Confirming that the Bitminter mining pool has been resurrected and is now operating as the XBTO Digital Pool.
We have retained our original team, added new members, and continue to operate from our original North American data centers with updated servers.

Updated 2 x S9's today with bitmains new asicboost firmware...

have been testing asicboost on bitminter for a few hours now with no issues..
packet capture and wireshark show its working.. slight decrease in hash power, 14.01 Th to 13.80...

I have not yet measured power to see what exactly the decrease in power usage is yet.
the miners seem to be running about 8C cooler than ones with original firmware so im guessing that is a good sign its saving power.

you guys may not know this but doc added the asicboost code to the pool back in April, just had to wait all this time to test it Smiley

 Great Job Doc! It works!

That moment when your entire neighborhood loses power and you immediately think your miners are to blame. Either way the worst news is the zero shifts being recorded as I wait for the power company to figure it out. Let's all take a moment and pray for the bigolin house to have power restored quickly, and this block to crack even quicker!

Go look for a smoking transformer out back. Smiley

There is a (POSABLE) new miner out called Dragonmint miner. I saw it on Ebay for preorder and on Bitcointalk. It's supposed to hit 16TH. If it is legit it's great for mining and it's not Bitmain's. Launch date is March/April My advice is to wait and see before putting any money into a preorder.

The Dragonmint miner is real! I have had physical contact Smiley

Quick question: on the SP31's I seem to have issues with the bottom psu's having the orange/red light errors, and half the box stops hashing.

I have over 30 SP units, 30's 31's 35's and only the SP31's seem to do this. and its always the bottom psu...

any suggestions?

Indeed.  Congrats on hitting a year.  How long have the rest of you been mining?  I jumped in around the beginning of the year.

Signed up with bitminter July 19, 2011, got my first bitminter block Oct 8 2011...

I think when I first started here bitminter had only found like 3 blocks so far Smiley

Love this pool!  thanks doc!

I got a new toy.

Nice!

Take some of your transformers! Smiley

Check out the Flir E4, they can be upgraded to the higher res versions with a easy firmware hack.

Well after a lot of fooling around I have everything almost back 100% with 2.5.13

now should I let the temps drop below 0c and see what happens? Smiley
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 10, 2014, 08:23:32 AM
5 out of 10 SP30's seem to have failed after about 10 hours with the new firmware 2.5.6

Intake air temps have also dropped down to about 5-10c

CGminer status is : Not Running
Minergate is: Running

all loops are showing disabled.

LOOP[0] OFF ((null))
0: disabled ((null))
1: disabled ((null))
2: disabled ((null))

Have tried rebooting and power cycling. do these things not like the cold?

any suggestions?

Hey guys... When can we expect October Batch 1 shipping?  Now they are shipping at the end of October?  Why is that?  How long will shipping be to Canada once it leaves the door in Israel?

Thanks

Where in Canada?  My SP30 came from Tel-Aviv to Toronto in 3 days ..and DHL needed another 2 days for customs clearance. One day in the middle was "Labour day" .. heh.
Overall, it was shipped Wednesday, August 27, 2014, and I had it mining Wednesday, September 03, 2014.

Good to know - located in Winnipeg, MB here....  I was hoping the shipping would not take like 10+ days.   I still want to know why there are delays.  We made this purchase in the first few days of September.

Mine took a bit longer. it was 3 days, Tel-Aviv to Ontario someplace, then another 10 days before it was in Winnipeg.
Shipped on the 15th got it on the 30th..

Hey Fefox, is that allso the hash power you talked about almost a year ago??

Nice to see you got more power working, hope to have more hash power hopefully around Januari my self.

I canceled a bunch of hardware and went with spondoolies, also had to do a massive electrical upgrade that took forever to complete.  still have loads of hardware to get online this winter Smiley

I'm starting to feel like I  might have broke the pool with that last block... Smiley

when will it end!!!  Cry

----

so as for my unseating, well I have a bunch of miners on order, but more importantly im trying to build up my datacenter, right now I have only 25 tons of aircon and im also trying to build out a 10-20Mw substation to feed it depending on what the power company will allow..

I wont be pulling ahead of Koi anytime soon, but this fall will be interesting.
