41  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Much Would You Be Willing to Pay For A Bitcoin Membership Site? on: November 19, 2015, 01:50:27 AM
Haven't all the inevestment schemes with bitcoin been scams and ponzis ? I think more than 70% have atleast ended as a ponzi. For that reason, I don't think the site or similar schemes would be popular.
42  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: November 19, 2015, 01:48:00 AM
I am siure most of the people geet into bitcoin through gambling and end up losing it all at a later point. Always the case Tongue . I have seen 2 kinds of people mostly. Ones who have more than 5-10 BCTc, and second those have like only 0.01 . or less than 0.05
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday 2015 on: November 19, 2015, 01:45:38 AM
This will be a good chance to get hardware wallets guys! I know that Trezor guys were giving big discount last year. This is something worth thinking about!
How much discount?and where the BBF opened?

Thats probably the only offer that would be worth looking into. Last year the offer was really convenient for a lot of people to buy a hardware wallet. However I think they sold multiple at a discount. So GB would be needed.

Is this the 4000 or 5000th spam account you've created where every single post you make says the price will crash to 0 any second?  And how much do you get paid for each account by the Russian government?

His post history probably indicates trolling the forum. So I wouldn't be surprised. Plus its a speculation board. I guess thats what speculators do mostly on here. We never see anuy optimism.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 18, 2015, 03:22:14 AM
I like the optimism, but we have to be realistic too. 500 should be just enough for the halving, with 600/700 we have reach a excellent price. Anything over that is big bonus!
The only problem is the existence of so many bitcoins , so evenm after halving people could possible sell all their bitcoin just to profit and bring the stable price back to 300's

Doesn't look like anything like that happened. Somee one would need leike 3000 BTC to actually pull that off. And if that information was public, it would obviously not be hapening.

 Smiley

Is it a return based investment or just investment for social cause ?

Either way I don't see any investor making back that 300,000 or more, specially when they ahve competition and any company can take them out.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 12, 2015, 04:28:56 PM
Looks like it is moving around abit now but far from expectations from what everybody is saying it will reach so high by month's end.
Somebody mentioned btc being $160 at the beginning of the year. I never really recall it being that low. And it is a bit of shocker when you think about it where we are as of now.

this just shows that the bitcoin price is going through a heavy roller coaster. people simply don't know what will happen, that is wat makes it interesting for traders. if you hold for the long term, then current price doesn't matter that much for you.

It does if the price in long term goes towards single digits Tongue

Satoshi himself said  that in 20 years it will either be huge or dead. Most of the price swings have been manipulation, so 100$ might just be the correct price for it in long term.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 12, 2015, 04:27:14 PM

I think merchants will adopt bitcoin if many people ask them to accept bitcoin & there's bitcoin payment system which allow merchants to accept bitcoin easily.
So, we need bitcoin payment system such as BitPay or Coinbase & high demand of payment with bitcoin.

Maybe not always. I am sure amazon , ebay etc are all aware of bitcoin, and bitpay but haven't chose to adopt it. Probably they are in a mutual relationship with other services like paypal and all.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2015, 02:30:08 PM
I've invested abit into gambling sites and earned quite good returns on my investment. Although there's is still a chance that the site goes down or a whale comes and wins alot

Unfortunately there have been people who have done investments and analysis of the same. Thy ended up losing most of their btc. So its best not to take those risks and save on to bitcoin instead.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friend: I like gold because you can run with your money if you have to on: November 12, 2015, 02:15:25 PM
*Looks at friend*, OH really?

Friend: LOL GOOD POINT (no words needed he knew what I was getting at)  You can go anywhere and no one knows you have anything.

Yes yes I can.

During economic hardships the gov steals from those that where smart enough to save to help the idiots that just kept going out to bars on debt.  Save yourself from this theft.

Really? i think that your friend never do that or dont think on it very well xD try to travel around the world with 1kg of gold and tell me if you can go anywhere without problems... Tongue

Btw as @bitbaby said, there is no needed to compare bitcoin vs gold, both has his advantages and disadvantages, but if you let me choose one of them, i will go for bitcoin Tongue

ANother way or looking at it would be that if person wants retention on value. With bitcoin he would be taking the risk of losing money to the volatility it brings along.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2015, 02:14:11 PM
Another way to grow your Bitcoins would be to invest into it and wait until the price goes up. Then, exchange some of your Bitcoins to a crypto pegged to the value of fiat. You could try BitUSD, Nubits or Tether for this. After this is done, wait for BTC price to get lower, then repeat the process above. Hope this helps  Grin

The smarter way to do it would be buy it at 250 , and then wait for price to go up. Then sell all at 500. Then wait for price to drop and buy again, and 250 ,and for the same amount you will not have twice the amount you initially had.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friend: I like gold because you can run with your money if you have to on: November 12, 2015, 12:26:57 PM
There is no need to compare a digital currency with a metal, don't know why people are always comparing bitcoins to gold, each have their own advantages and drawbacks and there is no point in arguing which is better. There is another thread on this in Economic section I think and it's an unending debate.

Depends on what aspect . Here it clearly makes sense where the friend wishes to run with gold as he thinks more value and less detectable. But if he knew about bitcoin, that woul not be the problem with even millions of dollars.
55  Other / Archival / Re: Tax investigation on: November 12, 2015, 12:24:15 PM
Hi

If someone get into his bank account huge amounts every month from bitcoin,   He doesn't pay tax and dont have a company in the country
he could be taken to Tax investigation ? Money laundering investigation ?  Do banks report income from bitcoin ?

Yes always the case. Unless you can set up an NGO in your name and claim to be accepting money for that through bitcoin. But getting an approval for that will probably be super hard.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 12, 2015, 12:21:27 PM
Of course it needs help, without those steps being fulfilled bitcoin will remain forever at the 200-300$ price range.
Completely wrong.  If Bitcoin provides an operational advantage, the value will go through the roof.  Those 'steps' you describe are just plain stupid.  You are probably stupid as well.

There, you have your argument first and insult later.  Better for you?

Well, i maybe dont agree with rawdog style but in my opinion he is right like never before. Bitcoin, like any other currency (yes, for me Bitcoin is currency, i use it to buy or sell other things) need to be used if we want to give more value to it. Merchants and services will never adopt it as payment option if we dont use it frequently and average Joe will never use and buy bitcoin if he cant spend it.

Looks like he chose to reply with an egoistical attitude towards that. It is clear that without merchants adoptiong it, there is no advantage to common people to use bitcoin, rather than just use fiat.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 12, 2015, 12:18:52 PM
Not a waste . I got my friend introduced to bitcoin and soon after he became a localbitcoin trader and now makes a living out of just that. Also its good for bitcoin overall. So its good to.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Bitcoins Do You Have? on: November 12, 2015, 11:28:45 AM
Close to 0. I sold mine when the price went up to 500. It was obvious the price would drop once the pump stopped and price correction happened. WIl probably buy 2-3 at 250-300 range.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Bitcoin film? on: November 12, 2015, 11:26:52 AM
Rise and Rise of bitcoin , because it starts from back in 2008 and shows a first hand experience. Also amazing watch. Check out silkroad related movies and docs too. They are pretty good too.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin have you donated? on: November 12, 2015, 11:26:06 AM
I haven't donated to any such institutions yet but I will someday when I win everything I have lost so far.

Which obviously would almost never happen. Maybe you should donate some in advance as you will anyways be donating them to the gambling websites either way .
