Never argue with JJG.

Let's buy some extra coins for our British friend rjclarke. Push that bitcoin! Cheesy

If you all do that you are more than welcome to come and have a big party at mine. The wife won't be happy but there you go.

The adress? :p

On a more serious note it seems that everyone is pushing this as hell!
So... Time for shorting no?

We all know what happens after a little upwards movement. Unfortunate but I'm expecting this next week. We shall see. I hope I am wrong.

Over €1,000 euros now... please stick, please stick, please stick!!!  Tongue

Over £1000 would be nice next.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 18, 2017, 09:02:01 AM
My guess: we will never see $800 again.

That is very brave to say! I agree as long as the ETF is approved. If not I expect a drop to possibly the 800s.
706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2017, 02:49:28 PM
Us Brits still won't be having a 4 digit party for a little while yet.

Ah, but it'll make it all the sweeter when it arrives. I remember someone on Localbitcoins had an ad going for ages urging people to make history by being the first to pay £1000 when everyone else was a few hundred cheaper. I think that's a reverse psychology too far.

It'll happen this year I am sure. I've hodled long enough not to worry about it.

An extra early good morning Bitcoinland.

I'm glad I went to bed early last night. It means I get to watch some action as it happens.

The smooth, steady uptrend continues... currently $1047USD (Bitcoinaverage).

C'mon Bitcoin, let's invite those Europeans to the 4-digit party.

But, but, but... so many experienced and knowledgeable TA traders said price should go down. Why does it keep creeping up?

Isn't that an oxymoron?

So now we've had a little drop I see. Did it get to €1000? Was that the sell signal?
709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2017, 10:07:30 AM
There is a LOT of buy support over the last few days, much higher than normal.  Instead of 5, 10, or 20 blocks of coins being purchased, there's a steady stream of larger whale buys of 100 coins at a time.  This indicates one of three things:

1)  Someone is front running a Bitcoin ETF approval w/ insider trading

2)  Someone has no idea if the ETF will be approved but is buying just in case

3)  There were some insolvent Chinese exchanges that are now having to purchase at top dollar

I'd say number 3 seems like the probable answer. What do you think?

Edit. It could be all of them! 3 of 3

this week has been terrible, all the sideways movements makes bitcoin price a headache.

That's a new one. I thought it was all the ups and down that made price a headache  Tongue

I find it's the ups, downs and sideways

I have to say, I am considering liquidating my position... However, the optimist and dreamer in me wants to hold tight for an ETF approval. BUT, I would hate to miss out on selling at 1k and buying back at 500, you know? Too much like gambling to me, and I do not do well at gambling...

Looks like you've answered your own question.

HODL on.

Love the information you put out Afrikoin. Great work. Thanks

My rough estimate of #bitcoin price if an ETF is approved. i.e. Markets speculate $500m-$1b to be injected if approval probability is 25%.

I can live with that.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 15, 2017, 11:27:36 AM
I'm getting bored now.... *yawn*

Bored at $1000 is pretty darned cool when you think about it. Imagine predicting that a couple of years ago.

I can't wait to be bored at $20k
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Central Banks & Bitcoin - What if they start accumulating? on: February 15, 2017, 09:32:00 AM
My opinion is most of us here will be very well off and potentially very rich in the future if we hodl and accumulate as much btc as we can now.

This may be a 5,10,15 year plan but be patient. There aren't enough to go around so get your btc onto a paper wallet and make copies and store them in 2 separate locations in fire proof safes.

Thank me in the years to come.
716  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the odds of Winklesoss ETF passing? [POLL] on: February 15, 2017, 07:10:24 AM
People thought it was crazy to suggest trump could be president, people thought Britain would not vote for Brexit.

Anything can happen.
717  Economy / Speculation / Re: New down trend. $1000 definitively broken. on: February 14, 2017, 04:20:57 PM
My prediction was wrong, but be careful with your dismisal. This only means the manipulation is bigger than i expected and the fall will only be harder when it comes.
Shorts are building up rapidly.

I do agree with this but only if the ETF doesn't happen. Then I think it'll be bad news.

I'm just waiting for the next "china bans BTC" to buy more cheap coins. Dumps are good because it allows the spread of BTC wealth worldwide in some way.

It's a gamble.

If sec say no to winky ETF then you'll get cheap coins then. For the short term.
