1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Water Cooled Asic Miner Teardown - ASICMiner Liquid Cooled Bitcoin Miner on: August 08, 2018, 04:36:58 PM
You are registered to porn? I am very confused right now.  Huh

That seems like a personal thing that I would not be putting all over the internet.

all types of miners not just the asicminer and post those videos as well so I don't understand why you are so upset.

Buy a miner and do what you will with it, you are really making a fool of yourself.

kids...

ne way what about asicminer?? did u mean to say somethin like "all miner manufacturers post videos of their miners not just asicminer"?? maybe u cut some of the wrong words out of that part of ur comment or maybe im too dumb to understand what ur tryin to say. the issue is no one has received their miners and there r no third party reviews of the machines and there isnt a single piece of info posted about these miners yet ur tryin to talk folks into buyin them so you make some money for urself. was that short and direct enough for u to absorb or do i have to reword it yet again for u?

y would i give money to asicminer when their hardware hasnt been proven to even exist?? do u have proof that its real or do u have a box with some light up fans?? we have proven that u consider recordin the outside of a machine and whatever is visible through a crack is a tear down but can we establish some actual facts?? or would u rather continue to bullshit folks into buyin hardware that isnt real as of right now??

havent seen ne of the many people ur in convos with that tell u all sorts of great things about the miners post ne thing....so far at least. r u gonna get on providin that proof to support ur claims or just run around pretendin like u havent been confronted with real questions?? i provided what u asked for. u havent provided a single thing so far. i hope u change ur mind kiddo.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Water Cooled Asic Miner Teardown - ASICMiner Liquid Cooled Bitcoin Miner on: August 08, 2018, 01:47:55 PM
You keep saying the same thing. Pony up and buy a miner for your " teardown" or be silent.

goes to prove i was correct about only a single option bein provided. send 5 grand to some ignorant kid to prove u wrong or it doesnt get proven. i also like how u acted like ur someone ur not. was that to also make potential customers think that many dont believe my words instead of the reality which is ur the only one promotin this hardware as legit and helpin folks get scammed?? just adds to the future issue when it all blows up. people with pitchforks do crazy things when they lose a lot of money my friend.

based on all of ur replies im gonna just confirm this is an elaborate scam and ur in on it. no one that truely wanted to provide the truth to innocent folks would do what u have done today and consistantly for the past however many months.

when u wanna put the issue to bed we can discuss buyin the miner but again there r only 2 options available to u when u do that:

1. the miner is proven real and i say sorry in every location i said it was fake in.

2. when its proven that its not legit i wont eat the loss...u will be payin me back for the garbage u tried pushin onto me.

the sooner u pull ur thumb outta ur ass and work on a solution the sooner i can stop correctin ur ignorance. what will it be??

lmao is this kid seriously usin my email to register for porn?? ur info is available online and u thought it was a good idea to act like a child like that?? its 2018...spam filters sift 99% of the spam out and because of new privacy laws companies require that u confirm the sub before u actually get subbed to the list. whats next?? r u gonna go out durin the next rain storm and throw a bucket of water on my car?? bahahaha. at least u have confirmed the huge difference in maturity. this is deff gonna be a story i mention tonight. brings back memories. memories of kids that are so insecure with their sexuality that they really and truly believed that kinda mess was a major "burn". in b4 the kid starts sendin pics of his dick then declarin me gay because i opened the message hahahaha. ok im done with my examples. i did need a break from work so ty for that bud. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

NUMNUTZ2009 seems that you don't even have enough money to buy a miner? Looks like you were offered the miner to buy it in the USA but you refused because you are not happy with his price? It seems kinda off.

Why don't you buy a new machine from the company? Why don't you purchase the miner from him? I thought this was not about ROI and about tearing it down? It seems that you are an angry person and that you were offered multiple solutions to your problem but you still denied.

Until you have enough money in your Piggy Bank to buy any one of these miners I would stop talking about it.  Grin

wrong. the goal is to tear it down. but if u stop and read the emails i posted it explains that lets say the miner is real....what do i do with it since he doesnt want it back after i verify the legitness of it and share the findins with everyone?? he doesnt want it back so please tell me what i should do with the machine?? let it sit in the corner collectin dust?? throw thousands of dollars away that i spent to confirm for everyone if its real or fake?? im supposed to eat 5 grand and suck it up is that what ur sayin?? if thats the case send me the miner for free i will cover the shipping costs. u got the miner for free. i dont want to run it and mine coins with it except for a few hours during testing thats it. i want to see what the "controller" does when its connected to the network. these r all things that have to be properly tested not that this machine is at the lvl of sketch its at.

i didnt deny anything except payin u 4700 bucks for a chance to prove u wrong. im willin to pay a reasonable roi price to risk it but if im wrong and its real u got 5 grand for somethin u paid 0 for and u get increased sales under ur advert link. if i prove u wrong what do i get for my effort?? a miner that isnt a miner and a loss of 5 grand?? so no matter what the outcome is u win. explain how that adds up?? if i paid asicminer directly i would get scammed for 5 grand because i like many others dont believe this is real. im not sure y u say i turned down multiple options when my emails that i posted clearly show only 1 option was give. a single option doesnt somehow equal multiple. an option isnt a cluster of OPTIONS. he said $4700 take it or leave it. if i paid u the 5 grand do i have permission to drive to ur house to get my 5 grand back?? pretty sure u wouldnt like it but i guarantee thats what would happen because i have done it before.

when buyin hardware even when its to do a proper test/verification since ur not capable of doin it properly u should always and i mean ALWAYS base it off of the roi time. ask ne long term miner this. we dont make money by throwin it at the first face we see and hope everything plays out the way we want it to. im willin to throw a reasonable price out there but u couldnt be bothered with respondin to that lol.

also please stop with the silly insults about income or funds on hand. udk me and idk u. i grew outta the phase of flashin money like a moron when i was in elementary school. idc if u think i have a million dollars or 10 dollars. those that have income dont need to insult the income of others to try to win arguments. i have been minin far longer than u have been. much longer than u have been postin videos about it too. u my friend can take that however u choose to take it.

i forgot to ask but y do u keep caps lockin my username like that?? i can see u doin it to the first letter but the entire username seems weird to me...almost like ur tryin to say somethin but dont know the words to use to convey ur thought or idea.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Water Cooled Asic Miner Teardown - ASICMiner Liquid Cooled Bitcoin Miner on: August 08, 2018, 12:38:24 PM
We have all seen you try to troll his video NUMNUTZ2009 - Sorry we don't believe you.  You sound ignorant.

please provide the proof u have about these miners or link me and everyone else to reviews posted by others. no one was able to on the comments i made on the videos and no one can in this thread either it seems.

since im bein called a liar please see below for the exact email convo i had where he tried sellin me the miner for $4700 and at which point he stopped respondin. sorry for the backwards copy and paste but gmail lists the oldest email at the bottom and the newest at the top so read from the bottom up to the top.

u dont have to believe me but i gave a piece of proof to support my claim. what have u provided to support urs?? what has been done to clear up this mess?? everything i said in my long and detailed reply is either based on the info posted on their site directly "specs" or based on you not tearin the machine down like u said u would. the rest is based on reddit and twitter comments made askin where their order is and the lack of a single bit of info about the miners folks have received. if u dont believe facts or conclusions based on the facts what do u believe?? how does ne one believe somethin without ne proof to support their beliefs? even religion has evidence that believers use as a way to support their faith but ur gonna sit here and tell me "im right ur ignorant" and not provide ne thing to back up that statement.

im sorry ur lies didnt work out as well as u had hoped. i hope u do more legit things in the future instead of tryin to push scams onto others so u can get a piece of the earnings. but like i said before i will fully 100% say I WAS WRONG FOR EVER DOUBTING ASICMINER....once u provide the evidence to support ur ignorant claims. i didnt buy into this dragonmint vaporware bitchfit that was happenin before they were released but even they have pictures of the miners...internal images of the miner....all sorts of info. people saw them in person running with a local diag screen displayin shares and hashrate and all that. u havent given ne thing. all u have done is make me and other believe even more the box u claim is a miner is really just a local power draw while the miners u get hashrate from r located in a cloud based system. no large scale miner would buy miners they cant control. thats even more retarded than buyin miners that require asicboost to even work.

Quote
what i want is what everyone else wants which is confirmation about these bein fake or legit. i have the paypal funds ready to go whenever but i will be the one to lose in this agreement. i pay 5 grand almost for a moner that will never break even. if i confirm the legitness durin the teardown u then get sales posted under ur name from me validatin the machine. if i prove its fake and provide evidence to support my claim i then get stuck with a box i paid 5 grand for that isnt worth ne thing to ne one. so explain how ur bein reasonable here?? or were u hopin to cashout before things go south?? i really wanna find out but whos interested in that at the price of 5 grand?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Water Cooled Asic Miner Teardown - ASICMiner Liquid Cooled Bitcoin Miner on: August 08, 2018, 11:52:29 AM
the dude tried sellin me this miner last night lol. after sendin him a post from twitter with a user askin why his order hasnt shipped months after and of a person from china askin how to buy these in china he replied back tellin me basically thats not proof that asicminer isnt shippin what they have sold. i even went on to ask him to please provide the reviews/pics/posts/threads/.....anything that supports the idea that these miners are in fact real. he ignored that part even when i said it in multiple comments again and again. its one thing to overlook it once but a handful of times is hard to brush off and a simple mistake.

the only reason he recorded this video is because i asked him to provide the tear down he promised. keep in mind he replied sayin he created the tear down already showin the internals he just didnt have time to upload it. that claim was a month or so ago. he then records this video last minute yesterday evening and labeled it a "tear down" but doesnt remove a single thing from the miner. he also shoots the entire video from a crack in the miners case. thats the same as claimin me recordin an s9 video through the fins of the fan is classified as a tear down. thats retarded!

ne way to my main point. i told him to put him money where his mouth it and get me one of these miners. i will even pay for a new one once it arrives. i would then tear it down fully and upload all the pics and videos for everyone to see. if its legit i would fully come out sayin im sorry and i was wrong....he replied back sayin i could buy the one he shows in the videos to finally end this "harassment". i emailed him usin the address he provided and was shocked to find out he wanted me to pay him $4700 for the machine he got for free and that isnt even confirmed to be an actual miner yet. he has since stopped replyin to me but at 4700 at the current diff it would take almost 3 years to roi. thats not takin into account increases in diff and the simple fact that no one even knows if this is a real miner.

if u watch his video u will see a standard pc power cord being plugged into the internal psu floatin in the center of the box. this means a specialized power cord wasnt needed like they claimed. u can also see how he avoids showin what he "thinks is the controller" on the other side of the miner. thats a pretty important part but he doesnt show it in his so called "tear down" video. if that wasnt enough everyone should note that these miners dont have a web interface. u cant configure the miner. u have no control over the machine what so ever. in order to do ne "configuration" u have to login to asicminers website using a login code printed on a sticker inside the miner. thats important because if the company runs away again how do u configure ur so called miner?? u cant login locally like u can with every other miner on the market. come to think of it has there ever been a miner that u couldnt config locally?? besides hosted or cloud miners of course....but physical hardware always has the config controlled locally via a controller or ur pc.

also what miner in the history of miners has had as little coverage as these have?? what miner havent been taken apart?? what miner has been "shipped all over the world to many many customers" with not one of those customers posting about them?? there is 0 info about these machines that everyone except folks in china can purchase it seems. this dude even told me people tell him all the time about their miners arrivin but those people have yet to post a single word confirmin these claims hes makin?? not 1 person?? really?? how is that possible??

based on the specs of the miner its pretty large. it also says it has the exact same number of chips in the unit as an antminer s9. since size doesnt really matter when it comes to liquid cooling why is so much free space bein created in a miner they claim is for datacenters and has the ability to pack lots of hashrate into a tiny package?? to me the design looks like it provides very little miner density. they could have used a design similar to the antminer C1 that had everything in a nice neat package or make a slightly larger enclosure to mount everything in that. instead they made this big box with tons of wasted free space in it.

why did they send him a review machine too? he has no cred in this community. reddit has dogged him for his ignorance in the past as well so y wasnt a trusted third party reviewer chosen instead of this clown? he didnt even review it. he recorded himself walkin around the box a few times and turnin the fans on. other than that he showed us nothing of value....except maybe the whole cloud config nonsense. i just hope he remembers that profiting from a scam isnt legal in the us especially if ur helpin push the scam onto others. he just wants to make a few bucks from sellin hardware that is unknown.

im still lookin to tear one of these down so if ne one has one please lmk. im tired of goin back and forth with retards that are clearly tryin to gain from somethin they know is an elaborate scam. this will continue to be one until proven otherwise which hasnt happened in the months they have claimed to be shippin them out so i dont see that changin now. hopefully we see someone actually tear the machine down and show all of us what is really goin on inside that machine because this dude sure as hell isnt willin to do ne thing in a legit way.
6  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Dollemizer Firmware ASICBOOST Comming! [custom s9, s9i, t9 Firmware upgrade] on: August 01, 2018, 06:33:50 PM
That won't fix a hashboard pic programmed for a different miner from a malicious firmware update aka this firmware here.

hes sayin he cant revert to the original firmware. that can mean 2 things...either the board firmware or the controller firmware. if he is havin issues flashin the controller i provided a way around that. alot of miners wont let u go back from a modded version unless you force it and since he kinda left it open to assumption i thought i would pass that info along. he can also try flashin it to see if it also forces flashin of the board firmware too. its not like he has ne thing to lose but as it sits they dont work.

what i find confusin is 2 boards dont work for him...if the firmware did in fact kill his boards all of them would be dead not just some of them.
7  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Dollemizer Firmware ASICBOOST Comming! [custom s9, s9i, t9 Firmware upgrade] on: August 01, 2018, 01:08:11 PM
So the fee is totally out of balance on this firmware. I have been running for 21 hours and these are my results.

748 shares mined to my pools.

1394 shares mined to dev fee pools.

That's more like a 150% fee...

I mean I can manually remove the dev fee pool using the cgminer api and it works fine. But I don't mind the dev fee if its as advertised.

Are there fixes coming for this?

to be fair ur post is misleading. the share count isnt the number u should look at. u can if the diff of each share is the same between both pools but some have a much higher diff so u cant compare one to the other.

either way i wouldnt use this firmware. folks should have known the same firmware used on s9's shouldnt be used with the t9 versions. i dont really consider this part their fault even if they said it might work with the t9 model. its well known that the models are completely different and have different power requirements and firmware configs. it sucks that it happened but take this as a chance to learn and be sure to read up on the machines ur plannin on moddin via software and hardware.

if u want to force the old firmware back onto the machine use the antminer manager app that bitmain has on their site. it seems to get around the wrong firmware error when flashing custom firmware images. just download the app and the official firmware for ur model miner and connect to it using the app. u have to import the firmware u downloaded to the apps repo but u can figure that stuff out. i have used this to force flash miners that wouldnt accept the official update so i know it works but i havent used this threads custom firmware but it should have the same result.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: June 28, 2018, 12:46:10 PM
As much as I wanted to get this unit  today I purchased 2 s9i's  for 1265 usd shipped to my home in USA NJ.

[...]

lol wait...first u accuse folks of tryin to "smear" u and u admit that u havent even paid for the hardware u promised u were going to pay for (uk...to prove ur not a shill for halong). u then accuse people bad mouthing halong and the t1 (including me of course since i have posted about u and halong) of bein paid shills but have 0 proof to back up ur claim (i have yet to receive a single piece of hardware or a single dime for my comments) even though u have been exposed as receiving free gear and not payin for it....then if that wasnt enough of a reason to dislike ur ethics u go and say u sold 2 of the miners u havent even paid for?? 2 of the miners u were given for FREEEEEEE?? u have the nerve to accuse us of bein shills when u have profited from bolstering the rep of a shady company?? where r my free miners?? where is my money?? most of all whats ur excuse for not payin now?? ck didnt rely on u for testing the firmware. he had many other testers out there. ur usin excuse after excuse for y ur not payin but ur excuses have run out. u sold miners u didnt pay for...explain y u havent paid again.....

then u take the money from sellin miners u didnt pay for to buy antminers that u claim r total shit. if halong miners were so great and efficient y the hell would u get rid of them phil?? everytime u reply on here u dig urself into an even deeper hole. idk y grown ass men have to lie about stuff like u have been. im not sure y ur rep would be worth a few free miners either. im just glad i can point out ur shadiness because i doubt others have taken the time to read through the many posts in the dragonmint threads.

also just wondering....but has ne one ever thought about the possibility that halong is really inno?? i mean is it that hard to branch off into a dummy company to try to push shitty hardware onto people without messing up the inno name ne more than they already have?? a throw away company that no one knows ne thing about does make sense. its also known that these miners are all from inno so if inno is doin the work of designin the miners and makin everything y would they stop at the last part and let someone else sell them...unless they r halong.

idc either way it was just an idea.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: June 14, 2018, 04:12:57 PM
im still confused about y supports keep claiming all thats needed is a little this and a little that. im even more confused about y phil insists on tryin to throw s9's under the bus (not really because ik the free hardware is his reason isnt that right PHIL?Huh??) with examples of the s9 being ableto use asicboost too. u keep comparing apples to oranges phil. please stop doin this phil. its annoying having to read post after post full of you talkin outta ur butt throwin half asses examples infront of people hopin they agree with u. like i have done more times than i care to count let me spell out the diffences for u and everyone else that might see my posts:

Bitmain/S9

1. listed the hashrate at 11.83th/s when released. the hashrate was on point. later revissions listed the hashrate at 12th/s, 13th/s, 13.5th/s, and even 14th/s (if i mssed a speed sorry i cant keep track of EVERY number). All listed miners and revissions mined at advertised speed with variations well withing the info provided before buyers could purchase them. in other words the hashrate listed was 100% provided and if not they worked to resolve it.

2. they listed the miner as a bitcoin/similar miner. this required 0 changes at the pool lvl to allow the miners to mine there. the list of pools seems endless at this point so i wont go into the details but this promise was followed through with.

3. the power consumption listed was the consumption seen when folks got their miner and this was verified by many people doing amateur reviews of the machines and also by companies. in other words the promised numbers matched.

4. shipping of the s9's was on time from what i can remember. i dont recall a time when the s9's werent sent on time but i know bitmain had a delay with their l3+ miner that i wasnt happy about. bitmain has always provided something to make up for situations like coupons or refunds and i have seen this with multiple models of their machines. i would say 95% of all their miners were sent on time in the window promised. delivery dates are not their problem since every country has different laws for imports and thats causes the largest delay usually.

Halong/T1

1. the listed hashrate is dependent on asicboost which they didnt tell people when they ordered them. they kept it a secret from buyers and the public. the listed 16th/s hashrate isnt achievable for people. they also tried forcing the push to send out underperforming hardware knowing it failed testing. so they lied about the numbers hard

2. they expected pools to change their code to implement something that was forced onto them. i guess they thought every pool would want to have the priv of having dragonmint miners running on their pool?? seems arrogant to me!

3. hid their info about their business and employees so no one knows who they are dealing with.

4. the power consumption is much higher then advertised and the only way to hit those numbers is to lower the speed so you cant ever hit the advertise power/hashrate numbers.

5. instead of compensating buyers for them lying they ignored them even though people paid a premium to have "the most powerful and efficient bitcoin miner".

6. the list goes on really...............

numnutz2009

1. Hasnt received free hardware or money from ne company so my opinions are based on the facts not what im paid to say.

philipma1957

1. talked mad shit about halong mining and their business practices until they sent him free hardware. he made a post assuring everyone that he was going to pay nearly $7k (i believe thats the cost he posted in or about) in bitcoin to halong because he wasnt given free hardware. when asked if he paid he replied with no i havent paid yet which that reply was already way after he claimed he was going to. he provided no payment verification to back up his claim that he was going to pay and has since started ignoring every post related to him proving that his words r his own and not ones hes paid to post. he also had no issues with receiving hardware at a special discounted black friday rate of $1500 even though he wasnt going to be buyin them until way after other folks paid $2k+ per machine. he thought it was fair for him to also be put at the front of the line...ahead of folks that paid months and months ago. special pricing (free) plus expedited delivery ahead of everyone else....some people r just easily bought. shameeeeeeeee mr phil. shame indeed.
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 dead hash board repair needed on: June 13, 2018, 08:25:02 AM
Just thought i would also add for all u guys that had/have/will have boards die after switchin coins or after losin power and so on chances are ur boards can be saved. Often times the boards will run fine hot which causes the solder to expand and when u reboot the miner or change the coin the miner stops hashing and runs the fans full speed which cools the boards back down causing the solder to shrink. Once it shrinks it isnt makin contact with the pads somewhere so the miner shuts that board down. Its usually as simple as that in those situations so please stop assumin the change in mined coin or ne thing else caused ur miner to stop workin...its just because it stopped hashing in general.

As for other guys/gals with other issues...well that can be ne number of other things so i will leave that to the other dudes handlin those questions lol.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: May 30, 2018, 05:31:06 PM
Agree. Time to get more efficient period without asicboost.

Translate this  and you are saying let bitmain  keep its secret asic boost on its own pools.

Anyone against halong or inno_silicon  using asic boost is supporting bitmains covert asic boost.

lmao phil just stop postin buddy. This reply is an all time low for you. Not one person (that i have seen in the many posts about it) have said these people r wrong for usin asic boost. every post has been geared towards them bein dogged for forcin asicboost on customers without tellin them. they charged a premium and lied to their customers and hid behind a computer screen pretending like the issue wasnt an issue. You know what happened phil. stop allowing your free hardware that you were supposed to pay for but magically didnt have to cloud ur judgement and encourage u to spew such nonsense. evey shit post u make slides a little further down that hill. its terrible to watch!

u and i know y they forced asicboost on customers too. it was the only way they can fudge the numbers enough to make their miner look like its the fastest most efficient miner. in reality the s9 which is 2 years old running at stock speeds with a proper psu with no asicboost turned on hits numbers above what the t1 does. asicboost adds about 20% efficiency so that 16th/s (that they cant ever hit ne way) is actually 20% lower. that wouldnt help them scam customers so the only option in their mind was to force asicboost so they can justify postin those numbers. just think what would happen if the s9's has asicboost unlocked?? which is already confirmed to be working by multiple other folks. not covert either....the same as the t1. what would halong and inno do then?? i picture a kid stompin on the ground upset because even with lies and number fudgin they still lost.

but the facts were already laid out there for u....free hardware blinds folks. hopefully u wont be trusted with that task in the future.
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 4in Shrouds vs 6in Shrouds what makes a miner cooler? on: May 30, 2018, 05:07:34 PM
u dont need to buy the fan shrouds. I made them a while back but found that they werent needed. if u want the best cooling u have to first tell folks if u have a drop ceiling or are you trying to run duct to some cobbled together window setup. if its the former u will want to mount the miners on legs so they are vertical not horizontal. you can then run ducts up to the drop ceiling panels and cut holes slightly smaller than the duct tubing so it stays snugly in place. 6in or larger and stretch it out completely so there are no rippled and pull it over the exhaust fan of the miner. if its the later then regular ol duct work isnt somethin i would recommend unless you have something on the other end also pulling the air through the tubing. I havent ever been able to get any benefit from running duct work to a window or whatever. the only temp lowering solution i have found to work is running it into a drop ceiling. just running duct tubing horizontally will do more harm than good usually.

All my s9's are vertical with duct running up into the ceiling btw...this isnt me speculating. I also have a huge ass exhaust system pumpin the air from the miners into the building chiller but it has been done in none commercial environments too.

The cooling of multiple tiny heatsinks isnt even especially on the s9’s since they r often put on at varyin angles making airflow harder. Some chips will get more cooling than others. With a solid one the fins would be in a perfectly straight row and it would have the added bonus of transferin heat from other chips that r hotter to chips that are running cooler. It doesnt allow the density like sidehack mentioned and im not sure ne one likes the epoxy idea. I liked the old screw and tension spring method but they get paid the big bucks to design these things not me. Even so many do agree about the epoxy part lol.

maybe i missed it phil but did u post the payment info for the miners u said u were payin for?? the last place it was left off at u were sayin u were about to pay but suddenly started ignorin the posts made about it. i havent forgotten at least even if u have...

seems like these machines arent really much more stable than other miners out there. im seein info on board failures scattered around pretty early in their release which sounds like bad news lol.

i will confirm that customers payin shippin back in the us isnt the "norm". i would say maybe a 50/50 depending on the brand or company u purchased it from. samsung, asus, lg, htc, apple, microsoft, sony......the list goes on really all send prepaid labels to return items that are defective. depending on the item them also send return boxes for things like TV's and laptops. bitmain requires the same thing halong does when doin a warranty claim so technically they arent ne better or ne worse at the warranty process. i dont feel too bad for us folks since flat rate boxes can handle shipping cheaply but non us folks prob have to pay way more than we do which is unfortunate but that is how it works in this industry unfortunately. it would be nice to see a company stand behind their machines a little better though instead of putting all of the responsibility for the return of failures on the customer but until one of them does none of them will. that and the places people decide to run miners is crazy. hot ass sheds or in barns and so on.

To add, these people did not have pre-orders for other machines such as the E3,Z9, B3, etc. They dont seem to have inside information on other machines but they have it on S11 lol. Also the BM1387 is the T9/S9 chip lol.

It is possible that there is an S11 but if bitmain release an S11 now, alot of people will be pissed. They dont have any real competitors right now for bitcoin anyways. S9 pricing is too good to pass up against competitors. No reason to release an S11.

U r partially right...they r one of the best out there speed to power wise at stock speeds which isnt achievable with other machines right now but to be fair others r close. I personally dont like them and have made that known but halong has a miner that can be underclocked even if it is cheating with asicboost and not pure hashrate like the s9 is. If bitmain has the s11 in hand and r plannin on sellin them soon that would blow every other miner away for probably years to come again. So far 2 other makers that i know of tried 10nm chips and both were unable to beat the 2 year old antminer s9. No one can deny that holdin that title for 2 years deserves a pat on the back.

With a new antminer i hope they return to a previous design with a solid heatsink with actual thermal paste not thermal adhesive like they have been using since the s5+ miners. I know it will take up some more space but the ability to use high quality thermal paste and have quieter fans with more even heat distribution (since the heatsink will be 1 solid piece all the gaps between the current design would help evenly spread the heat over all the chips instead of just that 1 chip) would deff make up for that added space in my opinion. I know others in data centers r more worried about density and the more they can pack in the more they make everyday but in my care im strugglin with findin enough power to run all my machines...i have the space...tons of space but not enough breakers in both locations to handle the load of more machines so i have to figure that out or stick with the 2 locations i have now :/.

Question : on a working Hashboard, when powering it up with only 12v rails and not conected to a controller,  is the red Tf led supposed to stay solid red?
Ca someone who poseses god miners and defect boards test this?
This ,I guess, would be a quick and easy method to see wich board is defect on your machine when one board is going defect...
(And give me a hint when a repair was succeful or not)
A solid red Tf led could indicate wheter clock and data lines are broken between the first and last chip on the chain and could prevent people from seeing "magic smoke" when trying to test boards...

Regards,
Mihai

the boards i have repaired light up when they are connected to the controller and start hashing. when a miner doesnt detect the board i look for the one without the red led on and thats the one that failed...in my case at least. i could be wrong but i think the light only comes on when the board is being checked for connection to the controller....when the chips are being checked and tuned....and finally it stays solid when the miner is actually mining away. hope this helps.

This delay in shipping is pretty bad.
Regardless if this is a better product than the S9 or not.
Mining is a time sensitive endeavor and if you market April delivery it should be in customer's hands in April.
Still no ship date. Huh
I have two orders "processing" paid in full at time of order
#1466 qty (5)
#4811 qty (3)
Every day is lost revenue until they are in my hands
This is shit customer service plain and simple
They should at least be able to tell you ship date
Every week is approx. 0.05 BTC lost - $500.00
Two weeks you could have a S9 (used) paid off and mining for profit
I regret ordering these  Angry

be sure to check them and make sure they mine to spec. they wont but make sure the hashrate is within the specs promised/the specs others have been gettin. that pic MR posted showin the underperforming machines that halong was forcing them to push out to customers seems a bit worrying tbh. not to mention everything else lol.

@ yankees

I can't show payments to  MyRig  for 7500 because I have yet to make them.

I also realize showing a $7500 dollar payment  to MyRig for 5 T1's and 5 psu's  would prove that it was sent, but not prove I was not sent the same 7500 back in LTC or ETH or whatever.

I have concentrated on the Avalon 841 lately as I did get one for free when buysolar  was sent to China  avalon said they would send one for free to us.

@ frodo  I know you will most likely delete this  feel free to do as you please.

lol when someone else comments about it u reply to them.

it would also have to be a known address not just a random one. u posted saying u were makin the payment that day which was what?? a week ago?? more?? its been a long time. this is sketchy tbh. sending a btc payment takes a matter or moments not days and weeks. at this point even if a payment was made many wouldnt believe it since u have been draggin ur feet for a very long time so far and dodgin the situation all together. faith = lost

Are we looking at a lot of undelivered gear?
Or a lot of bitmain shils attacking with accusations of undelivered gear?

I have seen proof of gear sent to :

philipma1957
dimaze
elokk

I have seen MyRig apologize for late shipmints
I have seen numnutz2009 attack philipma1957
I have seen frodocooper alter many posts
I have seen frodocooper delete many posts

I have to ask myself wtf has happened here?

After reading this over a few times.

I have concluded philipma1957 can not prove he paid for them even if he shows a payment of 7500usd in btc to MyRig . I would say How do I know MyRig did not send him the money back in LTC.

I have concluded the gear works better then S-9's  if you mine  on the 4 pools available.

I have concluded people should have listened to philipma1957 when he said wait to order them. If they did that  they would have know of the limited pools to mine in.

I also ask myself why  don't other pools add the gear?  This is the most interesting question yet to be answered.

I know you can prove you have gear.
But proving you ordered gear and proving it never came is harder to do.

Shame it is such a mess.

The gear  has pretty good firmware due to -ck updates.
And the s-9  does not have firmware flexibility  that this one does.
The Avalon 841 seems to have issues with heat, but philipma1957 has been working on that along with megaquake.

Here is a note to frodocooper please don't  alter this post I want to show the three major miners in context.

u forgot the part about the only way to get the miner to be more efficient is to underclock and lower the voltage of the miner. running at stock speed doesnt yield anything close to what they promised people. also people that didnt wait for phil....hes not the last word on the subject. many outside of this forum ordered as well im sure. they werent told there were going to be 2 pools only at launch. they had no idea what they were required to use asicboost with these machines. have any of u guys even bothered asking bitmain for an overt asicboost firmware image?? uk they do put u in touch with engineers at bitmain if u have valid requests right?? this is me speakin from experience not what i read so ik it to be factual and not just pulled from the internet or other forums.....

still no info posted by phil proving he paid for his miners. he has read my posts and posted in this thread and others since then...ne word on when ur gonna prove this or can i go back to my original claim about u gettin free hardware and changin ur opinion because u were paid to??

Here's a question for you Mr. Nutz....hopefully it will help you see that ASICBOOST on a S9 isn't reality.....Hypothetically, let's say that there really is ASICBOOST built into the Hardware of the S9 chip.  Credited knowledge about how to implement is prevalent as you say on the web.  Are you telling me that not one person has gone and tried this?  And lets say that one person tried this, do you think that they wouldn't tell someone?  Okay, so maybe there is one person that tried it and succeeded, but decided to keep mum about his 20% boost over EVERYONE else in the network.  Sure, that would be a smart move.  But now lets say that there is more than one person that read what you read, tried it, and succeeded.  Do you think that person is going to keep mum?  Okay, lets say he does.  But, how many people do you think it takes before someone says something and shows proof of it running AB?  I'd venture to guess not that many....

Now, lets look at the other option....lets say that there is good information on how to turn on AB in S9, but nobody has actually tried it.  Long shot, but lets just say that thousands of people have read the info, but not a single one has tried and succeeded....okay, now here comes along Peanutz.....he finally gets some time away from his booming hardware repair business to break out his terminal and bang away at the keys.  Low and behold, a few copy and pastes, and wah lah....Bob's your uncle!  He flops his nutz on the table and claims victory all across btctalkland!!!

Come on man.  Does any of the only two possible scenarios sound reasonable to you?  I know you are young as evidenced by lack of ability in spelling, but you have to look at the big picture, all the details, and look at whats likely; because 99.9% of the time, that is what is reality.

I honestly cannot say that AB is or isn't available on S9.  Nobody but bitmain knows, or someone that has xray'd the chip.  That being said, if you look at all of the evidence and possibilities out there, it just does not seem plausible......

If I were you, I would slow down, think about what you are writing.  Use proper punctuation; and please, for the fucking love of BTC, write out your words using all of the letters as in the dictionary.  If you continue to write like T9 text on a phone, by the time you have kids (help us all), your family will be speaking and writing in two letter words.... xu so we id op ux sw qi od ob.....

Here is one last tidbit of info to ponder.....AB whitepaper was release in March 2016.  Batch 1 S9 starting shipping June.  It would be nearly impossible for Bitmain to get info in March, and get new ASIC through foundry with hardware changes needed to do AB and ship in 3 months.  If they had already figured out how to do it prior to Timo Hanke, then basis of patent would be void to begin with because it would have already been discovered and done.  And when BDPL was announced, Bitmain could come out and say they knew how to do this all along, and implement then with f/w change.  None of which has happened.....

look online. People over on peercoin forums noticed someone using asicboost to mine....turned out to be s9 miners running on a private pool with a firmware that enabled it. Check reddit where the person that brought it up said he is using it personally on his miners as well. so in short before u call me out and get high and mighty actin like a douche be sure to look and see what others have said. the s9 hardware is able to do COVERT and OVERT asicboost. This has been confirmed by multiple people and also by bitmain directly. if u had searched before replyin i wouldnt have to waste time responding to just u....or maybe 2112 will chime in about his post from april 4th 2018?? the info is out there big guy.

also where did i say i was a software guy?? if i had the skill and tools to do what is required dont u think i would do it and would happily prove u right or wrong?? didnt u stop and wonder y i keep saying "others" or "people on forums" or even "bitmain" and not "I"?? is this really that hard to understand.

if u had a phone with t9 u would know y words get shortened. Years and years of doin it has made it a habit. accept it or dont but dont judge someone because ur too young or too ignorant to know that txt messages used to have a 160 char limit so in those days every letter mattered not to mention it takin longer to enter a full word using the keypad. membahh kid...phone didnt always have a screen as the entire face. we didnt used to touch shit to type. open ur mind a bit and think about how this used to be not how they r now. mkay??

as for whitepapers let me ask u this...since we r talkin about this hypothetical situation kinda tone....when a paper is written is it written and released on the same day?? do they come from ideas that are collectively discussed in many many ways including in person and online?? so since its safe to assume the whitepaper wasnt thought of and written on the same day would u happen to know when the idea was first discussed?? and if uk that can u tell me also who it was talked about with and where at?? again dont jump into a convo ur not a part of and tell me im wrong but in the same message claim that udk if its true one way or another. just take the time to look and read the discussions about this stuff. if u cant be bothered to do that dont waste peoples time by writing replies.

as for others using it on an antminer s9 and making it publicly known....uk what happened when people created custom s9 firmware right?? they used cgminer and added tons of features to multiple bitmain miners and folks shut the project down. this has happened to 3 people if im remembering correctly. they started throwin legal stuff out there even though the firmware was benefiting the community as a whole. instead of working through the issues while keeping it alive they wanted to act first and discuss it later unfortunately. Thats y u dont see custom firmware for the s9.

thanks

also still waitin for phil to respond about payment tx info to confirm that his payment was actually made. he has ignored that part in all of his replies even when i made it easier to see so i know he has seen it. he wants me to remove my comments but he wont give the proof to back his claim that he didnt get free shit up.
