://twitter.com/lyric_patrick2/status/1643582212678270978?t=30Rx8PM3p6GOPzzS8DcHNQ&s=19

I learnt recently that he had filed lawsuit against Bitget. I'm looking forward to the outcome of that.

For future reference, always include both sides of a story when making assertions to enable readers know the situation and also be able to judge accordingly.

Here's my take.. I'm neither affiliated with Bitget nor have I used the exchange before, but with these evidences of him admitting to selling beyond a reasonable amount of the listed token quite enough to crash its price, I don't think the exchange did wrong for freezing his funds and reimbursing other investors. Just my take tho.

What happened::
I am following one indian youtuber Wise advise for learning purpose. two weeks ago he warn about Bitget exchange with reference of twitter account whose fund seized by Bitget. I wonder to see because this was ny first time i heard about Bitget exchange. I am also using Bitget for small trading purpose. Some days ago Bitget exchange launched Signature compaign too here.

Bro we're not all gullible in this forum.
Here you claimed you've only heard about Bitget for the first time and in the same statement you claim to use the same exchange for small trades. This is really questioning your motive for writing this claims.

I checked out Trust pilot review and found out that many other users fund also seized by Bitget without any warning and customer support not solving their issue.

Reading Twitter post and trust pilots review I strongly believe that depositing big fund is very risky and we should avoid it. as far low fund i think it is safe yet.

Amount Scammed: $16,000,000

Ive used Bitget for over a year and this is the first time they are holding my funds
Similar to another person who recently posted a comment about it being 5 days without an email response to his support ticket. They boast that someone will get back to you about your email ticket in 12 hrs. It has been over 72 hrs and when i speak to the online support chat (for urgent matters only, a link in the email support ticket email) they say "their relevant team needs more time investigating the case". There's no evidence the funds left the exchange. The blockchain shows it went straight into my funded account and into the Bitget wallet with millions of dollars of crypto. This is the first red flag in my opinion and i wont be using them again. This type of shady practices screams of insolvency or a hack they are trying to cover up. Better to use another exchange.

Update 7/27- I have received an email support reply. Saying that my funds are under review and the site shows the funds deposited but not accessible

Date of experience: July 22, 2023

Your reports are actually misleading and inaccurate.

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: coinbase limits buy/sell? on: August 16, 2023, 11:11:14 AM
As mentioned above, your limits will depend on KYC (and other factors): https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/buying-selling-or-converting-crypto/limits-and-account-levels

This applies to all centralized exchanges though and not just Coinbase (maybe different amounts, but the limits are always there).

This is true. I had to do more kyc for to be able to use p2p on Binance

Your money is not safe in the bank.

Your money is not safe as an asset.

Your money is not safe at home.

Do you Know where your money is safe in ?

Your head! Yes in your head!

Invest into that head!

It's always safe there, because you wouldn't fail to make the right decisions.

The fact that you can lose money on a business an can make it back in no time so far as you have the knowledge.

Knowledge is the greatest thing you can give to yourself after christ.

Happy children day from this side of the world!!!

LOL this sọ funny how Should I invest in my head?

20  Other / Off-topic / The Power of Smiling: Embracing Challenges with Grace on: May 28, 2023, 01:49:41 PM
Dear Readers,

Life presents us with challenges that come and go, but it's essential not to let them define us. Instead, we can choose to face these obstacles with a smile, harnessing its power to navigate difficulties gracefully.

A smile is a universal language that uplifts spirits and spreads contagious positivity. Beyond its social significance, smiling profoundly impacts our well-being and ability to confront challenges. It shifts our perspective, strengthens resilience, and reminds us that challenges are temporary.

To embrace the transformative power of a smile:

👉Prioritize self-care for physical and mental well-being.

👉Practice gratitude and focus on the positives in life.

👉Find humor and joy in everyday situations.
👉Surround yourself with positive influences.

👉Share your smile generously, brightening others' days and inspiring strength.

👌Challenges are part of life's journey, but they don't define us. By embracing the power of a smile, we cultivate resilience, nurture well-being, and inspire those around us.
🧏Let your smile be a beacon of hope and a testament to your unwavering spirit.

Remember: Never look like your challenge, for it comes and surely it will go.

Warm regards,

Your friend ✍️.
