Economy / Speculation / Re: Even Seasoned Analysts Can Get it Wrong

Anyone can get it all wrong including the professional institutions and organizations who made their own prediction after they would have leverage on many positions using different trading strategies, yet they loose and their prediction fails, this doesn't mean out of all their attempts they are not yet successful in them, bitcoin market is something that can remain unpredictable in most times and change even at the least time we less expect such to happen, while we get it right in most cases, we can still have a wrong speculation and loose from the way we analyze the market flow and direction.

What criteria do you use when buying and selling? Let's share some tips and expertise.
For me, the three most significant factors are as follows: 1. Bitcoin halving. 2. A decrease in currency value due to economic downturns. 3. Sustained participation and growth of investors.
Therefore, I make a continuous effort to stay updated with all the news to track numbers 2 and 3 consistently.
For someone like me, i always try to read and study the market season first, then try to define my own investment plan if it's going under a long or short range investment, obviously we all wat to sell out when the market pumps and will also like to make profits from the little Invested, nevertheless, these may not applies to all traders in the same direction, some make their own profits while the market dumps, some engage in different kinds of trading, so what i want at that particular moment will determine how my investment sell or buy order will go.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ?
|
on: October 02, 2023, 02:53:34 PM
|
With my experience in the cryptocurrency market, I decided to develop a short-term Bitcoin spot trading strategy using the TradingView platform and its strategy programming tool. I managed to create a strategy that yields an average annual return of 20% according to backtesting. My question is, is this return acceptable, or in your opinion, what would be an acceptable or good return?
It's acceptable, 20% annual reward on return on investment is not too bad, if it were to be more than this I would have said its likely not to be true, many people always think about using high yielding return on investment in other for them to get enough satisfaction of their desired profits, but things doesn't work that way in most cases, the higher the return the higher the risk, that is why we shouldn't be too focused on what gives us a quick return or promise on a vain platter.

Maybe you're a newbie and all you could think of is investing your money on any crypto projects and thought about everything will be alright, then that's a mistake because it's like you having a fire on the mountain, there are memecoins we should stay off clear, when we are a beginner, it is mostly advised that we invest on bitcoin only, in other to allow us not to fall into the den of scammers through their shitcoins projects.

|
on: October 02, 2023, 09:27:13 AM

It's time to consider Note-taking applications to avoid content loss. I believe each mobile phone devices comes with it own note pad which i see no reason why we should seek further for other related apps to perform same function, same applies to the use of a computer system, theirs sticky note and the normal note pad which also comes with the system. Do we actually needs to bother ourselves much on getting notes apps from different sources we are not reliable of how they are reputable and good for our safety. Use those note-taking applications to store your post content but don't use them to store your password, wallet seed, etc.
Even without the use of note pad, you can always make a preview to help save your post on the forum draft posts, there after you can access your contents on the draft button right beneath the preview button.

Maybe it's not what is that bad if one should need some money and think about risking getting some through gambling, in this case, he realized that gambling is not an investment, such user is also aware of the risk with gambling for either winning or losing, lastly he's not taking gambling as a steady source of income to sustain or maintain a living, but instead trying out the opportunity to wether something new surprising could comes out while gambling to settle his needs.

Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It?
|
on: September 30, 2023, 01:36:32 PM
|
If we are talking about a global approach on recession, only you cannot face it, but if you're considering the way you could seek your personal interest towards not being affected by the consequences of this same recession, then you need to sit down and think on how you could live an independent economy, how you will be a producer and not a consumer and how you could offer something that will be generally acceptable to the people which will be your own source of livelihood, the more you're less dependent the more likely you're not going to be affected by the global recession because you've already prepared yourself down against such.

Arbitrage and copy trading is the only recommendation i can advise someone to avoid, this is after i have considered the risk involved in the two, but i don't really see anything bad from the other two you first mentioned which is swing trading and DCA trading method, if you could suggest to someone the best offer for trade then i think DCA should be among your first recommendations to give, though i think all these now depends on whom we are dealing with wether they are experienced or not in trading.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi got rid of his private keys?
|
on: September 30, 2023, 12:54:19 PM
|
There are three possibilities:
1. He still has the private keys. 2. He does not have them or cannot access them (this includes his death without leaving them in inheritance). 3. He got rid of them on purpose, as a donation to the rest of Bitcoin holders. Recall his "lost Bitcoin is a donation."
Any conclusion on the exact situation to Satoshi Nakamoto bitcoin he hodl is never a problem to the bitcoin network than to serve as more benefits to the entire network, just as every giant whales are holding their coins and some are releasing theirs and the market remains ever thesame being volatile, for every lost coins, the network receives them back and we see the inference from the market price, since Satoshi Nakamoto himself is anonymous then if his coins remains also unpredictable to the world is never a bad decision, afteral there will always be an opportunity for the market rise and dump each circle we are.

Bitcoin investment, this is the opportunity for someone who wants to invest in bitcoin to invest in bitcoin without looking back If you're a bitcoin investor, then it is expected of you to invest and hold, but after doing that, you're also expected to to monitor your investment and keep track on the market trends and not that you left and leave without having focus on what you have invested in, when you invest on bitcoin, it is also required of you not to release your investment for other digital currencies, not to sell when you should hold and not to handle your wallet security carelessly after making an investment in other not for others to have access to your fund and steal them from you by any means.

Economy / Gambling / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble?
|
on: September 29, 2023, 02:21:02 PM
|
The main difference between day trading and gambling is that gamblers play the available odds while traders develop strategies based on market trends, price movements and past performance. You're right, gambling has a significant difference between trading irrespective of its kind, they will both exist independently and we need a broader explanation to what constitute their differences despite their look alike in some aspects, if you trade, you don't completely loose your money like that in gambling that is winning or loosing at ones. Gambling depends entirely on luck. And those who can do good day trading analysis can definitely tell where the day's trade will go. Gambling is also about how skillful you are in it because some games we play while gambling may depend on luck or skills, while in trading, there's a foresight on the market direction through what the trading chart gives after which you might have speculated the current market status.

Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Issue with Exodus app on mobile phone (android)
|
on: September 29, 2023, 02:05:21 PM

With the way am seeing this OP, there are two things involved in cases like this, the first one is that it's either your device memory is low and needed some apps being deleted in other to help other functions performance, secondly, it's wether you downloaded the wrong app from the wrong website, now here's my advice for you, check the scenario of the two examples I've mentioned above and see if you have not been fallen under any, also know that Exodus wallet is best for beginners, so i want to believe you're a beginner but don't make any funny security bridge on the use of the wallet that may result in you loosing your fund in it.

When I put it in the Marketplace/Goods/Digital goods section with good price and free vauches for forum members, forum admin delete the thread after two days.
The moderators handles everything that has to do with deleted posts, have you considered reading the rules to that thread and that of the forum at large and see if your contents does not violate any of them, secondly, your post might have been reported by several members to the moderator after careful consideration and observation base on the content, if something like this should happen, then try to know why before making an accusation.

|
on: September 29, 2023, 11:41:08 AM

What do you think? How much will Bitcoin pump this October? 👀
October could be the month we have expected to see the bitcoin market price rise from where we are currently to about $35,000 to $40,000 since the last days already have been showing some significant steps to rise as we've attained $27,000 already, if this is maintained then there's every likely possibilities that the bitcoin market may rise more gradually till we get there before the end of the October.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "revival" of bitcoin
|
on: September 29, 2023, 10:49:23 AM
|
What i only understand is the burning of btc. Well, Btc cannot be burned in process of exchanging it on fiat money, it's just converting bitcoin to fiat, but it is still there on the exchanges. The rest i cam't really comprehend, try to use google translate each sentence instead the whole paragraph of what you write.
Aside that people hardly find it easier to comprehend what exactly OP was bringing up, if his idea is actually on bitcoin burning, then he should consider such as an impossible request, though this has been what is common with many of the altcoins we have in the market, but I don't think bitcoin could be better treated this way because it's a decentralized digital currency different from other cryptocurrencies, maybe OP should find a local board he could post to express his ideas better incase he finds it difficult to understand English.

Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses
|
on: September 28, 2023, 10:12:53 AM
|
I think the other casinos mentioned seem to require KYC. Well, it seems that not all of them are legitimate without KYC; maybe at the beginning of the registration they don't have KYC, but later it is possible that the casino platform will demand KYC from their gamblers. If a casino is not requesting for kyc is not the conclusion that they will not make such demands later as long as they are not a no KYC casino, sometimes they make it appears more easy for their users to only have better experience to sign in their portal for registration without requesting them of any thing of such, but if we think on our own self that we don't really want a KYC casino, then we shouldn't use anyone of such and look after the ones that are not KYC casinos So further research is still needed to identify if it is true that the platform mentioned is 100% no-kyc. And there's nothing wrong with investigating and learning to read the TOS of each casino you'll be playing at first.
That's true, how often do we make research on these gambling platforms to know their category they belong if kyc or no kyc casino.

After joining the community, I was confused by so many posts about Bitcoin. Where to start, where to end, which one to read first, which one to read quickly, etc. I lost interest in reading my posts. Just then, it occurred to me that it wouldn't be this way; I have to start from scratch, and to maintain the order and beauty of a place, I have to first obey the rules Even in every government settings, there are rules and regulations and anyone against any of those rules have to pay the consequences attached, the best ticket to enjoying this forum is to first go through the forum's rules and regulations, this will let the user have a direction that will guide his behaviors on this forum if he wish to stay, but non compliance to the rules is the quickest way to end one's stay from here, lastly always don't forget not to plagiarize, this also is common to newbies.

And if there is, I'd love it if the senior members could assist me with it. It seems to me that utilising the bitcoin core on a mobile device won't be much easier for me, so please let me know if you know of any way to store my bitcoin without downloading the complete bitcoin core.
You can try out these recommendations if you finds the use of bitcoincore more of a challenge to you, but know that it's the most secured of all means, yet while using the ones recommended, you will also need to learn how to use them and make the best decision you soughted from sourcing for an alternative. Passport ElectrumSparrow BluewalletAll these are wallets that are non custodial and you can include this cold storage wallet to the list, which is "hardware wallets" try to understand the security practice and things that are expected of you to do with the use of any of these wallets.

Much about bitcoin had already been done, it's our own role left for us to take every opportunity we see through this digital currency to have the best results and profitability through it adoption, how we engage the use of bitcoin in our daily activities also will determine the benefits it will serve us, if we are using bitcoin most in our financial economy, it will help us to evade the negative consequences of economic inflation towards our financial assets whereby it value decreases with fiat while bitcoin will help retain and maintain the economical value of our money when we invested.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cashing Out Thousands of Bitcoin
|
on: September 28, 2023, 08:52:12 AM
|
You were fortunate to purchase five thousand Bitcoin, when it was only pennies a coin, and it's now worth a whopping $130,000,000. This is now sitting in cold storage in your digital wallet, and you want to cash out 100 million usd. It's very simple to do, just know that you don't have to necessarily move the whole money at once, you can do it instalmentally and also if you're exchanging them with an exchange, then try to avoid the same bulkiness of sending or withdrawal at ones, you can also make use of a decentralized no kyc exchange and make use of the p2p network, there's whale alert system that also notifies of any giant move of currency, so in every decision you will be taking, don't just make it suspicious by making huge transaction that could be alarming.
