1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GDGC] GadgetCoin | Smart Contracts on Hardware | IoT | M2M on: October 24, 2015, 01:40:36 PM
There is a new project IOTA. How GadgetCoin will compete with the NXT community? Can it compete?

We are grateful more than ever for the support of our coin holders, but I have to admit our development team have miserable failed to gain a greater support for GadgetNet/GadgetCoin on bitcointalk.org. We are sorry for that our platform isn't popular. IOTA started 2 days ago, but it is already lot more popular than GadgetNet. We obviously can't compete with the NXT community in generating interest for our software and tech within this environment. Still we believe that GadgetNet can be a successful venture outside of bitcointalk.org. Since the VICR process closed we have been working with IoT businesses such as ZoVolt as well as W3C to make our platform better and one of the primary Internet-of-Things micropayment solutions. I am not familiar with IOTA nor with TileCoin and I am unable to make a comparison between the solutions, but here is what we do:

1) Privacy. As we explained many times, the lack of privacy within the public block-chain such as Bitcoin is a major issue for real world Internet-of-Things companies. We addressed that requirement by implementing the private/public block-chain concept. As you can see in your wallet, your transaction information exist in your private block-chain, it is available for you, but it is not exposed to the public block-chain. This is what IoT companies, factories, solution providers and regulatory bodies require.

2) Performance. Real time Internet-of-Things devices management requires a reasonably good performance. You don't want to wait 12 minutes for a transaction confirmation to open an IoT powered Pay as you go self storage door. The transaction and device management must be instant. Our average transaction processing time is 0.875 second. This include device control and payment processing. You can see the instant transaction processing by sending money in your wallet.

3) Interoperability. We found this is a key issue for Internet-of-Things companies. To address this requirement we have started working with W3C to integrate and industry standard communication protocol suit into GadgetNet. The key word is "industry standard". Large industry players such as Ericsson or Fujitsu who support the W3C project won't touch a non-standard platform, but even small factories require standardized software to control their PLC devices or security companies to manage their IoT camera devices.

4) Scalability. IoT devices are very domain specific and it is probably the less important issue for the industry, but we still addressed this requirement and the GadgetNet platform is scalable. We rented 10 super large servers in the summer to stress test the software by creating 50,000 instances. There were no performance degradation at all and the data indicates the platform can manage +10 million devices. Though these numbers are irrelevant at this stage. If the GadgetNet platform will manage 100,000 devices then our investors will be multi millionaires, and therefore it is no point to get ahead of ourselves by talking about the scale of million and billion devices.

5) Regulatory compliance. No real world Internet-of-Things business will use a platform without regulatory compliance is in place. In majority of cases these are ISO companies which require the application and devices must be audited and transaction information to be available for the regulators upon request as well as in real time. GadgetNet addresses this by implementing the private/public block-chain concept.

6) Device provisioning. No real world Internet-of-Things business will use a platform without provisioning and management capabilities. To send a UDP packet from device to device is fine, but that is only 1% of the process. The devices must be provisioned: configured,  managed and upgraded in a secure manner. The provisioning process must be audited. We manage this via smart contracts. You can see how our smart contract engine works in your wallet. The Internet-of-Things devices use the very same smart contract engine.

7) Security. Using the PPK infrastructure the security is pretty much same as for any other digital currencies.

GadgetNet can move to the monetization phase very soon by providing for clients a technology with the above attributes.

PS:
Terms of the business development, everything is going as we promised, and we will bring an update on that.

Thanks man! Good to see that you understand the industry and you have a clear vision about what should be be done.

There is a new project IOTA. How GadgetCoin will compete with the NXT community? Can it compete?

i am still reading this forum every day but I lost almost all interest in crypto. i support only two coins, GadgetCoin and Bitbay. others have no purpose. NXT used by 0 real world users after 2 years development. IOTA will be the same. few people will make lots of money with it. the NXT community will sell to each other, but nobody will use it in real world.

I have nothing but respect for the NXT founders for creating such a great platform and vibrant community like NXT is. I like and respect James, jl777. Despite he is a prolific vaporware asset wizard, he is an extremely talented man in software development and more importantly in selling his ideas. No doubt Come-from-Beyond will be very successful with the IOTA project having the support of many talented people. You can see those many legendary and hero members in the IOTA thread. Even TPTB_need_war is there already. Those influential crypto users will make IOTA a very successful project - within this Bitcointalk environment. The founders will probably raise 1 million dollars by selling IOTA and then the NXT community will start selling to each other the IOTA digital currency. What will happen beyond that is predictable by the current state of NXT and other alt digital currencies.
Terms of the technology. Anybody who ever worked with IoT understand what are the real world use cases and user requirements, and can make the conclusion whether IOTA addresses them or not. It's cool having a protocol that could manage 50 billion devices, but IMHO that's simply not what real world IoT companies are expecting from an application frameworks. Of course I can't speak for the GadgetCoin developers, but based on the GDC whitepaper and info posted in this thread I believe GadgetCoin is on the right track in providing a real world application platform for real world businesses. There will be many cool projects like IOTA, TileCoin, etc., but IMHO there is enough space for multiple blockchain based IOT platforms, so personally - while I am respect them and I am sure they will make some money - I am not panicking from IOTA nor from TileCoin.

No need to discuss here what others do. Lets support the devs to make the GadgetNet platform profitable.

Interesting and good luck. GadgetCoin has been working on IoT for a while, not an easy area.

@mtomcdev

I think essentially the structure does make sense and thanks for organising it, except my concern is that wouldn't be this an illegal securities offering in the United States? I am not sure just asking. I have contacted our lawyer in the US but he has no idea what the implication of attaching shares to a digital currency trade. Generally speaking perhaps it is not illegal to sell for example a house and assign some company shares as well to the buyers as a bonus to incentivize the purchase, but perhaps it is a slippery slope. I am concerned because if this project will be successful - we all hope it will be - then there will be always somebody who try to destroy it and could request an investigation from the US financial authorities. I am not saying it is illegal securities offering, just asking.

I am positive that it isn't an illegal securities offering. The shareholders sell the share not the company. The sell of the share on the open market by the shareholder doesn't constitute a breach of securities law. You are free to sell your property any time. We have discussed that many times in different threads. The law is applicable only to the company that raise capital by selling unregistered shares to unregistered investors.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin prices are low. Which coin would you invest in? on: September 11, 2015, 10:46:44 AM
Bitshares definitely. Great project with real opportunities to address real world business problems.

Another which could be exceptionally good if all plans work out is GadgetCoin.

UPDATE

Thank you for the update!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GDGC] GadgetCoin | Smart Contracts on Hardware | IoT | M2M on: August 24, 2015, 10:27:52 AM
Great to see some activity here. M2M and IoT technologies will rule the world and digital currency exchanges won't rule a thing. Bittrex, BTC-E and Bitstamp will be long gone when M2M and IoT techs will be integral part of businesses and personal life. It would be nice to trade this on exchanges, but I think you can make it without the exchanges. If you can make it without the exchanges and pump and dump hyping then it means you have a real business with a solid foundation.

Thank you all for your kind and very useful information about this troll. From the information arrived in 30 minutes I can tell, he had pissed off many users in the Bitcointalk forum and many of you are very angry about the actor. I will keep you all updated in PM.

It is rather peculiar that even in view of the gross display of idiocy of that individual, not one of you, not even one, has bothered to let him know how big of a ridicule he was making of himself exposing his lack of understanding not just of the phrase "tongue (firmly) in check", but of the most elemental perception of sarcasm. Nope sir, you were all too worried thinking on how better dismiss any sense of critical thinking, any perception  whatsoever that you might be wrong and you may lose your money on this. No way, no how. Better silence in the face of blatant, gross stupidity because, after all, we don't necessarily believe in this stuff, we just need it to be perpetuated long enough to make money off of it at whoever's expense, right? Who cares about rationality, research, statistics even or, on the other hand, intolerable levels of idiocy, IF THEY DONT SERVE/SERVE OUR AGENDAS, right?

He calls the supporters of this project retard, greedy, blind scammers, he says collectively we have an agenda here and he accuses we are fraudsters and we are here for financial gain "at at whoever's expense".

Enough is enough. Does anybody know Jose personal details, address? Please PM me.

Now how about the convenience of those cameras from China, ah?

Would you like to receive a camera and try the application which is developed to industrial end-users?
Please PM your address and phone number and we will be very happy to ship a device to you, create an account for you so you could evaluate the technology.

Thank you for the offer but why don't you explain to me, clearly, exactly in what way would this be profitable for your future DAC? Because this is already in use, and has been for more than a decade, in all kinds of industrial uses, from traffic and weather services to banks and cities in general, not to mention law enforcement, prisons, detention centers... where is the PLAN to make money out of it? It is FREE already. I am sure I am missing something here... but you will be kind as usual to illuminate me on the possibilities. And I am assuming -but I am sure you have all that covered-, some kind of insurance is involved against vandalism, weather damages and the like. Installation, it goes without saying, will be left to the purchaser which, naturally, will be experts at it...

While you are at it, please let me know how you propose the DAC to be a profit point for Gadget investors. Also some more specifics of the PLAN, such as carrying the books, file taxes and actually taking care of all internal deployment, control and administration. I understand that guy, Tardi, will take care of simple orders, but what happens when there has to be 24/7 customer service, administration personnel, implementation and distribution personnel... because, as you keep on pointing out, this is not just (let me put that "just" in quotes) a few models here, a bunch of gamers there, a control of content so the authorities don't just close the shop, but constant search for IoT venues, such as there cameras... also, again, explain to me how you can make money of things that are already in use and have been for many years, completely for free. For instance, anyone with a smart phone can control the temperature of his refrigerators from across the world, not to mention the thermostat of his/her  air conditioning, record TV programs etc... all for free. How do you beat FREE? Again, I'm sure I'm missing a lot here, but confident you have all bases covered.

Once I have all that explained clearly to me, I would gladly test these cameras that have been selling for years and, frankly, don't require your software at all for they come already equipped with everything necessary to connect them to your internet... Once again, I am missing something here but will be anxiously awaiting for your clear explanations and willing to get on the phone with Jamie Dimon himself to get this -and the enormous savings it will bring to him- implemented at every Chase office nin the planet.

Are you that stupid or are you just trolling again?

It seems you are just trolling again by arguing that innovation has no place in software, the blockchain based IoT has no place in software (see IBM's effort) and no new software should be developed because as you said there are existing software already does the job. If developers would take your advice there won't be any new software in the world anymore.

Wtf the DAC has anything to do with the camera and the security software? The DAC is for VICR owners, it's not for you. The devs said that they might form a DAC with VICR owners or might not. You are not one of the 15-20 VICR owners so the DAC has nothing to do with you, even if it is formed. Forget the DAC, you are not invited there, because you don't own VICR contract.

It was a simple question, do you want a camera because your problem was until this moment that the technology will not work. Now you can validate if the technology works. Do you want to try the technology with real, physical camera devices or not?  Try the camera to validate the claim about the technology.

Do you want to borrow the 50 dollar from me for the camera if you don't have that money?

Exactly what was the scam part? Did Garza run out with the money? Did he dump massive amounts of it at the top?

Here we go, the resident troll and chief wanker of Bitcointalk let us understand better his corrupt mindset. Thanks for the community effort and the hard work of investigating journalists, shills like barabbas couldn't push the Paycoin price up, Garza was caught and was unable to run away with the money, therefore barabbas' moral dictates that as Garza was caught and couldn't complete the scam it was not a scam at all.

On the other hand, the VICR owners of Gadgetcoin are after newbies' money, liars, scammers and greedy bastards.

Did you order a camera to try the GadgetCoin technology?

Just to clarify,

As probably most users of this thread understand, the GadgetNet video streaming services jizzmo and streemo, as part of our generic IoT framework aims to provide a live video streaming software. Netflix - as probably most of you know that and in case if don't we explained it above - provides VOD, video on-demand service. VOD, Netflix's business has nothing to do with live streaming. Live video streaming and GadgetNet are different than what Netflix does and offer.

As we explained in our latest update, we have been working on integrating CCTV camera devices, exchange integration, the UI, etc. and therefore, we are not only working on the press release and nothing else.

As a VICR owner I would prefer you focus on the development instead of trying to convince this idiot. I believe VICR owners understand what you are trying to achieve, you have a very good plan with real world use cases and lot of works ahead.

You are young, enthusiastic and you want to win over everyone, but believe me, you don't have to win over the resident wanker of Bitcointalk forum.

You and others explained many times to this idiot what is your application, what P2P and VOD are, what the hybrid model of GadgetNet means, what's your vision regarding the generic IoT platform, what is on the roadmap. The idiot is still coming back with his obsessions that you haven't released the P2P yet. He is stupid and troll, you can't do anything with that unfortunate but powerful configuration which seems is default and isn't adjustable in his case.

Keep up the good work and don't worry about the trolls!

Just remember that barabbas is either an idiot with too much time on his hands, or a professional troll. You wouldn't believe the amount of coins that he comes in and FUDs with daily essay length ignorant posts. Yet he supports Paycoin.

The combination of both, 70% idiot and 30% troll.

I know absolutely nothing about video streaming, but by now I understand as it was explained to this idiot many times that the jizzmo and streemo sites at stage one will be using a hybrid model with RTMP streaming to be able to serve Flash clients. In the meantime the team works on a novel P2P live streaming software, but jizzmo and streemo will not be true P2P at stage one. The idiot doesn't understand this (70%) and keep trolling that nothing is happening, and where is the P2P application (30%), which by the way is due by 1st December 2015 according to the road map.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Banx Shares - Bitcoin profits paid monthly on: July 21, 2015, 03:54:45 PM
My guess from your insistance of us sending you 1BTC to "cover your costs" is that you just want us to send you money

No guessing is required in this rather very simple matter: your senior member of staff, the cyber fighter, the pissed off lead developer voluntarily offered me to cover my travel expenses with regards to a visit to your office. I didn't suggest that visit. No. The cyber hero invited me and said the expenses will be paid. I said fine, I am coming from London by train and a very modest, cheap one night hotel will be fine, so send me 1 BTC. Now, you think 1 BTC (£160.00) is unreasonable. Furthermore, because I want to keep the information regarding the time of meeting and details about your operation in the public domain - so others can at least benefit from my visit by being able to review your financial details -, now, you require my name and address to be posted here. Only you know, why my name and address need to be disclosed publicly in order to put a meeting in your calendar, to disclose the information about the time of meeting and the details of your business plan and financials.

I am a pensioner with so much time at my disposal, but right now you are wasting my time. You don't want to agree about the time of meeting nor the agenda of the meeting nor disclose the details in the public domain nor you are willing to disclose financial details about your operation, never mind about the travel expenses which you offered me in the first place.

Since this offer about my travel expenses clearly isn't serious, based on what I saw here from the bulked up cyber fighter, your CEO and yourself, now I will contact law enforcement and will tell them what happened here and that it seems to me there is a rather suspicious operation at 81 Market Street, Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1AH carried out on British soil, which facilitates money collection from investors and offers in my opinion completely unrealistic returns by giving hope to investors based on unrealistic business ideas and vaporware software and of course without disclosing the financial details of the operation. Then law enforcement will take everything into account - including the physical threats from your member of staff, that you and your CEO are perfectly comfortable with that, your smoke and mirrors posts, etc. - and decide whether they will look into this or not (I would be very surprised if they don't).

Let us know when you hear from the police Fraud Prevention Unit and other departments of Her Majesty's Government.

Good day gentlemen.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Banx Shares - Bitcoin profits paid monthly on: July 21, 2015, 02:17:38 PM
so we can work out the best way for you to get here.

Work out what?
Send 1 BTC to the above address and I will be in your office at 81 Market Street, Ashby De La Zouc, LE65 1AH at the time what you will post here in this public thread. If you tell me be there e.g. at 2 PM this Thursday or Friday that's fine, if you are available next week that's all right too, I am available at any time. There is no need private email conversations for this, we can keep everything transparent in this public thread.

As for Byrons response to you none of us here (including myself and Mark) have any issue with the way he responded.

That's what I thought and great you confirmed this here.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Banx Shares - Bitcoin profits paid monthly on: July 21, 2015, 02:05:47 PM
I bet you still think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme.

You are delusional my son if you think the genius of Satoshi Nakamoto and Bitcoin, the greatest innovation of the last two decades has anything to do with the Banx "investment opportunity". As well as it indicates your arrogance that you compare this shamble to Bitcoin.

And let us get on with building this crypto business

You can start building or rebuilding the Great Wall of China, I couldn't care less what you build. I was invited to Leicestershire by a bulked up cyber fighter who happened to be a senior member of staff at Banx, so one way or other we will find out whether a bunch of wankers or nice and honest business professionals run this show and employ the cyber hero.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Banx Shares - Bitcoin profits paid monthly on: July 21, 2015, 01:30:59 PM
so are you really surprised at the response?

No, not really. Such aggressive and unprofessional response was precisely what you would expect from a desperate and pathetic ponzi operation. Therefore, since we have no idea whether it is a ponzi or not there is no surprise at all to read such a response.

So now we would just need to find out whether a bunch of wankers run a ponzi in Leicestershire and Worcester or honest professionals operate a sustainable business. I can't wait Banx will let us verify Byron P's claims and prove this is an honest and sustainable business operation.
