1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World is mess becouse 2 good people are out on: November 12, 2022, 08:44:52 AM
As an adult, our statements must be reasonable and responsible.  Where is that logic from that the world is a mess because two people are out ? I am not here to discuss who these two are and what they have or have not done. Just this statement alone is super dangerous. The world is as it is and how it is going to be, regardless of some people's influence. A great leader may make some big decisions or policies but that only happens in a limited span of time and areas. It might be an influential factor to the world but can never determine where the world goes. Being reasonable is the first thing we should learn as we grow up.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think that US is instigating war between China and Taiwan? on: November 12, 2022, 08:31:23 AM
Of course. The United States is the root of countless problems all over the world. U.S is no longer the only superpower or at least it has been in decine all these years. All the doings are centered on how to maintain his superpower. The most useful way is to keep all competitors down through causing them trouble and conflicts endlessly. It is an international consensus that there is only one China and Taiwan is just part of China. The U.S certainly knows this very well yet tries every means to destroy the relationship between them. Will the reunification of mainland China and Taiwan be done ? Of course, it is just a matter of time.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elon Musks Plan to make the world multiplanetary is just waste of time and money on: November 12, 2022, 08:18:26 AM
What makes you conclude that Elon's work on multiplanetary is a waste of time and money ? Let's assume that the ultimate goal can not be achieved at Elon's lifetime, does that mean that all his work and efforts are in vain ? Of course not. All products that SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink have are the ladders to eventually reach the universe. Don't underestimate the things that Elon and his team have devoted to and all great inventions are surely to be invented sooner or later by them or someone else. To believe in things dead is the end of achievement.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: November 12, 2022, 08:00:22 AM
This is hard to answer. Do teachers earn enough all around the world ? Probably yes, compared to most ordinary people. Why do teachers complain about their salary and welfares ? I guess it's because most teachers want more things than they really need. To be honest, all teachers are entitled at least two long vacations between terms every year and they can use this time to take care of their family or find a part-time job to earn more. However, not many of them choose to do so simply because they do not want to. They demand more while they do less. Well, I don't think occupations naturally grant people noble things, like you can never say a man is a nice person just because he is a pliceman. Teachers nowadays are not all qualified to teach students well in terms of enlightening them to independently think and find their own way of being and living. You know what I mean. Can't explain too much.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the world turning into?? on: November 12, 2022, 07:51:20 AM
The world is turning into a multipolar, fierce competitive space. As the US is steadily in decline these years, China has been keep up and made the second largest economy in the world. The Russian-Ukrainian war split the world more severely, Covid pandamic has caused the whole world in trouble and slowed down the economy a great deal. The days that US was dormiant and ruled everything were long gone. Southeast Asian countries are becoming another economic force that demonstrates powerfully on the world stage. We can never see the world as same as before. Get ready for a multipolor world and this helps a lot when we deal with many problems.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The US is the most aggressive country on: November 12, 2022, 07:40:18 AM
It is a simple fact that the US is the most aggressive country in the world. The US was founded in 1776 and ever since then, big wars occured within every two decades. Just take the past three decades as example, Gulf war, Afghanistan war, Iraq war, Anti-terrorism fights since 9/11, you name it. US military have killed millions people and destroyed so many cities around the world. If it is the most aggressive country on earth, which would be ?
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Concern about climate change shrinks globally as threat grows on: November 12, 2022, 07:26:01 AM
I never believe that people seriously care about climate change. It is just a political and/or economic movement caused by climate. Take Europe as an example, I guess Europians care about the climate change most and they are against any pollution as a whole. Well, in the past six months, especially since the Ukraine War broke out this year, why would European countries are becoming quite now ? Because of the Russia's natural gas cut-off, most European coutries are in desperate need of energy in winter. The high prices of energy supply have gone crazy and they are thinking about buring coals or other traditioinal ways to stay warm. So what about climate change ? What about CO2 emissions ?  Be wise.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is religion necessary for humans? on: November 12, 2022, 07:14:40 AM
Religion is necessary for humans for sure. I guess I can explain this in two reasons. First, from the physical level, life is hard for most people. Most of us fight all the time just to make sure the all needs are met. In pursuit of materials, we are exhausted sometimes can really need a hope to lead us to move on. Religion is the perfect embodiment of hope and motive. Most religions are soothing people's feeling and help people endure sufferings. Second, from the spiritual level, religion is what makes people feel great spiritually and to achieve the highest level or see God in heaven is their life-goal. People need these indeed.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: God smiles when Americans die, 2(now 3) more U.S. mass shootings on: November 12, 2022, 06:57:21 AM
I was shocked by the question here and some of the comments. What kind of people would say that Americans dying in mass shootings is for the sake of God ? Yes, gun control is truly a problem in the United States and personally I am definitely against holding guns and shooting civilians. Gun safety is the U.S government's responsibity to let them deal with it. How come some people are happy that a lof people die in mass shootings just because they want to prove that guns are out of control in the U.S ? In my opinion, those who dare say and think so are no different from the shooters. What a shame !
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Making the world a better place starts with you on: November 12, 2022, 06:43:55 AM
This world is a very mean and nasty place but worth living. I heard this quote from the fim Seven. At that time I was not old enough to understand this but decades later, I truly know its meaning. It's no arguement that the whole world is not as beautiful as fictions describe and actually it is very mean and nasty. People are living so hard in order to simply survive. Although there are many super rich people all over the world, the most of us are living a minor and difficult life. If each of us takes responsibility to look out ourselves and our family, the world would be much better. Don't assume that some super heros will come and save the world, the only heros are us, like you and me. It's only through the very subtle work we do every day that we can make the world a better place tomorrow. Come on.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying now part of human nature? on: November 12, 2022, 06:31:51 AM
I guess...yes, lying is part of human nature, as always. Whatever the topics are, we have to remember that humans are prime animals as well. How to survive has never been wiped from our genes. Lying in most time is bad, because we don't necessarily have to lie to protect us. And sometimes, we lie just because we have to tell some white lies in order to let others feel better or avoid harms. Lying is not necessarily bad and taking it as part of human nature is acceptable.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is United States on the verge of a civil war? on: November 12, 2022, 06:23:33 AM
As far as I know, the United States has always been divided into parties, groups, associations, legions rather than a cohesively united nation. Yes it's a super power in the world and nothing is gonna change this within a few decades. In fact, the inside has been split into so many political parts and there is a possibility that U.S is on the verge of a civil war. This is rooted in the first day of the nation's founding.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people withdraw their generosity during crisis? on: November 12, 2022, 06:15:18 AM
Harsh truth is that we humans are selfish in our bones. Being generous is a good trait that only exists in peaceful environment and people to associate with others or behave like a nice person. Giving money, food, clothes or any other things is not even a problem. However, in times of crisis, nobody would ever care about human morality and all we could think about is us, how to protect us from any harm or loss. Therefore, it is not weird when we hear in times of war or hunger,  people killed and ate people only to survive. Human nature as it is.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China playing with fire on: November 12, 2022, 06:06:15 AM
Well, certainly it not China but the United States and other western countries that are playing with fire. Xi once said: Those who are playing with fire will eventually perish by it. That's true in the case of Taiwan. The statement of Taiwan is part of China must be recognized as a world norm. Those who are against only-one-China fact are probably brainwashed by Western media and have little knowledge of history. Taiwan issue has always been a political disagreement and never was/is a nation conflict problem. Period.
