MOnero is not moving beyond 0.02 btc range.I invest in monero and was expecting it price to rise but it has proved to be a bad investment for me till now.Seems I have to hold relly long to make profit
This is mainly caused by BOTNETS, which mine monero (it seems that about 30-35% of the entire monero network hashate - botnets). These fa**s increase net difficulty on 25-35% just within few hours. They sell a large amount of xmr and holding price in the range of 0.017-0.018btc And Devs do not do anything  Its a cpucoins problem. Dont worry, with asics the problem change. Remember dash and GTA V miner... a cracked version of the game with a dash miner inside, the virus had 40% of the hashrate! (before asics) |

We are adding another 8TB to our Burst mining set up which once finished plotting we give us just over 24TB. To keep up with the mining difficulty and increase in miners joining every week, we will try and add at least a few TB extra every month.

huge advantage to the gold side is stable price

But my choise is gold, i don't think that btc will cost more then gold (for a long time)
Gold has a very long history of survival during many financial crisis and in this long run gold surely will give a very good profits. But it's prices moves very slow and study so one has to wait for very long time to see some good profits. Bitcoin prices are very volatile and it can move both sides very fast. Every one is just thinking prices may go very high in near future so it is better to invest in both to take the advantages. bitcoin prices are fluctuate so you can gain more profits for short term investment that you can choose but for long term, i think gold is the best. that gold prices rise stagnate from time to time I think people chose gold because they want invest for long term because the price usually stable. not like bitcoin, as you said the prices are fluctuate.
