The bear market does not justify the bad behavior of Dash regarding currencies with hardly any development that already surpass it in capitalization.

Is it time for a change in the Dash Core management?

Is it time for the nodes to decide who they want to take the reins for the future?

The good thing about Dash is that tomorrow a proposal can be submitted to dismiss Core's management and if the nodes decide they will put new people.

Is Core the problem of Dash?

Probably not, but this is like basketball or soccer teams, if the team goes wrong, the players are not fired, the coach is fired.

Are 4800 nodes wrong?

Is an attack to get cheap Dash face future governance control, controlling 51% of the master nodes?

Who controls the majority of nodes will have enormous power in the future if Dash does not disappear.

I have followed those weeks to the Dash wallets, and it is accumulating in the top 1000 and percentage is lost in the rest, this means that it accumulates by few hands while small wallets succumb to the price drop.

Personally, yesterday's presentation of the Dash Core has let me down as an investor.

If I had to score it over 100 I would give it a 50, and it would be generous.

I counted at best 235 people online. 235! when there are almost 5000 master nodes.

The only thing that explains this is that these nodes are in very few hands. Any holder, holder of one or more nodes would do the impossible to listen to the live talk.

This got me thinking : do Dash users know how to verify the provided hash file that is available with the official Dash downloads ? (to verify if they have downloaded the correct official Dash Core Wallet file ?)
So i wrote this quick hash verification procedure for Dash users that are using Windows 10 / Windows 7.

When downloading from the official https://www.dash.org/downloads website, you will often come across this 'Hash File' :



After downloading such a 'Hash File', you end up with a SHA256SUMS.asc file. This .asc file can be opened with notepad / notepad++
which shows you the hash for each download and which looks like this :



Now lets for example download 'dashcore-0.14.0.3-win64.zip' and verify its hash to make sure that the downloaded file is actually the correct file with a match to hash number '0c3fe9a3658f4b676596154b085793fe6674f4d2c5c6015146f8bcedc883e25a'

For Windows 10 users, i suggest using Windows PowerShell (Admin), which you can find when you right click on the Windows Startbutton. For Windows 7 users i suggest you search
for Windows PowerShell within Windows 7.

Within Windows PowerShell (Admin) use cd to go to your download directory, use ls to list the files in there and then use command CertUtil -hashfile fullfilename* SHA256
* you can select and then copy (ctrl c) and paste (ctrl v) the full filename from within PowerShell  




As you can see the hash of the file i downloaded (dashcore-0.14.0.3-win64.zip), match with the provided hash in the Hash File.
The same can (and should) be done for other files like the Linux x64 file, when you for example need to update your online server / masternode.

Since it looks like we will be having a Dash Core Wallet update (v0.14.04) soon, we all will have an excellent opportunity to practice this.

DASH, once again, will be the top of altcoins in privacy features, and in the race to bring more convenient experience on privacy for DASH enthusiasts. Charlie Lee likely won't be able to manage Litecoin project on good development pace.

Ive been in contact with CEO of Bitshash and Bitspark at the TOKEN2049 summit in Hong Kong and I brought up the topic on security of dash platform versus bitreward coin. Bitreward token was collectively deemed a winner.
