I am willing to bet all I have that Atlas wouldn't stand under any amount of money to compromise his moral preferences.

You are Atlas, correct?

I like the new interactive graph, but what exactly is being displayed by the bottom graph (the one that controls the time range displayed in the top graph)?  The regular little dips in it are kind of strangely uniform, and I'm wondering what they are.

That's your perspective.

Please prove my perspective wrong by linking to contests you've started and finished.

Heh. I always go by GMT.

No, that's your answer when people remind you that you forgot to specify it.  Every one of these stupid contests you post involves a whole bunch of rules clarification because you don't think things through, and even then, it just gets abandoned.  Have you ever proposed a contest and actually seen it through to the end?  You couldn't even finish your "last post in this thread gets 1BTC" contest.  Face it, you're an idiot and you've never done anything remotely close to displaying the trustworthiness you boast about.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: Predict the day Matthew N. Wright deletes his BitcoinTalk account. on: November 17, 2011, 01:40:40 AM
How many poorly-specified contests are you going to attempt to set up?  This is at least the second one where time of day is critical, but again, you've failed to specify the timezone the contest will be judged in.  You're an idiot.  Given that you can't even think through the rules of your contests before announcing them, why would anyone expect you to actually follow through?  You'll just come up with some lame excuse and close it down.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if someone dumps a million dollars into the market? on: November 16, 2011, 12:53:30 AM
if you bought 1 mill coins at a fixed price.... weather 0.20$ bellow or above market value... the price would definitely go up after the order is filled.

that's about 400,000BTC. supply goes down, demand is the same = price goes up

LOL, yeah it's just that simple.  How do you even know your $1MM order will be filled?  It could take months.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if someone dumps a million dollars into the market? on: November 15, 2011, 05:17:04 AM
Define "dumps."  If you put in a market price order for a million dollars, the price goes through the roof and you get brutally raped by buying bitcoins at ever-increasing prices until the market runs out of sellers or you run out of money.  If you put in a bid for a million dollars at a specific price that's below the market price, you might influence the price towards that price, but you might not.  If you put in a bid for a million dollars at a specific price that's above the market price, the market price would immediately bump up to exactly your price, and you'd have bought however many bitcoins were outstanding with Asks below that price, plus have a giant outstanding order left over.

I haven't touched a thesaurus in a long time. My language is fine. You don't prefer it but it's fine.

How is your effort to speak in BE1500 going?
9  Other / Meta / Re: RFC: new forum software specifications on: November 01, 2011, 08:09:19 PM
Last chance to suggest features for the first version. I'll start a bidding thread this weekend.

Did this thread ever get started?  I can't find it (btw, a way to search for threads started by a particular author would be useful in the new software Wink)

Man, the way the market's going these days I think I could use a bitcoin toilet plunger.
11  Economy / Lending / Re: Help me so I can help you on: October 19, 2011, 03:09:18 AM
The next stage will involve constructing large structures that will sell for 1000+% what they cost.

Attention investors: I plan to do the same thing, except I will make structures which sell for 2000% of what they cost.

North America
South America

You probably didn't know that there's a country which is commonly referred to as simply "America," even though that's not its official name.  Now you do.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: You may see the language in the posts I make as limited. on: October 14, 2011, 10:17:20 PM
I have not written like that.

Dude, that shit is spartan compared to some of the things you've written.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Show on OnlyOneTV.com on: October 14, 2011, 09:57:25 PM
simply refuse to learn from others, and keep trying to figure out and fix things themselves
...
America, being only 250 years old, thinks it knows better and can figure things out better on its own
...
kicking our ass when it comes to math, science, and culture
...
so arrogant
...
throwing shit ideas at the wall to see what sticks
...
throw money at the problem to make it go away, instead of picking the best ideas from all parts of the world to be the best period?

God damn, I think you just wrote the next verse to the Star Spangled Banner.

I can go the other way too:

The third sentence has some detail left out, simply because the details seemed like nonsense and I had no way of stating them that wasn't equally nonsensical.
A measure of detail was necessarily removed from the third translation, however, this was done primarily for reasons of extraneousness of information contained therein.

All the others carry the same meaning.
Each other sample is written in a manner which conveys the same meaning as the exemplar vis a vis semantical purposes.

It's pretty funny that even when you're trying to simplify your language to an absurd degree to make some kind of point, you still can't write anything natural-sounding.

Over the days to come, the posts I make will take on a more simple nature in terms of words.
Starting now, I plan to write more simply.

Quote
The language I use will not use more than 2,600 words, narrowed within a kind of English called Basic English: BE 1500
I will restrict myself to an English subset called Basic English which uses less than 2,600 words.

Quote
To keep stable mind, I will only limit myself to its words and not its inner workings, which are made to only please people of international origin; who use English as a second language.
I only intend to use Basic English as a guideline for limiting my vocabulary, not defining my sentence structure.

Quote
I hope this will please individuals that did not like the form I used before.
I hope this will address some complaints about my writing.

For reference, this post was made in Basic English

On the other hand, if what you want is end up with something like http://bitcoinweekly.com/ ok, code it from scratch...
What's wrong with bitcoinweekly.com?  Not enough bells and whistles for you?  The only difference between that site and one you'd think was fabulously web-2.0 is a bit of CSS.

Two less now, sucker!  DISQUALIFIED!

I'll give 2 BTC to everyone who doesn't post in this thread between now and the new year.
