Is it worth cpumining this coin? I have 8 nodes with 2x e5-2670 that is running aeon right now for about 30-35 usd per day.
this coin looks to have some major potential imo wallet issues seemed fixed...very slow with 20 connections though for a new wallet sync. You can speed up the sync by going to: File -> Reload Blockchain, after that completes go to: File -> Rescan Wallet

My Vericoin wallet had been running just fine and then for some reason it will no longer sync the block chain? It says I have peer connections but I can leave it running for hours and hours and it just gets further and further behind Any suggestions? In the wallet: Click File->Reload Blockchain, once that is complete click File->Rescan Wallet

With the upcoming releases and more development coming I feel safe with money here and in Verium.
Hi Mad, could you tell me which releases are coming? I mean, any (real) big news on development. I'm thinking to join this project, but I looking for more info. https://portal.vericoin.info/roadmap-the-future-of-vericoin/

It's good to see your post, Dev . it's quite long to see you on this forum . I will join this slack for it. I still buy some coins once it's deeply down and hold it for long term period . Yes, please join Slack. The devs are on daily and there's a lot of stuff happening.

Will do. Quick (noob) question. I opened my wallet today to stake some more. Wallet is in synch, and states it's staking. However, under 'Balance', it shows it's only staking a very small amount of coins, whereas yesterday it showed the majority of my coins as 'Staking'. I have multiple VRC adresses, and the largest ones already paid interest. Is this normal? Yes, this is completely normal. One thing to note is to keep your wallet open as much as possible so that the "Time" portion of the Proof of State Time (PoST) algorithm maximizes how much you get.

How much can I minning the POS per month with 10,000 coins? There is some statistics
Roughly, 25 coins per month

The plan is not good Low production capacity Equipment cost is high High power consumption
Completely disagree with you. That rig is hashing 9x what my computer does and at a much much lower cost for hardware at 1/4 the power draw.

So everything is working now?
i have problem syncing the blockchain. that's a known bug in the wallet (fixed in the upcoming release). you should be ok, just give it some time.

That is so bad . VRM is still down . I stopped mining this coin 2 months ago. Where is DEV ? He disappeared out of forum after ICO funding and we could not see him anywhere. Maybe He is travelling in certain sea paradise with all investors' bitcoins.
What are you talking about? Where is Dev? Are you really asking that??? He posted 4 posts above yours only a few hours ago. Read much?

Some good news, a VRC investor with an academic programming background similar to Doug and I has indicated interest in joining us. I'll be providing milestone payments as funding, as promised. More details to come after we figure out what we want to tackle first.
This is great news. Thanks for the update!

As some of you may know, I finished graduate school this past summer and have now been working pretty busy hours. Because of this, I can't devote the time I was once able to, and would like to, working on VRC/VRM. Because of my inability to commit large amounts of time to the project, I am willing to donate up to 75% of my VRC holdings to help fund another developer. My VRC holding is pretty large, in the hundreds of thousands of VRC. I will be happy to disclose more specifics to any interested parties after vetting. To make it clear, I am not leaving VRC/VRM and will not be stepping away as a developer. Instead, I will be donating my own hard-earned money to help keep VRC at the forefront of the sector. Instead of going down with the ship, hopefully I can help right it. Details: Send me an email if you are interested in this: pnosker@vericoin.infoThe public address that holds the funds will be released to a candidate of my choosing with payments dispensed as 10% of holdings per 3 months, starting with the first payment as a goodwill payment before work starts. There is no minimum time commitment but milestones will be set based upon our discussion. I would like a proposal about what features or elements of the VRC code you would like to add or improve upon. I would like to see some prior code relating to another cryptocurrency project. This would be a great way to earn a large chunk of cryptocurrency. Some projects we have planned and are working on that you may want to use in your proposal/help finish: -Doug's anonymous sends/public usernames system which relies on multisig generation (you'll have to ask him for more details) -Implementation of BIP32 hierarchical determination of keys into the main core VRC wallet -An independent mobile wallet that does not rely on a central server (ideally would use SPV technology) -Improvement of VRM core wallet mining speed Any luck with finding a new developer? Some exciting fresh blood on the team could get his coin moving again. Maybe Doug can talk about some of the potential candidates during his radio interview on Thursday?

Removal from Bittrex would suck but keep in mind that Livecoin is trading VRM as well as the VRC/VRM pair. So... Bittrex isn't the only low volume crappy exchange for this.

Is there any development on Vericoin or Verium?
Quote from: effectsToCause on Today at 12:50:26 AM Hey guys, Working on wallet update, finishing it up. The Verium protocol is working great, the price seems to have found a floor near the margin of profitability, which is what one expects absent excess speculation. The hashrate also found a peak and bounced off a floor at a decent level for cpu mining. Also notice our launch was more decentralized than zcash mining due it being a gpu mineable coin mostly. New wallet will encourage more solomining, further improving security. Next release after upcoming one will be the pairing release and miners can optionally earn VeriCoin as well after that. Thanks for mining and supporting Verium!

I did as said, deletet 1.01 and installed 1.02. Now all my mined VERIUMS are lost, even if i saved the wallet.dat and imported it in the new version that's to be expected. this is just a test. the 'real'/main network is not online yet.
