i m sorry to disappoint you but i vd chated with those "admins" and they are the one who told me to send some ETH to start helping me to their address that i vd wrote it above..
they have profile pictures with coinbene logo but if you look better they have other photos too, with dudes and asian chicks that could be from previous scams...

so...please be carefull about 1 Real Admin Never PM You First
2 Real Admin Never PM You First
3 Real Admin Never PM You First
they are SCAMMERS!!! please watch out!!!!

Wait! Do you have the screenshot of this conversation? If So please post them here. Why will admins ask for ETH? This is shady as fk! I would still recommend you to send an email to the xatom's address just like @Heisenberg_Hunter mentioned Xatom appears to be one of the Dev on the team. So you have a real chance here to recover your account. I still believe this is a small misunderstanding between you and the admins. Contact Xatom and report back here with the response you get.

It's strange that you struggling to find players. I see that Cricket discussion thread is quite active. But seems that people don't want to pay for fun, they prefere to earn from sig campaigns while discussing about cricket Cheesy

Personally, I'm not interested in cricket, I never watched a match of cricket in my life, so this pool is not for me.

That's too bad! I guess the pool was only good enough for a bump Wink
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash Issue - Only One Card Hashing on: August 11, 2018, 04:04:14 PM
adwebinc I believe the issue is a quite simple one... Just make sure all the GPUs are marked in the settings. See the image below.

Also, Increase your Virtual Ram By following these steps.

1) Right click "This Pc" or My Computer
2) Click "Advanced System Settings" in the left tab.
3) Goto "Advanced"
4) In the "Performance" section click "Settings".
5) Goto "Advanced" and Click "Change" in the virtual Memory Section.
6) Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size for all devices".
7) Select a drive with enough space.
7) Then click on "Custom Size"
8 ) Set the "Initial Size" to this formula.

(Amount of VRAM each card has * Number of cards) + Amount of Ram your pc has.

e.g for 5 x 8GB cards and 16 GB ram.

(8192 MB * 5) + 16384 = 57344 MB

You should set whatever the value you get in both "Initial Size" and "Maximum Size".

Click "Set" then "Ok", Click "Apply" and Click "Ok" again. Afterwards, it will ask you to restart your system. Restart your system and it should resolve your issue.

Also, tell me this. When your system is booting up. Are the fans of your GPUs spinning? And do they all stop spinning when the window is finally booted up?

Don’t think you’ll find more than a handful of cricket fans to join a pool unfortunately. Wish you good luck obviously but think you’ll struggle. It’s certainly not for me,

Yeah, I got the memo, When I posted in this thread. Almost everyone is just bumping up their signature posts. The Pool got almost zero traction in that thread.

Is there an Indian or Pakistani sub section? You might have better luck posting there.

Let's be honest here. They are only here to make money not spend it Tongue
727  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Talking the Market Down on: August 11, 2018, 12:24:06 PM
What I am more interested in is that people who talk the market down, do they actually benefit off from it. Do we have some sort of historical proof for this? I have heard this many times before that anyone who is too negative about something has usually missed out on an opportunity to buy in low. But Do we have any sort of evidence for these kinds of manipulations? I would love to see a real-life case.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Unprofitable - What next? on: August 11, 2018, 12:14:35 PM
Are you guys going to hold on to your machines or start selling?  Turn off for now and wait it out?

Time to get creative then mate. Your GPUs can be still used for many things. Like Rendering/Ai Training etc. If you own more than 30 GPUs you can easily get in touch with your local universities and offer their professors/researchers your GPUs to be used for AI training. One of my friends landed a 2 years contract with a local University this way. Same goes for the Rendering. You can look up for Local Animation Studios and get in touch with them. I am sure you will be able to sort something out with them. You may have to transfer these GPUs to their facilities, a small inconvenience but you will still make more money than mining at a loss.

If you believe you aren't comfortable doing this and you think that you can break even by selling your hardware. Then do that immediately.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining VS Rendering on: August 11, 2018, 11:39:01 AM
Interesting project to say the least. Looks like Golem has a competitor. From what I have studied and tested GeePeeU PCI bandwidth isn't an issue for rendering as compared to AI training. I got the following results.

Vray Benchmark:
https://benchmark.chaosgroup.com/gpu/details?hw=Intel%28R%29+Core%28TM%29+i5-2300+CPU+%40+2.80GHz+x4%2C+GeForce+GTX+1070+8192MB+x4&id=16244

System Specs: i5 2300
Ram: 10 GB
GPUs: 4 x 1070s

The difference is of +/- 2 seconds. Keep in mind I used a PCI-express 4x Splitter and these results are from a single PCI-lane.

Here is another result from octane bench:

I saw a 10% performance loss while using the "splitter". Still isn't that much IMO.

What I am more interested in is why they are worried about the latency issues and how golem will tackle it. From what I have researched there are plugins already available for connecting up multiple machines for rendering in a LAN environment. Are you guys using one of these? That's the only logical explanation for me to not accept people with less than 100 GPUs. Cause their "software" isn't made to do rendering on the global scale i.e is to split up the task and send it around the globe to an average user/miner.

Also, what will happen with GPUs who will stand idle for most cases? Are you going to support mining as a backup for them? I can't imagine these GPUs are being used 24/7 unless you have managed to land every single Animation studio on the planet to use your service, which I highly doubt at this stage.

731  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-09] Ready-to-Use Malware for Bitcoin ATMs Found for Sale Online on: August 11, 2018, 09:19:50 AM
You still have to get access to some kind of port to transfer the Malware onto the machine, so how are you going to do that if the access ports are locked up inside the machine? By terminal you mean, some kind of command prompt right? So he hacks into the command prompt and launch a script located on a website to redirect coins to his/her Bitcoin address or to launch the Malware?

Ok, that makes sense, but that would need some pretty good knowledge of the software that are being used on these ATMs.

As per Youtube videos, There are special commands to access the command line/terminal on these ATMs but I believe it isn't that easy tho. There is indeed some sort of social engineering required, you may ask why? ATMs are usually behind strong firewalls and they are only allowed to communicate with a specific server, So even if they get access to the command line/Terminal they won't be able to download the malware. Unless they have discovered a way to bypass Firewalls of these ATMs which I doubt strongly. They are at square one without social Engineering.

Howdy! Lads and Gals, I have recently opened a cricket betting pool. I was wondering if you guys would like to participate in it. The Entry fee is 0.005 BTC and the pool pot will be 0.05 BTC. You can read more about the pool in the thread. I am looking for 9 members to join to start things off.
Its very hard for you to have 10 members for cricket here on this forum because very few peoples understand and have interest in this game and you need to give more information about this how is this going because you post just one match which is not helping also try to do some work before post hopefully some one join this like CPL is going on right now and or Australian or any country's complete home series is much better

Can't make one bit of sense from the gibberish you wrote. This thread has more than 700 pages, I believe there are more than enough people who do understand cricket. You can find more details about the pool in the thread, Which I think you didn't even bother checking out. The pool will feature both International and Domestic matches in case you are wondering.
733  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-09] Ready-to-Use Malware for Bitcoin ATMs Found for Sale Online on: August 10, 2018, 05:02:22 PM
How will they launch an attack against Bitcoin ATMs? There are no access point on the outside of the device to load any Malware. http://prntscr.com/kh4h75  The only people who would have access to the insides of these devices, would be the owner or the technicians that would do firmware upgrades and repairs.  Roll Eyes

I am glad to see that Trend Micro engineers are reacting proactively, before Malware like this hits these machines.  Wink

Social Engineering must be a big part of using this malware. I don't think it can be installed without some sort of social engineering. Almost all ATM malwares require some sort of social engineering and this shouldn't be any different. I dunno if you know this or not but there is a terminal on every ATM machine. They are probably getting in from there and the rest of the magic is done via malware itself I believe.

What is our assurance that Bitcoin will stay for long or forever?  There is a prophesy I have heard that Bitcoin will fall.
Can you share some strong reasons of why Bitcoin will last?
~Snip

I am not talking about Bitcoin getting replaced. That's another story altogether. I am talking about its existence, Even if it gets replaced by something "Better" or "Efficient". Bitcoin will continue to exist in some form. That's why I said the Free and open internet is the biggest assurance any crypto can have. I can't imagine something decentralized to exist without a free and open internet.

I don't want to offend you silent26. I know why do you think this must be done but these are Terrible Ideas IMO. Theymos is totally against "Destructive ideas" which will harm the community in the long run but will deliver short-term results. I agree with "inPRIVACYweBELIEVE", If any one of your suggestions would have been implemented He/She couldn't have registered. Especially in 50 registrations per day. Also, The Bots are literally thousands of times faster than humans, those 50 registrations would still goto bots. I imagine it would become a norm then to buy and sell accounts and these farmers would only Profit more from a system like this.

What came to my mind after reading your thread is to introduce some sort of an application system. Where will new users have to answer some questions about, why they wanna join Bitcointalk? Where did they hear about it? Etc. The Reviewing process can be done by patrollers and moderators alike. But then again Hilariousetc suggestion about shadowbanning newbies till their first approved thread/post serves the purpose just fine.

Just forwarded this message to my team too. We understand your concern now and it's currently being discussed Smiley

Thanks for the feedback!

I am glad that you have forwarded this issue to your team, I would love to see the results in the coming months or so. I believe it shouldn't take more than 3 months for 2 developers to move the games from md5 to the seed+client+nounce system. Good luck in the meanwhile.

People who only see Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme bring nothing of value to the table.
Agreed!

Quote
Yes the price goes up a bit but it's different from people who believe in the technology and why it was created in the first place. People forget that this is supposed to be a currency not a form of investment.

THIS!!! Bitcoin was supposed to be a fucking currency! Excuse my language. But the "community" has lost its vision. The day bitcoin became an "asset". That was the day the path was paved for Bitcoin Forks! It just makes me low-spirited that almost 90% of the community treats bitcoins as an asset and has started calling it the Gold of the crypto space. Listen! Lads and Gals, We don't want bitcoin to be the gold. That shit is almost immovable and we don't want that happening with bitcoin.

The lightning network gives me hope that one day Bitcoin will be recognized for what satoshi visioned for it. Also, I agree with IconFirm. We don't need "allies". Wall Street will bring in even more manipulators to the party than we already are suffering from. I guess its a good sign for those who perceive bitcoin as an asset and not a currency.

I think that's not the case there,  you we're accepted with the help of Merit from LoyceV/LoyceMobile,

As we all know LoyceV is a well known here for his/her quality posts that is beneficial to this forum and,
I think with that, it is already a proof that you have done well and it helped the Manager to conduct a fair decision.
My Merit doesn't mean I agree with a post, it also doesn't mean I endorse a post. It means I think the post is worth reading, and in this case Heisenberg_Hunter made a good point. Someone who received 0 airdrop and earned 104 Merit shouldn't be excluded if the requirement is 100 airdrop + 20 earned Merit. The requirement is based on the assumption that barely anyone ranked up thanks to Merit. That was valid right after Merit was introduced, but nowadays more and more people rank up on their own.

LOL Butthurt spammers these days. @cabalism13 I know exactly why you got rejected. I didn't have to do much digging to find out why you got rejected. Let's get started, shall we?  Roll Eyes

I think a chatroom would be more effective than this.

I kinda disagree. Imagine a thread like SpamBuster in a chat session. The things would get messy quite quickly. What I can agree on is your second idea, Along with a separate board for high merit users, introduce a chatbox for that specific section. This way it will become an effective tool to fight spam.

Quote
This rank would have perks like getting access to hidden boards(read only or read/write both), ability to have custom Titles, bigger Personal Text, avatar, signature space and obviously different shiny coins, and a chatroom/ message groups(like a mini telegram/whatsapp but not requiring any phone numbers).

THIS!!! A new rank isn't required tho.
