thanks for the link, this looks like a real contest. unfortunately its 3 days in now, I dont know if i will be able to catch up. How did you find out about this, is there some mailing list I should sign up for to be notified in the future?

Thanks again!

Okay dont do the contest...there is a huge exploit where all you need to do is buy and sell between two demo accts. You cant lose, at certain times of day its possible to drain a 100K account in about 4 hours as there is a 20dollar spread. All you need to do is buy and sell to yourself....this isnt trading...its a waste of time.

still looking for a real trading contest.

Now if you know of another exchange that allows trading using the MT4 client and allows shorts, please let me know.

FxOpen....it's actualy the provider for BTC-E's MT4 and liquidity: https://www.fxopen.com/News.aspx?Id=8d12a6d7-c216-431c-8a06-93aa689a1bc8&agent=836159

7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy 0.04 btc on: September 05, 2014, 05:58:37 PM
Was it easy to buy using them? Would you recommend in the future as easy and hassle free. I'm curious as I have a few friends in Canada I'm trying to help get setup and your experience would be helpful.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to invest 550 BTC? on: September 05, 2014, 05:52:34 PM
You could always look into the PAMM accounts at BTC-e. some of them are making a nice return on investment.

Check it out, if your looking for a passive investment income.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does any trading bots support bitfinex, lakebtc and btc-e? on: September 04, 2014, 05:30:58 PM
I didnt see this suggestion, so i am adding it here.

Why dont you just use MT4 on BTC-e, there is a full library of both free and paid EA (Expert Advisors ie Bots), that you can use with source.

The only problem i see with using these Fx brokers for bitcoin, is the spread is outrageous! I find you are better off using BTC-e with the MT4 client for serious trading.

Now if you know of another exchange that allows trading using the MT4 client and allows shorts, please let me know.
